Logan's PovWe were already settled and the pack had been brought back to what it used to be. Kyra felt the beauty which she once felt years back and I was so happy to see her happy just before we leave for our pack finally. She had promised to help us get back to our pack when the time comes, so that day she called me into he courtroom to discuss on how we were to return back. I was so happy when I had her say that we could go back to the pack and she would do everything possible in her power to protect us from any further attacks.I was so glad and I kept on thanking her and Ace for having saved me and also accommodated I and my pack members all these while . I had to promise her that no matter how apart we might be, I would always remain indebted to her and Ace. She approached me and we both hugged each other . For me , Kyra was like a daughter I never had and I was so proud of her because I knew her parents would also be so happy to have a daughter like her for restoring the Lost
Squid's PovAfter I had joined Rahl in attacking a distant Pack, he had to go to the Blood Moon Pack while he requested that I returned back to the cave and look after it.As I approached the cave , I sensed that something was wrong and that something had taken place. I quickly ran towards the cave to understand why I felt this way. The shock I got when I found the cave already to the ground made me very furious.Who must have been responsible for an act like this, I kept thinking.i tried calling out to the guards who were in there when we left but no one answered. As soon as I saw how the cave was, the cage immediately flashed in my memory. I immediately got in through the entrance, but it was all closed up by the fallen rocks. Does this mean that all the people I had left in the cage were died by now or what?If they were still down there ,then the fallen rocks must have collapsed on them. I needed to find a way down there to confirm for myself if there were still survivors there.
KYRA'S POV "Your highness." Someone called out from behind and I turned around. I have been standing in my study for a long ass time, overlooking the landscapes of the pack. I turned to see it was my beta, who looked a bit worried. With my left brow arched in wonder, I asked, "Anything wrong?" "Yes, Luna." My beta answered, with an expression mixed with worry and seriousness. From her expression, I could guess the issue at hand was something unwanted to her. "Tell me about it." I said, as I walked to sit behind my desk. There were different documents scattered all over my desk and I sighed knowing I still had a lot to do for the day. "Luna…" My beta called out and I looked up. "News of you defeating Rahl has spread to other packs and there have been both positive and negative comments from people." My beta started and I frowned. My frown made her shut up and then I said, "Go on." "For a start, the Alphas of two different packs are in the waiting room, right now. They reques
KYRA'S POV I staggered in my wolf form as I ran and limped toward my pack. There were several warriors behind me and they were all covered in wounds of all sorts. But then I was happy. We were victorious and we were able to weaken Rahl a great deal. His hideout was destroyed, we freed his captives and his minions were killed. However, Rahl was able to escape but then I could bet that he would be on the sick bed for a really long time. "Luna, are you okay?" One of the warriors asked from behind through the mind link. However, I groaned in response because I was too tired. I had a broken limb, the reason why I was limping. We were almost at the pack when I spotted Ace, still in my wolf form. My bones weakened at the sight of him. I had been acting all strong ever since but now I could lean on him and be taken care of. "Kyra." I heard Ace call out to me as I approached the huge gate of the pack. He ran toward me and he was able to recognize me in the midst of every other wolf. I
Making up war chants with the names of the packs they had conquered and destroyed was the job of Jago the Omega, but after this particular victory everybody in the pack was in high spirits. They were all howling and growling, brandishing their sharp and bloodstained fangs while swinging from tree to tree, wherever they could find one. The moon was halfway across the sky and the closer it got tot the center the more the adrenaline raged in their vains. Rahl, a thousand year old evil Mage who was up until a few moons ago a myth to the Wolves of New Orleans had led what was left of the Half moon Werewolf pack to victory against the Werewolf packs of Silver creek. They returned with spoils of war ranging from food, female Wolves to mate with and silverware, to the head of the Alpha and Luna of the Silver Creek pack displayed on pikes. The remnants of what was once the great Half moon pack of New Orleans, and some other Wolves who were prisoners of wer from his previous conquests all ov
Rahl's Pov There is nothing as satisfying as being unpredictable most times. Everyone had always seen the Light Moon Pack as a place any body could stay in without being attacked by any force. It was a pack in which most people in it were werewolves who had been kicked out from there respective pack for one reason or the other. I had shown a lot of power and force in so many strong packs , but the light moon pack was one in which I had not thought of. Not thinking about it wasn't because it didn't interest me, but because I knew I would have a hard time in it. A thought struck and that was how strong and powerful I would be rated if I was to over power the Light Moon Pack. I wasn't going to fail in this and it would be give me lots of powers. The pack had vision seers, diviners, socerer's and lots of people with various skills. Taking it down wouldn't be a bad idea and I would be able to final get almost ten different powers at once. Once I succeed in this scheme no force wou
KYRA'S POVAs the new and rightful Luna of my parents' pack, I was determined to set things right. Rahl's activities could no longer go unnoticed by my kind. If I let him continue, he would only get stronger with time and pose an even bigger threat to the werewolves and perhaps even to me. A feeling of self preservation nagged at the back of my mind though. I wondered if it were better to leave Rahl alone. Since I had defeated him once, chances were that he would leave me and my pack alone now and in the future. Besides, I should have been secretly pleased by what had happened to the Blood Moon pack but I wasn't. I took a moment to analyze my feelings about Rahl's defeat of the Blood Moon pack. What I could feel was grief at the lives that had been lost in Rahl's quest for more power. My jaw set in determination. I would do all in my power to stop Rahl. With Ace by my side, I knew I could. I sneaked a glance at him. He was watching me carefully, his eyes attuned to every expression
KYRA'S POVLogan stood up hastily, almost upsetting the chair. The steadying hand of his guard prevented it from falling over. Hands clasped behind his back, he paced the room, obviously agitated. My eyes followed his movement. With a muttered 'Excuse me', he hastily opened the door and left the room. From the window, Ace and I saw him striding briskly away, his guards half running and struggling to keep up.With a sigh, I turned to Ace."Rahl's exploits seems to have that effect on people, doesn't it?" I said dryly."Yes, it does."Frowning, Ace picked up his fork, pushing the food on his plate around, not eating anything. I placed a hand gently on his arm. "You always tell me not to worry, Ace. Now you're doing the same." "Touche" he said, grinning and letting his fork fall back in the plate with a clatter. "I'm relaxed, see?" He spread out his arms. I laughed."Seriously, though-" I continued. "Something has to be done about Rahl and fast. Did you notice how on edge the people h
