Jeremy grabbed my hand as he paved the way in the woods to a place unknown. I also held tightly to his grasp not to be entwined in the thick shrubs of the wood.
Immediately Jeremy took me out of the prison, Rico ordered his men to chase after us, and they all came after us like a swarm of bees. Jeremy suggested we hide beneath a cave till the night before we priqued out of Rico's pack.
It was late at night, everywhere was dark except for the fireflies that shone in the air, and the screeching whistles of birds in the surroundings. I don't know why I was a bit bemused over my decision to sneak out of the pack with Jeremy. Our father must be worried about us.
" Aren't you sleeping, Randelle?" Jeremy snapped up, moving an inch closer to me. He had slumbered, but my eyes weren't shut for a split second.
I sighed, wrapping my arms around my legs. " I don't have the urge to sleep, Jeremy,".
Jeremy, noticing the unease that smeared on my face, hung his arm over my shoulder. I turned to him, our eyes locking. Despite the dim night, I was able to notice his emerald eyes.
" We need to leave the Dark wand pack. We need to escape the sovereign of Rico," Jeremy spoke.
I sighed and nodded slightly over his reason. However, Jeremy didn't know how tragic our lives ended in our past life. I knew. I remembered everything. Rico and Eva were devious- more reasons why we can't stay under the sovereignty of Rico. And I think the best way to go about it was to run away from the pack if I must avoid the astringent mistake I made in my past life.
" I know, Jeremy. We have to run away from Rico," I responded with a cool voice.
Jeremy stood up and grabbed my hand. He walked me out of the cave, and we sneaked out of the Dark wand pack successfully. We sneaked out of the place on foot not to call the awareness of Rico's guards who might be hidden surreptitiously in the woods. But since we exited the patrol border of the pack, we shifted into our wolves and ponied out.
Jeremy led while I followed. After some hours, we arrived in an enclosed wood. We shifted back into our human form, sniffing around the air. But due to my inner ability, I could be able to sniff the air and interpret it.
" Where are we, Randelle?" Jeremy muttered, sniffing around.
I froze in my place and fixed my gaze in the direction of the intense scent. My eyes beheld a brown wolf behind the wood. " We are in a pack, Jeremy. And the pack members have encircled us,".
" We aren't here to hurt anyone. We are here to hide our heads in your pack for tonight," Jeremy screamed at the top of his voice, as he delivered his speech.
As he spoke, hundreds of werewolves who I guessed to be rogues shifted back into their human form and approached us, examining us with close brows. " Where are you guys heading to by this time of the night?" One of them asked.
" We are mates and lovers. We were sent out of our pack," Jeremy responded.
They chuckled, and then it grew into a burst of intense laughter. " Well, you are in the right place. All of us here are rogues. We gathered here to fend for ourselves, and protect ourselves,"
I turned my head at Jeremy and nodded slightly. I don't know why I felt captured by the rogue's statement. I was more than pleased to stay here. A subtle gesture from Jeremy also supported us staying in the rogues pack.
" You're welcome to the Freeway pack," One of them welcomed and motioned us into a house, the other pack members cheering at us.

The next day.
I and Jeremy were in the field, training in our wolf form when the pack members gathered around us, awe-inspired by our remarkable skills and stunts. In our former pack, I and Jeremy always have pieces of training in a secluded place to hide our skills from other pack members. But here, we were free to flaunt our skills. One of the pack members moved to us. His name was Kyle. He was the eldest in the pack, and also, the first in the pack.
As we saw Kyle approaching, we shifted back into our human form. " Good morning. Are you guys warriors?" Kyle asked, examining us sternly.
" No, we are just Omegas in our pack," Jeremy responded, smile on his face.
" Unbelievable! I have never seen such quality skills in my entire life," Kyle revealed, his eyes brightening.
I smiled and moved to Jeremy. Jeremy hung his arm over my shoulder. Kyle fixed his gaze on me. I bent my head sideways, wondering why he was looking so much into me. " She possesses all the signs of the pureblood wolf, an Alpha, and a warrior,".
My heart palpitated as Kyle landed, and my eyes were now staring down as a shiver ran down my spine.
" No, this is Randelle, a six-foot-tall girl, who has a beautiful smile, and seducing lips. These are all I know about her. Not as a pureblood wolf," Jeremy spoke, smiling at me. I smiled back at him.
How was Kyle able to decipher my hidden identity? I felt like a betrayal for hiding it from Jeremy.
As we landed, Jeremy motioned me to a secluded part of the field while the other pack members started their pack run and pieces of training.
" At last we are free, Jeremy," I spoke, resting my head on his shoulder.
" Yes, we can now train freely, and also, I'd be able to protect you, Randelle as the pureblood," Jeremy revealed, not sparing me a gaze. My jaw dropped, and I lifted my head off his shoulder.
" How do you know I'm a pureblood, Jeremy?" I asked, my eyebrows dilating in surprise.
" I've always known this since our past life," Jeremy revealed more shocking and unbelievable findings about me.
Heck!! Jeremy remembered about our past life?
Does it mean he has been hiding it from me since all these years?
