Chapter 4

Haven led me into our bedroom, and barely let me get inside the door before she slammed it shut and forced herself on me. In any normal situation I would have loved this, but something that the Human sacrifice had said was really sticking in my mind.

‘There is something off about that woman, please be careful around her.’ Her words were circling my mind like a hawk circling his prey. I knew something was off, something was different, I just couldn’t place it. And I couldn’t seem to get away from Haven for long enough to think clearly.

Even right now I was struggling to think clearly. I needed to get out of here, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Every time I had a negative thought about Haven and our relationship it was like she was in my mind changing my thoughts. She can’t do that though, can she?

My thoughts were all over the place and I had no idea how to know what was real and what wasn’t. I couldn’t fight it any longer, whatever was in my mind was too strong. I gave in, and suddenly everything was fine. I picked Haven up and took her over to the bed.

I snapped to remove her clothes except her bra and lace panties, and I just stopped to admire her. Damn, I was a lucky man. Haven seemed to be enjoying herself as I peppered her rockin’ little body with kisses spending extra time getting to her wet folds underneath that lace.

Her whimpers of pleasure as I got closer and closer almost had her to her breaking point already. I ripped the panties from her body with one fluid movement and made my way down, spreading her legs as I went. I softly let my tongue explore her folds, reveling in her moans of ecstasy.

She came quick on my tongue, but I was used to that. I was good at what I did. And now it was my turn. I snapped to remove my pants and yanked her by her hips down the bed to my level. I lifted one of her legs up onto my shoulder and entered her roughly with a couple of swift movements.

I always loved to make a female orgasm before having sex because it was tighter for me that way. Not that Haven needed any tightening. I was rough and unyielding, slamming into her with a deadly force. Her moans of pleasure fueled me, making me go even harder.

“Take it, darlin.” I moaned to Haven. I could tell she was about to come again, and of course she was… She was having sex with Ramses, what else did she expect?

I continued my assault until her moans of pleasure racked through my brain, and I came at the same time forcefully slamming my seed into her delicate body.

I was by no means gentle with sex, the rougher the better. I know not everyone was into that, but they were when they were with me. They were into whatever I said they were into. I could be very persuasive and that’s what makes it so fun.

Once we had both ridden our orgasms out, I hopped off the bed and headed towards the shower. While I was in there, I suddenly started thinking about Katrina. A slight pang of guilt flooded into my chest, but I brushed it off. And then thoughts of getting rid of Haven came flooding through my mind like a broken dam.

It was like the further away she went the easier it was for me to resist whatever pull had me linked to her. But I never could remember it while she was close to me, only when she was away… Which meant she was no longer in my room. But where would she have gone?

I exited the shower and got dressed quickly materializing to the Human sacrifices room. I had a sinking feeling Haven was going to try something out of jealousy, and I couldn’t let anything happen to Ari. I promised Katrina she would be safe until she was to be sacrificed.

As soon as I appeared my suspicions were correct. Haven had Ari against the wall by her throat. I had no idea what she was saying to her. I rushed to Ari’s side and grabbed her out of Haven’s grip. Shaking my head at Haven, I materialized us to the first place I could think of.

We ended up in front of my brother Rowen’s home. The rose gold gate with an eight-pointed star adorning it was glittering in the low lighting before us. It was the first place I could think of in a rush.

“God, Ari, I'm sorry. Are you ok?” I asked. She looked a little shaken up, but she seemed ok. She nodded her head to me. “This is my brother, Rowen’s home. You will be safe from Haven here. I will come get you in the morning to head to the blood exchange.” I explained to her while opening my brother’s gate.

I grabbed Ari by the hand and led her inside the gate. We went through the winding path adorned with plants and trees of all kinds up to my brother's front door. His home was similar to mine.

It was black and rose gold adorned the peaks and pillars outside. The interior was the same color scheme. I knocked on his door and waited for him to open it.

“Brother.” Rowen said. “I didn’t know you were coming?” He questioned. “Well, you know how I love to make an appearance.” I said with a grin.

“But I have a problem.” I huffed. “Come on in man.” Rowen said, and he closed the door behind us. The foyer of Rowen’s home was immaculate with rose gold strewn throughout the walls and flooring. The decor was that of an old mortuary, but the instruments were solid rose gold and all on beautiful display.

Each section of his home was a different theme, but all peppered in rose gold. Us brothers loved our precious metals, that was for sure. We headed inside to the sitting area in the foyer and sat down to talk. “What is it you’ve gotten yourself into this time?” Rowen said with a laugh.

“Well contrary to popular belief, I am having girl problems.” I said to Rowen and the look on his face told all. He couldn’t even hold in his laughter which I didn’t think was too funny considering my current situation.

