Chapter 5 You needed to offer him that love

“Natalie!” Adam called me and I could hear him running after me. Just tried to stop me, you fucking jerk! Just try it.

I ran outside the packhouse and in one jump in the air I let Kelly take control. This is our first shift after I came back from death's arms. I need this like air. I need to calm down or I am going to kill every single person that hurt me in my past, and by past I mean my former life.

“Natalie! Stop it right now!” he shouts but I don’t care.

“”Take us to our place, girl!” I tell Kelly and she runs directly into the forest, jumping from cliffs and giving me the ride of her life until Adam’s voice can’t be heard anymore.

I can see her white paws hitting the ground in her attempt to exhaust herself to the point where every single cell of our system will be so damned tired that we will just rest and close our eyes, and stay there in peace.

I can see her reflection in the water while she stops for a second to lick some water from the river and she is so beautiful that I want to cry. She is the best gift I received from the gods. The best wolf ever.

Calm and good hearted. Strong and powerful at the same time and so damned beautiful. I suppose that her appearance was what made Adam claim me. Kelly is as big as his wolf and he is an Alpha by birth while I was born as a beta. Completely white and with clear sky blue eyes she is perfect. She doesn’t deserve the shit Adam put us though.

She deserves to be happy. We should have stayed in heaven, because let me tell you. This is the hell. Coming here, coming back is pure hell!

I have no idea how long we run but now seeing her reflection, seeing the moonlight over Kelly put me in front of a decision. I will make everyone pay!

“Nat,” Kelly suddenly says. “Stop thinking that you offered love to a man who didn't deserve it. He certainly needed your love, even if he never understood it." and I can feel Kelly’s pain. She loved him too. She loves his wolf too.

“You know , Nat.” she whispers with pain but with relief at the same time. “He didn’t know that he needed you, but you needed to offer him that love. You are the best human I know. Your heart is pure” she tells me and that enrages me.

For her, even for me. What good is to be so good if in the end everyone hurts you?

“Kelly” I say and I am gritting my teeth.

“I swear to you that they will pay for what they did to us.” I tell her and she takes a step back and looks around.

There is a meadow from where we can watch the sky that looks magnificent right now. Tonight is the Supermoon. It’s Sturgeon Moon and she looks so close that I can feel that I can touch it.

“Can you shift?” I ask Kelly and she is giving me back the control, letting me transform back in human form. This is our perfect place, where we have been since I was a child. This is my happy place on Earth. Far enough from Red Blood Pack, but still on its territory, on the shore of crystal clear mountain lake and with the night’s sky above my head. What could I ask for more?

“Just relax, Nat” Kelly whispers and I walk to the meadow and lean on the grass and place my hands under my head watching the beautiful moon.

“Why did you bring me back?” I ask the goddess and I know that this is something for me to find out, because she didn’t explain anything to me, she just said that I need to come back for the safety of our world.

I am nobody in this world. Just the Luna of this bloody pack.

I am lying completely naked as if I am tanning at the moonlight and questions after questions are pop-ing into my mind. There are so many why me, so many what if and even more why now.

I laid there lost in my thoughts and I didn’t even realize when a foreign scent filled the air.

“Holy shit, Kelly!” I say jumping on my feet.

“Who is there?” I ask scared. Is not a scent from our pack. Holy crap whoever is here is watching me naked!

And before I could do or say another word I looked around and grabbed the clothes that Kelly carried here during our run. I almost feel those eyes on me, and a damned manly scent, is someone that emanates a lot of power, but where is he hiding?

“Just dress and run, Nat!” Kelly whispers a little bit taken aback.

I dressed myself with the light speed and I just fled out of here, without looking back. Whoever was here watching me can't be here with good intentions.

I ran as fast as I could and jumped over the river and cliffs and just when I was ready to turn my head back and see if someone was coming after me something hard hit me.