" I remember everything, Randelle. I remember I wasn't loved by my mate. I remember the silver bullet that pierced through my brain. I remember everything," Jeremy spoke, not sparing me a gaze. His voice was thick, seething a nostalgic emotion. I sighed, perplexed by the unfolded reality. " Why have you hidden this from me all these years?" Jeremy turned to me, a subtle smile smeared on his face. " You know, Randelle," He sighed, and continued, " life is a choice. I was trying to avoid the mistake I made in my past life. I needed to let you decide who you love, and thus, It was my pleasure seeing you rejecting Rico at the aisle,". A surge of guilt brewed in my veins as Jeremy spoke. He was right. I made the wrong choice in my past life and rejected him as my mate. I never gave him the chance for love. However, the mistake I made would never repeat itself. In this life, I'd give Jeremy the love he deserved in ten folds. And, however, I had promised to take brutal revenge on Rico and
As soon as the pack members saw the duo who were about to delve into combat, they encircled them and watched as they prepared to fight. I was also among the crowds, looking forward to the match. The muscular guy was the first to shift into his wolf. He lunged against Jeremy with its dangerous limbs. Jeremy, studying its moves, rooted on his spot and calculated his precision. He landed a blow at the Wolf's neck, and the wolf flew to the other side of the field, gliding on the green grass. " Wow! I've never seen a werewolf fight in his human form defeat a shifted werewolf," The pack members were surprised by Jeremy's Martial skills. Jeremy stood on his spot, making some skillful acrobatics as he awaited the weak wolf on the floor. After some minutes of waiting for the wolf to stand up, it shifted back to the muscular guy, who was now grunting incessantly on the floor. The muscular guy lifted his head, blood dripping out of his torn flesh on the green grass. His eyes went white and he
Jeremy's POV. " He's the Alpha of the Dark wand pack. He's so wicked and dangerous," I spoke, my eyes bloodshot. Kyle clenched his fist and grunted in pain. In my past life, before my head was blown off, I had once caught Rico talking about underground pathways with some high-rank pack members, and werewolves, which they used to abduct werewolves and vulnerable humans. I heard it. I confirmed it, but I kept it inside of me because I was so scared to reveal it. I knew if I revealed it I'd be killed- if not by Rico, then it'd be by the higher rank werewolves. Well, I never knew it was all the same. But in this life, I was ready to expose the evil works of Alpha Rico and make sure he reaped from where he sow. Also, before we ran away from the pack, I overheard Rico planning to trade werewolves. I treacherously left Randelle here with Kyle so that I could trace them, and luckily for me, I found the underground pathway where Rico kept abducted werewolves. Kyle moved closer to me and res
Rico's POV." My Alpha, we've searched everywhere for her including the neighboring packs but she's nowhere to be found," My senior guard delivered on his knees. " What? She's nowhere to be found? How many eternities do you need to look for a skinny girl, huh?" I questioned, his body quivering at the pronunciation of my words. " My Alpha...," he was about to say a word when I shut him up. " Keep quiet, cocktail. I'm not interested in anything you have to say other than bringing Randelle back to my pack alive and that idiot, Jeremy, dead or alive. And if I noticed you're not capable of looking for her, I'd personally add you to my slaves,". With this, he nodded and quivered out of my presence. " Don't get upset over minor issues, Rico. Don't let this stop our fun," Eva spoke, shoving another bottle of beer into my hand. Eva had shoved about three bottles of beer into my hand tonight. I was a bit tipsy, but I wouldn't stop drinking. She thought I was drinking for fun. But, No. I was
Randelle's POV. Kyle walked up to where I and Jeremy were seated. He took a seat opposite us, and exhaled, glaring at us pitifully. " I'm sorry for all that happened, Jeremy,". With just a nod, Jeremy responded and looked away. " It's fine, Kyle. We just need to be prepared the next time," I said and continued applying herb to Jeremy's wound. Yesterday seemed to be a very brutal day for Jeremy and the pack members. They all came back wounded. However, Jeremy seemed to be the only one who sustained enough injury. He had a bruise on his left arm and a fracture on his right leg. I tried all I could to heal Jeremy with my pureblood powers, but my wolf seemed to be numbed as she felt little of Jeremy's pain too. We were on the field where those who sustained injury too were being treated by the pack technicians. However, I wasn't bothered about whatever happened last night as I had believed we'd train more, and attack the underground space again. Alpha Rico's pack must become history!!