“Look, I have an insane girlfriend at home. She just tried to kill this here Human sacrifice for the Witches ritual tomorrow. I am in charge of Ari, and cannot let her be killed prematurely… Which is why we are here.” I stammered.

This was of extreme importance for me to keep my word to Katrina. I wouldn’t let her down. “Do you mind if Ari stays the night here with you, and I will be here to retrieve her in the morning before the blood exchange?” I asked. Rowen looked between myself and Ari.

“Human sacrifice, huh?” He said while never turning his gaze from her eyes. “Yes.” She said back proudly. “I see. Well of course she can stay here.” Rowen said, while still eyeballing her curiously.

“Thank you, brother.” I replied. Rowen snapped and a tall, slender, dark-haired, dark-skinned woman in a very revealing maids outfit came sauntering into the foyer. “Yes, master.” She purred. Her voice was like doves singing, and she was beautiful.

“Take Ari to my bedroom.” He shot. “Yes sir.” She said and held her hand out to Ari. “To your bedroom, huh?” I snickered. I saw something devious flash through my brother’s rose gold eyes. “Trust me, she will be well taken care of.” He cackled.

I nodded to Ari. She stood and took the maid’s hand. I watched as they headed towards the spiral staircase just around the corner from the foyer.

“Thank you, I will be back in the morning. Make sure she is in one piece… This will be her last night Human. I have to take care of Haven.” I replied. “Haven?” Rowen replied. “What are you doing messing with that crazy bitch?” He asked. “What do you mean? She’s my girlfriend.” I replied.

Rowen seemed taken back when I said that. “Have you forgotten everything she’s done?” Rowen spewed.

I was about to ask just what my brother meant, but before I could even form the words I had a shooting pain sear through the side of my head. I fell to my knees and grabbed my temples. “Fuck, ughhh.” I snarled. “Ramses? What the fuck is happening?!” Rowen cried, running to my side.

“I don’t know, brother. It’s been happening a bit lately… But I'm fine. I have to get back. I’ll see you tomorrow.” I said, while getting to my feet. I materialized back home before he could say another word. As soon as I stepped foot in my home my head felt fine and I forgot that it even hurt to begin with.

Then I got to thinking about what he said. What did he mean, everything she's done? I mean I guess she did just try to kill the Human sacrifice. And she somehow talked me into going steady with her, which was proving to be a lot more difficult than it seemed.

But she hadn’t done anything else, so I had no idea what he was referring to. Secretly, I wanted to stay and hear what he was going to say but I didn’t want to leave her waiting much longer. I knew she was going to be pissed already.

I let it go as I stepped inside my room to find Haven waiting. I had everything I was going to say all planned out in my mind, but as soon as I saw her, it was like all my thoughts, plans and worries had vanished.

Instead of arguing about what she had done to Ari, or just tried to do, we ended up just heading to bed together. Everything that had previously happened was no longer a concern to me, and I felt like nothing was even wrong.

I fell asleep content with my life and wondering just how I got so lucky. I kissed Haven on the top of her head and fell asleep holding her in my arms.

The Hybrids had bad tempers and they always knew how to press my buttons. I’m not one to keep to myself and so there is always conflict. But I promised Katrina, and this was my due diligence. I had to prepare Ari, and deliver her safe from hard to the sacrifice tonight. I had been doing this for years, I wasn’t about to mess things up now. Once Haven and myself were up and going we headed to Rowen’s home to grab Ari. I knocked on my brother's front door and the maid from last night opened it shortly. She was eyeballing me in a manner that Haven didn’t like. “Keep your wandering eyes to yourself, kitty.” Haven snarled at the maid who purposefully looked straight at her and winked, which I thought was hilarious. Then she turned and motioned for us to follow her. She was dusting the shelves and objects on the walls as we walked to the foyer wh

Then they helped the Elder up as well. His part was now done. The blood exchange was complete. When Ari locked eyes with me I could see the change already happening. Contrary to popular belief, a Wolf can change regardless of the full moon. This was our next step. She would be hearing her Wolf spirit soon, and my next job was to get her to shift. She had to shift for her first time before the ceremony tonight or the ritual would have been for nothing. The Elders motioned for her to start walking towards the door where I was standing. She ran straight into my arms and I could feel her shaking. She could feel the power of the Wolf spirit manifesting, and it was manifesting with a vengeance. This is the part where I coach her into accepting her Wolf spirit and letting her inside… And then the part

