“We had become products of the hate we received.”

Daisy’s POV

“My father couldn’t handle the loss of his mate. Killed himself that night, broke the last straw that held my mother’s sanity,”

The words lingered in the air, my heart thundering loudly in my chest at the final blow he had just dropped.

My body ran cold, feeling his dead stare on my body.

“I had only tried to save her but in turn, I had killed her,” he muttered, throwing his head back, downing the last content in the cup, down his throat.

“Leave” he growled in a dark voice.

I shuffled to my feet, stumbling, trying to run out of the tent faster.

Alec’s voice echoed behind me, no one had the right to experience what he did.

Alec and I had almost the same growing up, and in a way I found myself understanding his hatred.

Alec was fighting to save his mother. Even through out these years, you could see from a mile away that she still had her tentacles deep into Alec controlling his every move.
