Chapter 1

                  

The world is mysterious. Humans are thinking that they're the only ones living on this earth but little did they know, different creatures are wandering at night. Creatures like me, the one who sucks blood and waits for my prey in the dark. They say that vampires are real and are found in New Orleans. Vampires have been featured in folklore for hundreds of years, predominantly in Europe. But the truth is, vampires are all around the world, waiting for the right moment to attack. 

"This small island is far from the city, they won't know if someone is missing." 

My forehead creased. I sometimes wonder if Dusk was a fairy, she's stupid at times.

"It's a small town, it means they will know if someone is missing," I answered coldly. 

She stopped when she realized my words in her little brain. She smiled at me with an apologetic smile.

"One last virgin soul and I can finally turn into a human, maybe one missing person won't hurt." 

She followed me while we continue walking in the dark alley. Her luminous light was enough for me to walk in this darkness. 

"Are you sure that you want to become a human?" 

Right, what's great about being a human if I can live a hundred years without being ill? Immortality is not that nice at all, living a hundred years is boring. I want to become a human to experience things that only humans can experience. I stopped walking when I smelled blood but it was not just normal blood. It smells good and it's addicting. 

I gulped.

This is the first time that it happens, I have never smelled blood like this. The aroma was inviting me, what is that? It's sweet and intoxicating.

"What's wrong, Diamond?" 

Using my ability, I can sense that someone is coming. I wonder who it is, the one with a great smell of blood. I want to drink it, I badly want it. I grin when I see the light coming from the motorcycle he's riding. 

My prey is coming.

"H-Hey! What are you doing in the middle of the road?" 

"Diamond, what are you doing!" Dust shouted at me too but I'm too curious. I raised my hand when the motorcycle was about to hit me and it stopped in the air.

It's a man…

I saw his eyes widen in fear. I walked forward and smiled at him.

"Are you still a virgin?" As soon as I said that, everything came back to normal. The motorcycle and the boy hit the ground. 

"W-what are you?" He screamed like a woman. 

I chuckled and smelled his neck. I can smell his fear and I can also hear his heart beating too fast. Tsk, is he a man or a woman?

"I'm Diamond and I'm a vampire," his eyes are filled with shock, and then the next thing I knew, he passed out.

"Oh my! You made the man pass out, Diamond!" 

"This man will be the last soul that I need to become a human, let's go to his house." 

"Ahhhhhhhh!" 

I just stared at the man who was screaming as soon as he woke up. He touched his whole body, probably checking if he was still alive.

A sigh of relief.

"A-a dream, right? It's just a dream, vampires don't exist, Crimson." He talked to himself like it happens every day.

"So, your name is Crimson?" And just like that, I watched his eyes widen in fear again and when he was about to pass out, I held his neck. "Don't you dare," 

"D-don't kill me! I beg you!" He whispered.

I smiled.

"I won't kill you, on one condition." 

"H-huh?" He asked despite his fear. "I don't have money!"

Tsk, who needs money? One glance and I can say that he's poor.

"You human," I pointed my finger at him. "Will be my slave, I will be your master." 

Kunot ang noo nito at saka lumayo sa akin. Nagsumiksik ito sa gilid ng kwarto n'ya habang kinuha ang walis at tinutok sa akin.

"H-hindi ako naniniwala sayo! Scammer ka no?" He bravely asked. "Ha, nagkalat na ngayon ang manloloko. Tama, hindi ako dapat matakot sayo."

I rolled my eyes, he still has some guts after fainting from fear, huh?

"Do you want proof?" Naglakad ako malapit dito.

"W-wag ka lalapit! H-hindi talaga ako natatakot sayo," his voice trembled.

I laughed. 

This human is interesting. First, his blood was different from others and then, he acts stupid. 

"Right, you're not scared. Not at all," 

"Talaga! T-tatawag akong pulis, mga kapitbahay, tulong-"

He didn't finish his sentence when I used my power to teleport in front of him. 

I glare at him.

"If you don't stop, I'll make sure to drink all the blood in your body," I warned.

"Y-you're e-eyes, it's red!" 

"I swear to God if you faint again-"

Damn it! 

He f*cking fainted again for the second time around. 

"He looks traumatized," Dust shows up and stares at the man on the floor. 

I never run out of patience like this, I swear I'll kill this man when the time comes. 

"Go and take him to his bed, it looks like he's already in Dreamland." 

Lumabas ako para tingnan ang kabuuan ng bahay. Thanks to Dust's power, we arrive at his house without anyone noticing. It's a good thing that he's alone in this small house. He has neighbors but his house is far from others, nasa dulo ito at malapit sa dagat. I can say that this place was peaceful and quiet. 

"Are you sure by making him your slave? He looks weak," 

Looks can be deceiving, that's what I've learned from humans. Don't judge them because they have a lot of masks. That man, I can sense that something is odd to him. He has special blood. I wonder who he is or what he is. 

"I want him," 

And what I want, I can get. That man, Crimson, will be mine.

"Don't look at me like that, human." 

"A-are you really a vampire?" He asked.

I looked at him coldly.

"Don't ask me to show you my fangs, you might faint again, weakling."

He looks offended by what I said.

"I-i'm not weak, judgemental vampire." 

J-judgemental vampire?

"What did you just say?" 

Lumunok ito at alanganing ngumiti.

"B-bakit ka ba nandito? A-anong kailangan mo sa'kin?" 

"You, are you still a virgin?" I want to ask even though I already know the answer.

Nanlaki ang mata nito at kalaunan ay nag-isip. 

"Y-you want to sleep with me?" Ani nito. "Do you want my hot body?"

Natigilan ako sa tanong nito. My world seems to stop, this wench!

"What!" I shouted.

Kinamot nito ang ulo.

"Y-you're asking me if I'm still a virgin," namumula na ani nito.

"Stupid weakling! I don't want your body but your blood!" 

"But why are you shouting? We don't even know each other!" He also shouted at me.

The audacity of this jerk!

"You're shouting at me? Do you have a death wish?" 

He bit his lip and bows his head.

"S-sorry, wag mo ko kagatin, please! B-bibigay ko sayo lahat, wag lang katawan ko, no."

I sighed.

This man will be the death of me.

"If you accept the first thing I offer, I might change my mind and won't drink your blood. If you decline, I will drink your blood, right here, right now." 

"I-i still want to live!" 

Isang ngiti ang sumilay sa labi ko.

"Slave it is, from now on. You Crimson will be Diamond Nyx Baudelaire's slave." I whispered. "We must seal the deal," 

His eyes widened again when my lips touched his.

"And he fainted again," I shook my head when Dust started to take him to his bed… again.
