Chapter 32

(Rowen)

Leaving Ambrosia with Claude had an uneasy feeling floating in my stomach, but I knew we could trust him. It was everyone else I didn’t trust. But this was the only opportunity we may have to get answers from this guy, and we couldn’t let it pass us up.

The issue was getting him somewhere where we could have him alone without any of the other Vampires noticing. That was going to be the trick here. We split up keeping the mind link open to communicate, and keeping eyes on The Other at all times.

It took about 20 minutes until he randomly walked off by himself through the corridor. No idea why or what he was doing, but we intercepted him immediately.

Ramses grabbed him and materialized him out of Rome completely, and into the forest behind Katrina’s house. I followed, then had Nico materialize to me as he had never been there before to materialize there.

He was surprised, to say the least, but he knew exactly who I was. “Ah, Rowen. So nice to finally meet you.” He s

Chapter 33I got out of the shower and headed into my closet to grab some basketball shorts for bed. Found my favorite rose gold pair and slipped them on, towel drying my hair and letting it fly wild. I threw the towel on the floor, but then decided to make less work for Ambrosia and picked it up, hanging it on the shower enclosure to dry. My thoughts went back to tonight. Besides all the secret missions, we actually had a lot of fun. I thought about all the poses we did on the red carpet, and wondered what the magazine covers would look like this year. I had been featured as the man of the year, world's sexiest man, Rome’s sexiest man, sexiest supernatural creature, most available bachelor… The list goes on and on. The Blood Ball magazine feature was always rather large. Most of the magazine to be exact. I think I was more excited to see Ambrosia on the cover, as I knew they would plaster her face everywhere as the sexiest pet. Since I bought her, her skin had darkened quite a bi

Chapter 34Damn… I must have been tired because when my eyes finally fluttered open, I realized Ambrosia wasn’t in bed with me still. I sat up and stretched, then climbed out of bed, heading to my closet to find something to wear. I could smell breakfast downstairs and realized I was definitely hungry. I could hear Rosa and Ambrosia chatting from the kitchen while getting dressed. I ran my hand through my hair. That’s going to have to be good enough. I thought, as I walked down the stairs. I mind linked Ramses on my way down. “Brother, have you seen the headlines this morning? Go check them out!” I said. “Oh, we have already been looking. That was a fucking blast and we need to do it next year too!” He howled. “I’m sure that can be arranged. How is my mark looking on Katrina?” I asked. “Oh it’s about halfway gone, we are getting there man!” He said. “Thank the gods. Lets hope this next few weeks goes by quickly and that fucking mark can be gone for good.” I replied. “Any other wo

Chapter 35“A Hybrid?” I questioned. I was interested in hearing the story behind it, or at least how my brother planned to combat the stigma surrounding Hybrids. He looked at me and we locked eyes. “In a sense.” He replied. I was vague and did not answer even one of my questions. “Do explain.” I said. “It would appear that a Reaver who did not grow up within a coven, but did grow up with a Wolf, and who believed that she, herself, was a Wolf… Would have enhanced her Wolf traits. Thus, allowing her to have a mate bond…” He replied.“That is interesting, indeed… Luna, huh?” I asked. “It’s a long story… But yes, she has accepted the Luna position in her pack. It was lacking without one, and their Alpha was set on having her by his side.” Raziel said. “So she’s Luna and High Priestess?” I asked. “She is.” He said. “Incredible.” I replied. I took a seat on a black couch with gold accent pillows. “Ambrosia.” I said, and she took a seat on my lap. “So, about your eyes.” Raziel said, lock

Chapter 36“Pinky promise?” She said, holding out her pinky to me. “What?” I asked. “Pinky promise me that her fate will not become mine.” She said. Humans are so strange, how does a pinky promise make her feel better? Whatever. I thought. “Ok. I pinky promise that her fate will not become yours.” I said, and we locked pinkies. Her heartbeat immediately started to calm down now, as if that little motion really did secure the deal. Humans were so strange with their ways. “Do you feel better now?” I asked. “I do, thank you. Didn’t we have to talk to another brother of yours now?” She asked. “Ah, yes, Raphael. I’m going to mind link him first to let him know we are coming.” Then I mind linked my brother. “Raphael!” I said. “Rowen, are you sick? You never mind link me.” He replied. “Oh come on, I do too… Ok, maybe I don’t. But I have a dilemma and I need your help.” I said. He sighed out loud. Come on over, I'm home.” He said, then he closed the link. “Ok he’s home, you ready?” I ask

Chapter 37“Well, that was interesting… Your brother is…. Interesting.” Ambrosia said. “Isn’t he though? But don’t worry, sharing you with my brothers was only a one time free sample. The only brother I truly share everything with is Ramses. So you’ll get used to seeing him, the other two not so much.” I said. Ambrosia looked at me with a confused look on her face. “Don’t worry, doll. We will get to that point only when you’re ready, of course. No need to panic.” I purred. It seemed to calm her, but I laughed inside. She had no idea what was in store. Ramses and I always shared literally all things, even women. In time she would understand. We spent a little more time with both of my brothers than I anticipated and it was almost sunset by now. There was this really cool place on the beach in Naples that I wanted to show Ambrosia, but I figured she was hungry first, we hadn’t eaten anything since we left. I turned to her and grabbed her hand. “Let’s go get some food!” I said to her