“What the hell, Natalie!” a voice asks as I try to lift myself from the ground, completely

shocked from my encounter with…Phillip. Phillip our beta? What the hell is he doing here?

“Natalie, are you alright?” He asks as he offers me his hand and helps me lift from the ground.

“Yeah, I was just looking back...I thought...”I say but looking at him a strange idea came to my mind. Was he the one who was watching me?

“No, he smells different” Kelly whispers , sniffing the air. “That was not a scent from our pack.”

“What are you doing here, Phillip? “ I ask him and take a look back, but trying to look confident as if nothing happened.

“I was patrolling the area and I caught a foreign scent. It’s a wolf from another pack that entered here without permission” he says and that made my heart jump.

Kelly was right. But who was the mysterious man ? Was he a pervert? Why would he watch a naked woman from behind the trees? And I can’t focus on thinking about this strange man.

“Natalie, you shouldn’t walk alone at this hour with that stranger around. We don’t know his intentions, if he just got lost or if he is here with evil intentions. I am driving you home” he tells me and motions when I walk.

“I can walk alone, you know? I am not five to babysit me, Phillip” I tell him and look back again.

“Of course you can,” he says, giving me a genuine smile. “You are a badass luna and always force yourself with training and exactly that’s why I need to protect you if someone is here.” and with a serious gaze he continued.

“Adam will kill me if something happens to you under my watch.”

Adam, Adam and Adam again. I am sick of him.

“Phillip” I say as we were close to the packhouse. “Where do you stay in relation to Adam?” I asked him directly.

He is his beta, I am not expecting him to support me, but at least I need to know if he will condemn me for taking revenge on Adam.

“You are my Luna, Natalie” he says without looking at me, and continuing to walk but in slower steps as if he was trying to give himself time to explain something to me.

“Just as I said. You are the best and I am damned proud to serve you. You did a lot for this pack and I, as a beta, will serve you unreserved. No matter what, I will support you” he tells me and that made me stop in my tracks.

“Thank you, Phillip,” I say with calm.

“I am sorry for what he did,” Phillip says. and that got me. Is he implying something?

“You are better, don’t let anyone doubt that. He is making a mistake” and he stops too.

“I will let you two talk. '' Phillip says with a sad voice and that made me realize that Adam is here too.

“Where the hell were you?” he growls and runs in my direction and pulls me to his chest searching for something.

“She was taking a run with her wolf,” Philip says with calm. “I gave her a safe back to home drive” and with that Adam motions to him to leave.

“Why did you run, Natalie?” Adam asks me and wraps his arms around my waist but I push him and get myself out of his grip.

“Did she accept the rejection?” I ask him directly and I can feel that he stopped breathing. Of course she didn’t. She is a bitch with a plan.

“Natalie, you shouldn’t act like this” he says and I can feel that he is pissed off with my behavior but I don’t give a shit and as I turn around I say.

“I am not negotiating anything here, Adam. It’s me or her” and I take a step to return to the packhouse but he is grabbing my arm and he kisses me by force, as if he is trying to show me something. He slams his lips on mine and he is kissing me by force, but I bite his lips until I taste blood.

“LET ME GO!” I say pushing him hard and making him stumble. “I can't be in the same place with that woman. If you respect me you will force her accept your rejection and ban her!” but my word must have triggered something because as soon as I said that Adam turned around and left cursing me, wiping his blood from his lips.

“He will never ban her,” Kelly tells me. “He feels attraction because of the bond mate.”

“Of course he feels attraction, otherwise we wouldn’t be here, fighting each other. He would have rejected her from the first second he met her, it’s because his wolf wants her.” and just saying that I realized something.

“And he won’t stop until he has her. I realize now, Kelly. Adam is weak. He can’t fight against the bond mate. If we are not doing something ASAP we will return to the point where we will be dead again. “

And I see him pushing an omega that just appeared into his way as he enters the packhouse.

“I want to divorce” I say and I can’t believe that I am saying this but this is what I want.

“I want to divorce!”