Like I told your Wolf, I needed to scare you into shifting early. If I hadn’t you wouldn't have come back after the ritual.” I explained. I could see her expression change as she started to calm down. I snapped and produced her a new ritual dress since she shifted and ruined the old one. But the old one was only for the blood exchange anyways. The dress for tonight was identical to the one she previously had on, but it was black with crystals. I handed it to her, and then stood and turned my back so she could change. “You really scared me, you know. I honestly thought you were going to kill me, Ramses.” Ari stammered. “I know, darlin. It was the only way, I’m sorry.” I said, my back still towards her while she changed. She walked up and grabbed my hand and turned me towards her. To my surprise

It’s a little brutal to watch, but that's the ritual. This time it was Katrina’s turn. It was nothing she hadn’t done multiple times over the years, and nothing I hadn’t seen her do. Everything started out normal. Katrina stood and walked to the altar, picked up the ritual knife and headed over towards Ari. When she got to Ari she looked up and we locked eyes. I could see something sparkling in her gaze, something devious. That was strange... I watched as she snapped, which was unusual, then I noticed two of my men approach the altar with Haven bound and restricted in their arms. She was screaming through her gag, or at least trying to. They threw her down at Katrinas feet, bowed to Katrina, then turned around and walked away. What the fuck was she doing? I thought. But I knew better than to interrupt her.She ignored

Katrina buried her face in my chest. I knew she didn’t want to face her sisters. They both just stood there waiting for her to say something while I tried to console her. After a moment, she pulled herself out of my arms and faced them both. “Look, I know what I did was wrong… But it was for a damn good reason.” Katrina stammered. “Oh yea? And what could be a good enough reason for you to risk your magic??” Kember shot back. Katrina looked at me and I nodded to her. She looked back at her sisters and took a breath in. “Haven was a Forsaken. She had been messing with Ramses’ memories, and those of a couple of his brothers. Chapter 10I materialized all three of us to my house. We set Haven in one of the guest rooms and left the dagger in her chest while we decided just how to go about this. When Haven comes back as a Human, she was going to be pissed. She would have no powers. She would start to age and have to learn to live her life as a Human. I didn’t even feel one bit bad for her either, especially after knowing all of the shit she stirred up. A Human life would be fitting for her. I decided we should go talk to my brother Raziel first before we did anything. That way we could see if the Human town along the edge of the Wolf pack bordering his lands would even be a good fit for Haven to begin with. Katrina agreed, so we materialized to my brother's front gate. Katrina gasped as she took in the sight of Raziel’s home. It was similar to mine. So similar, that you could definitely tell we were brothers. “It’s majestic, isn’t it?” I said to Katrina. “You guys are definitely related.” She replied. “Oh

I was trying so hard not to react to him, but he must have noticed. “Is my proximity affecting you, little Witch?” Raziel asked. “Um, no.” I stammered but his pet name made my heart flutter. He then stepped closer to me, we were only inches apart now. I was bombarded by the smell of his cologne, and it was heavenly to my nose. My hormones were going absolutely wild, and I fought back the urge to reach out and touch him. “How about now?” He purred. A furious blush spread across my cheeks, my thoughts were all over the place. I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat, and attempted to take a step back, but it was as if Raziel anticipated my next move, because he reached out and placed his hand on the small of my back, stopping me from moving. I gasped involuntarily at his touch, to which his face remained emotionless but his eyes showed approval. He liked the game. This was something he enjoyed and a

Haven seemed like she was trying to fight the marks pull but couldn’t. She acted like his words didn;t even phase her, and he pulled her into his arms. She tried to kiss him but he turned his head from her so she kissed his cheek instead. My jaw dropped, what a perfectly terrible punishment… She would, for the rest of her life, be chasing someone who she would never have. Raziel looked up and we locked eyes. I smiled at him and nodded my head. He remained emotionless, but I could tell by his eyes that he was happy to see my approval. “If you’ll excuse us.” Raziel said. I thought it was better to let her be, so I just turned around and kept working.” I said. “Oh, yea… Well, she was just having a hard time with Rowen leaving soon. Rowen was just smiling, drinking rose gold brandy. “I need something from you though, brother.” Ramses said. “Oh? And what would that be?” Rowen said. Multiple times on this floor I had women run up to me and try to pull me into their areas to help with whatever it was they were doing at the time. I had to politely decline and keep on track. It could be so distracting in here, I didn’t see how Ramses got anything accomplished with all these women trying to stop him all the time. I could go into his mind and possibly help find the damaged parts and fix them.” I said, sitting up out of bed and straddling Rowen so he had to listen to me and couldn’t get away. We had never done anything like this before, and so we honestly had no idea what to expect. I was extremely grateful for Rowen. He stayed with me this entire time, never leaving me alone. I knew he didn’t want to stay, he wanted to cut ties with me the night Ramses went into his coma. But once he didn’t wake up, Rowen couldn’t bear to leave me alone. I don’t think I could ever repay him, honestly. The week was spent mostly stressing about Ramses and how to help him heal.
