I closed the door with an indifferent look on my face and then bent down to comfort Laura.

"What's up, crybaby? Why are you crying again?"

Laura continued sobbing. "Let me give you a rub, Mom. It'll ease the pain."

"I'm not in pain at all." I picked Laura up in my arms and sat down on the sofa.

I began to think that living too close to James wasn't exactly a good thing.

Brenda was really important to the Somerfield family, so they would definitely come to James's house very often.

Laura would be upset every time they showed up. This might lead to her having mental illnesses in the future. I had to rethink the arrangements for Laura's future.

On the morning of the next day. I sent Laura to school and went to a charity house to see if Laura could be sent there after I died.
