HARDIN'S POV

I was shocked to the marrow the moment I heard those words from his lips. I began to fidget as fear gripped me at once. I wasn't scared for what he was going to do to me, I was scared for my son. It all made sense why I was seeing all those guys there. They must have been moving when they were suddenly attacked by Rahl and his men.

"I hope you haven't done any harm to my son? I'm not going to spare you if you dare lay a hand to him," I threatened in a loud and formidable voice that echoed through the forest. Rahl scoffed, rolling his eyes with indifference. He clasped his hands together as he sauntered towards me.

"And if I've hurt your son, what are you going to do to me?" He said with a fierce reaction that sent shivers down my spine. I swallowed hard as I stared right at him.

"No, I need to know what you are going to do to me! You this spineless and toothless dog, you've got the effrontery to threaten me. That's really funny…" he laughed snapping his fingers at once. S
