Mate!!!

The guards rushed to my side,setting me free immediately…… I felt a new source of energy surged through immediately.

I kicked the one in my front in his groins very hard, making me release myself. The others came rushing to me but I did justice to them.

I don't know what came over me but all I know now is that I'm gonna set myself free forever.

"And that freedom starts from today" I said in affirmative.

"Freedom!!!!" I screamed inwardly.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry towards the tunnel I guess only I knew about. My legs kept splashing mud all over as I ran at great speed. 

I knew waiting for the Patriarch family is useless and pointless as I won't live the next seconds to see them.

"Ouch!!" I Yelp out in pain.

My feets got stucked on one of the rotten but sharp trees on the path I was taking….guess I was deep in thought not to have noticed it.

I hissed out loudly trying to remove the piece that got stuck on my foot but it was useless.

Blood gushes out of my leg and it keeps stinging badly.

"I can't sit here or else they did catches up with me" I thought inwardly.

By now they would have been notified of my disappearance and probably cooked up a story for the Patriarch family.

I dragged myself up, biting on my bottom lips hardly….. the pain is unbearable but I can't afford to be taken back. 

"I need to fight to keep living" 

I heard some distant voice coming towards my direction, I hurriedly tore my already torn and tattered gown to wrap it on my wound so as to stop the bleeding.

I hid behind a big tree when the voice was closer enough. I knew I couldn't run faster anymore but the best thing was for me hiding and making sure I wasn't fished out.

"Where is the person you claimed you scented here" a chubby dude about 5.8m tall asked a guy who looks taller and younger than him.

"Alex I'm very sure I perceived her smell here" the other guy who looks younger and taller replied bluntly.

"Now where is she?" The chubby guy asked, getting rather pissed off.

The other guy made an "I don't know " face while trying to fish whosoever he was finding.

"Tyler I don't want the Perry's family to think we're spying on them, we only came here for the ball that's happening tonight" The chubby guy said to the other guy who was still not convinced of someone not being here.

"So tonight is the ball night" I thought inwardly.

No wonder Derrick was bent on making Lisa be the Luna of the patriarch family.

"They can't possibly think that Jasper" the guy whose name is Tyler said.

There's only one possibility here,is either they're representatives of a pack or one of them is an alpha while the second should be the beta.

The place I wounded my leg earlier kept stinging me badly more because I rested so much weight on it……. I winced slowly in pain but it seemed I was heard.

"Who is there?" They both asked in unison.

I covered my mouth, looking for something to at least defend myself with if worst comes to worst.

"We're not gonna hurt you so please come outside" Tyler cooed looking around to see where I might show out from.

I'm bursted already, which I know. I retraced my step slowly trying to balance myself well on one of my legs since the other was wounded. 

I picked up a heavy but short plank to defend myself. I know I can't defeat these guys but at least I mustn't act like a weakling in front of strangers.

"Mate!!!" The guy called Tyler spat out immediately and set his eyes on me looking at me closely.

"Mate???" Jasper and I repeated at the same time to be sure we heard him right.

He nodded his head in accordance while taking slow steps forward.

"Don't come near me" I said slowly holding the plank in my front.

"Calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you but here to help" he said gently holding his hands out like a form of surrender.

"Stay where you're" I said in a shaky voice which sounds more of a plea than command.

He finally got to where I was standing, I got lost in his emerald eyes which held nothing but love and affection in it.

No one has ever looked at me the way he did…..

"I guess the moon goddess finally answered my prayer" 

But my fear now is that….

"Will he equally accept me for who I'm?" I asked myself, cutting short the joy I felt in me.

"Are you okay?" He asked gently, holding me up by my shoulders.

"And do I look like I'm?" I retorted back, getting pissed off and drained out.

"Jasper we needs to head back, she's injured" he said to the guy whom I later found out to be his beta.

Woah i got mated to an alpha….

"How sweet!!" I muttered breathlessly to myself.

"But we don't have much time left and moreover we don't even know her" the guy retorted irritatedly staring at me from head to toe.

Yeah I know I look like a rogue but at least I deserves some honour and respect.

"But the fact remains that she's my mate. You don't fucking expect me to leave her like this" Tyler yelled in his alpha tone making me stood rooted to the ground.

I mean no one has ever cared for me nor stood for me like the unknown Alpha just did…… I felt what I haven't felt in my years of living which is….

"Love!!!" 

"I'm sorry" the guy muttered sounding defeated.

He didn't bother responding to his apology before heading on his shoulder like some log of woods.

 "Hey put me down" I yelled rapping his back.

"Find a comfortable inn for us to stay before the ball starts" he said not minding the way I kept screaming my lungs out.
