ACE'S POV

After whispering some inchorent words to the soldier, I helped myself into the chair beside me and began to speak to the old man who was still trying to catch his breath.

"Oh my! Thank you sir, what would we have done if not for your help!" I said with a wide grin, wrapping my hand through him. He smiled as he gulped down the second cup of water that was given to him.

"It's a privilege to help my pack in the little way I can help. If I refuse to help and we eventually get attacked, would I be spared by those who comes to attack the pack? No, I wouldn't. I have a bit of advice though and I'd love if you put it to good use," he said in a calm and reserved voice. I was curious to know what he was talking about and couldn't wait to hear him speak. I aided him on with a wave of hand as I didn't want to distract him. He cleared his throat and began to speak, slowly but steadily.