Chapter 38Once I was out of the shower and dressed for bed I called for Ambrosia. She came wandering into my room and climbed into bed with me. She was obviously still thinking about me naked, because the blush still hadn’t left her cheeks. “You should have joined me, you know.” I said. “Oh yea? And why’s that?” She replied with a little sass. “Oh, no reason. But it could have been fun.” I smirked. “Oh I’m sure you had lots of plans if I would have.” She said, while laughing. “Doll, you have no idea.” I replied with a chuckle, which seemed to make the red on her cheeks permanent. I pulled her into my arms, letting her lay her head on my shoulder. Her hand was on my chest tracing the muscles of my chest and abs. Her touch was soothing, calming even. It put ease to my racing mind. I had never noticed it having this type of effect on me before. Could it be something new? My mind went back to our interactions and how often I had her in my lap, playing with her hair, or running my fing

I wasn't even awake yet, how was she this perky already? “Morning, doll.” I grumbled, trying to sit up and wipe the sleep from my eyes. She was already up and bounding around the room. She seemed to be in the best mood ever. “Oh, I'm taking full credit for her good mood. I definitely did that.” I said to Viper with a snicker. “Yes you fuckin did, ha.” Viper replied. I watched as she ran off into her room to change before heading downstairs for whatever reason. I was still sitting on the side of the bed grumbling to myself. Normally I’m good to wake up easily, but today I was not having it. I flopped back down on the bed and closed my eyes. I must have dozed back off because I woke up shortly after, to Ambrosia straddling me with her hands pining mine back to the sides of my head. “Oh, you want to play, do you?” I said, and

Amethyst started laughing so hard. “He’s also very rough with sex. Thank god I wasn’t a virgin, he might have killed me the first time… But I will say he definitely has the experience to know what the fuck he’s doing.” She said. I just shook my head. “Wait, wait, wait… So you guys are telling me that I'm the only damn one that hasn’t slept with my Master?” I hissed. They both just looked at me wide eyed. “You haven’t?” Amethyst cackled. “No!” I cried back. “How? You and him slept in each other's bed every single night I lived here…” Amethyst questioned. “Yea, sleeping in each others bed is a lot different than fucking. You can sleep and not fuck.” I said, astonished that neither of them apparently could. Ambrosia raised her eyebrows at me. “But why would you want to do that when the latter is so mu

Chapter 51“I-I didn’t know!” I shouted, trying to convince them. “It makes sense now, it’s how you have magic. It’s why no one has come looking for you. They can’t get in here when you have the only key that opens this Box.” Andres said. The playful, boyish tone he once carried was completely gone from his voice. Rather than sounding like a 19 year old boy, he had the husky voice and powerful tone of someone who had lived a millennia. I instantly panicked. I had to try and play this off or I was going to be killed right here, right now. “I don’t have a fucking amulet, you would have seen it on me by now if I had it! I’ve been here for months!” I huffed, trying to defend myself, but not sound too guilty. They didn’t need to know that it was cloaked in magic, that could stay a secret. But I wouldn’t be lying if they searched me because they would never find it. I looked at Dominik, his face was hard and unyielding. It reminded me of when I first came here, the look he gave me when I

Chapter 50I tuned back to the conversation that Dominik was having with his brother Andres. We were in town getting an array of items on the shopping list for Hilda, and it was taking quite a while. We had to go to like five stores and collect a plethora of items from each one. This list was at least triple the size of that list Dominik and I had gotten last time. That's why all three of us went, it was going to be a while. I don’t even know what they were arguing about, but they started punching each other and I just laughed because I was totally confused. These two did not act like they were both millennia or more old Angels. They acted like kids my age, and I got a crack out of it every time I noticed it. How can someone so old, still seem so young? Well, two people at that? It was insane. Once they were done punching each other they called a truce and we entered the next store. Once we got everything we needed it was finally time to be done. We started heading back to the hous

Chapter 49“Amuletum dicimus contradixerit tibi adduc velatos te et domum tuam. Tu nos iubes?” The Witches started chanting. I was impatiently waiting, but nothing seemed to be happening. They continued chanting and a green light appeared above them for a split second and then it was gone. But it sent an energy blast that flung books off the shelves in my library. It also knocked the three Witches back, breaking the circle and stopping the chanting. Katrina looked up at me from the floor. “I’m sorry, Rowen. It didn’t work. The amulet isn’t reachable by magic.” She said. I sighed out loud. “What do we do now?” I asked, eager to get any reply that would bring Ambrosia home. “I-I don’t know… Wait!” Katrina cried. My eyes shot up to Katrina, waiting for her to talk. “Give me something sharp, I need to cut myself.” She said, holding her hand out. I raised an eyebrow at her, but did as she asked and snapped to produce a very sharp but dainty knife, and handed it to her. “Shadows, I summo

