HARDIN'S POV

I still had my sword to his head, and I was really ready to behead him if he decided to act foolish. The air was heavy and filled with uncertainty. He glared at me and I was sure he was trying to Calculate my next move. If only he knew what I had in plan for him, then he wouldn't even dare to act stupid. I was all ready for him.

"Drop all weapons at once!" I said in a loud authoritative voice that would have sent shivers down the spine of ordinary persons. He was hesitant to do so but the moment I pushed the blade deeper onto his neck, he immediately dropped his weapon, panting heavily like he had just completed a marathon. I beckoned on some guards that I knew would be there and in they came at once, shocked to meet him there.

"Take him out and tie to the plank in the open space. I have some questions to ask of him and I'm going to make sure he answers me with nothing but the truth," I said with great confidence that I had not the slightest explanation for. A sigh esc