Chapter 48(Rowen)The Vampires were of help, they did let us know the location they planned to take Ambrosia, which was different from the warehouse location we had already gotten out of them. We sent our armies to infiltrate both locations and came up empty handed. Ambrosia was not located at either of the locations, but we did manage to take out some more of The Others. Luckily, we were able to get some of the other plans they had stored away as well. Apparently, their operation was a lot bigger and deeper seeded than we expected. They had a lot more plans than just opening Pandora’s Box. These guys were like one of those damn cults on crack. They have locations scattered throughout Rome, and even in the states. It’s insane how deep their seeds go. It had been 12 days, and we hadn’t gotten an inkling as to where Ambrosia could be. I knew she was alive, I could feel her presence anytime I tried to materialize to her, but she was just out of reach. It was the strangest thing. “Br

Chapter 47 I had no idea when I dozed off, but thankfully I didn’t dream at all. I have no idea how long I slept, but when I woke up I was curled up next to Dominik. He had his arms around me and his head was resting on top of my head. We were in the same position we ended the night in with our feet on the footrest. It took me a moment to register where I was and what I was doing before I suddenly realized and moved out of his grasp. I didn’t say anything to him, but he started laughing when he woke up and realized what was going on. “You don’t have to run away, I don’t bite.” He cackled. I just laughed. Ok, so he wasn’t mad. How did we fall asleep like that anyways? At least I got some sleep… That was all I could think of. I could smell breakfast cooking and realized that we were the last ones to be awake. My cheeks turned red when I realized that everyone in the house had to have seen us this morning because they had to pass through the living room to get to the kitchen. No

Chapter 46“Come sit down, child.” The older woman said, motioning at an empty spot on the couch next to the dark haired man. I reluctantly walked over and I could feel his eyes, well, both of theirs, trained straight onto me. I just tried to ignore it. I had no idea what type of creatures they were, but honestly, I was afraid. The second I took my seat an intense feeling of doom settled into my chest and stomach. I was used to feeling fear around supernatural creatures. I was Human, it was normal for me. But this was so much worse, so much more intense. I knew he could tell I was afraid by the way I was acting. I was trying to keep my cool but It was exceedingly difficult. Neither of the angelic men said a word to me at first. They kept their eyes trained on me though, as if I was going to do something crazy. “You’re a pet?” The dark haired one finally said, breaking the awkward silence. My hand went straight to my collar that I just now noticed was still on. They never removed i

Chapter 45Ramses came back soon after letting me know he checked on Katrina and Jade. They were both asleep and he didn’t bother waking them. He would bring them over in the morning. He then proceeded to pace next to me. “Talk to me brother, think out loud. Let’s work on this together.” He said. Ramses was always my closest brother. We just got along so well, and he understood me on a lot of levels, it felt like. Not that my other brothers didn’t, but I was just never as close with them as I was Ramses. I could relate to all of them though. I had my fair share of cool and calculated moments like Raphael, or my unyielding fiery moments like Raziel. I could be a jokester and life of the party like Ramses, or I could be quiet and reserved, hidden in the background, more like myself. The way that I was, was really dependent on the moment. Right now, I was fiery and unyielding on the inside, yet quiet and reserved on the outside. A fitting set of emotions for what I’m going through. Ma

Chapter 44(Ambrosia)I became aware of my surroundings slowly. But when the memories of last night started to come back through my mind, I tried to act like I wasn’t awake yet. I wanted to feel out where I had been taken, before I just announced to the world that I was awake. I kept my eyes shut and just listened, trying to keep my breath as calm and slow as it had been. I wasn’t sure if there were Vampires here, and they would hear my heart beating faster if I started to panic. It felt like I was lying in a bed of some sort. I could feel covers over my torso and I was at a comfortable temperature. So that was a good thing, right? I noted the smell of something cooking. I had no idea what it was. Something I had never smelt before, but it smelled like It would be good if I were to eat it. My stomach grumbled just then and gave away my position. I tried not to panic but I couldn’t help it. My heart rate spiked and a soft voice infiltrated my ears. “Ah, good, you’re awake. I was wo

Chapter 43I threw green fireballs and the first three that were heading my way, knocking them back into the wall behind them. This caused pictures to come crashing down from the wall above them. Glass shattered as they fell and skid across the floor in all directions. I then took one in a green fireball and snapped his neck, tossing his body aside. He wouldn’t actually die unless I decapitated him. He would wake up, but it wouldn’t be for a few hours. The other two were unconscious on the floor so I left them there and proceeded to use magic to pick up my dining table and slam it into the next two Vampire Hybrids that walked through my kitchen door. The act shattered my table, sending wood splinters flying through the air and into the walls. Then I heard chanting in Latin. I turned to see two Vampires raising the dead. “Fucking Necromancer Hybrids?” I snarled to Viper. “What in the fuck are The Others doing?” Viper hissed. “That is a good fucking question.” I huffed as I snapped t