Jeremy walked up to me with broken tears on his face, and lifted me, pulling me tightly to his embrace. Douglas walked up to us and pushed us furiously, and Jeremy struggled to regain our stand." You're the traitors responsible for Kyle's death. We should have sent you out of the pack," Douglas yelled at us. The other pack members also supported as they murmured intensively among each other." What do you mean, Douglas? " I asked and took a step closer to his face. Jeremy was sad about Kyle's death. He rooted in his spot, and buried his face on the ground, oblivion to Douglas's word.Kyle had been a very good person ever since we arrived at this pack. He was nicer to us, most especially, Jeremy. Jeremy felt sad for not being able to protect him." Yes, Randelle. When was the last time we were attacked? It's been fucking three years. But when you came, we were attacked in less than two days," Douglas yelled.I knew how painful Douglas was right now, but that still didn't mean that we w
Jeremy shifted closer to me and whispered to my ears. " Let him be the pack leader, Randelle. Let's leave here, and start our lives,"." No, Jeremy. We need to fight for Kyle's death. It'd be a slap on our face if all his members were later ruined by Rico. You know Douglas doesn't have what it takes to protect the pack," I whispered back to him and caressed his cheek.Jeremy nodded slightly and shifted backward. I raised my voice, and asked." If you want Douglas to be your new leader, step here," I pointed to the left, and just a few members went there. " If you want Jeremy to be your new leader, step here," I said and pointed to the right. Almost all the pack members moved to the right.Douglas yelled and squeezed his face. " Bunch of ingrates!"I walked up to Jeremy and lifted his hand. " Here is your new leader,". As I landed, the whole pack members screamed and clapped their hands. It was crystal clear that they loved Jeremy to become their new leader. However, Jeremy wasn't happy.
I rested my head on Jeremy's shoulder and felt so sad. Not that Douglas's presence was needed. I just felt bad because he left us. Jeremy patted my shoulder and reassured me of victory right before every pack member. " Here is a place of choice. Is there anyone of you who chooses to follow Douglas? Let him follow him," Jeremy said, and the whole field became quiet as though a deceased was mourning. They all bowed their head down as if they were looking at their shoes. Only a few members raised their hands, and they were permitted to leave. And just like Douglas, they shifted into their wolf and ran out of our presence. However, though, we still had a higher number of pack members who had chosen to remain in the pack and avenge the death of Kyle, their hero. " Now that you all have chosen to stay, let's work together and put an end to the abductors," Jeremy screamed to the sky, and the pack members responded too with a loud shout, and the training continued. I wedged in between a ch
My heart blazed over Damien's words. The more I was trying to process the reality of his words, the more shattered I became. " Are you serious with what you just said, Damien? And how sure are you?"Damien smiled, rubbing his temples. " Look here, Randelle. I'd not lie to you. If Jeremy truly wants you to rule him he should have given you the scroll, and let you learn from it,".I flanked my eyebrows as he landed. How come Damien knew I was asking for the scroll from Jeremy? Was he eavesdropping on our conversation?" Yes, Randelle. I overheard you and Jeremy arguing about the scroll. There's nothing to argue about if truly he wants you to take the lead as the pureblood. The reason he tabled was dumb. When do you know your abilities would be activated naturally? Is it until Rico kills everyone?" Damien chipped in with urgency in his voice.I exhaled sharply and was lost in my thoughts over his point of view. However, I didn't see it that way. I felt Jeremy was overprotective, and that
I sat down alone on the bed and crossed my arms as I was lost in my thoughts. I never knew Rico had planned to fight us with the witch. Nonetheless, what disheveled me was the fact that I couldn't even make use of my strength as the pureblood. I felt useless.Soon, Blade, and Jeremy walked up to me with mixed reactions on their faces. They came and sat down closer to me." Why are you sad, Randelle?" Jeremy asked, patting my shoulder gently." That's a stupid question, Jeremy. Randelle is the fucking pureblood, and she couldn't even stop that mother fucker witch," Blade raised his voice at Jeremy." She tried her best, Blade. You shouldn't put all the blame on her for our failure," Jeremy fired back at Blade." No, Jeremy. Blade is right. I was useless during the fight. I couldn't even make use of my power to defeat that witch. I felt so disappointed in myself," I turned to Jeremy and said, my eyes blaring with rage and regret." No, Randelle. You're not useless," Jeremy reassured me
Randelle The rays of dawn streamed through the curtains, bathing our entwined bodies in a warm golden glow. I nestled against the solid strength of Jeremy's chest, his arms wrapped securely around me as we lingered in those blissful moments before waking. "I wish we could stay like this forever," I murmured, tilting my face up to meet his sleepy grin. The depth of emotion shining in his eyes made my heart swell."There's nowhere I'd rather be than right here with you, my love," Jeremy replied, his voice still husky with sleep. He brushed his fingers through my tangled hair before capturing my lips in a long, slow kiss."Ahh, slow down wolf." I moan biting his lips."Can't...if it's you." He groans and capture my lips again making me giggle. All too soon, the responsibilities of the day could be ignored no longer. With great reluctance, I untangled myself from Jeremy's embrace and prepared to leave for my training. His brows drew together, forehead creasing ever so slightly in that
Randelle "Show yourself. even birds grow weary flitting about so." I exclaimed. An awkward throat cleared before Timothy's bulky frame materialized from the bushes."Timothy?"What's the hell is he doing here? Is he following me now?He looked more abashed cub than formidable warrior, and drunked twigs jutting from his ink black mane. I crossed my arms, cocking one brow in silent inquiry."Er sorry to disturb you, Chosen One. I returned from patrol early and hoped to observe Elder Keiran's lesson then saw you come this way." He scuffed one boot, not quite meeting my eyes. "Didn't mean to lurk like some creeping scout." He laughed wrly.I weighed his words before answering neutrally. "It's nothing, no harm done. But the training grounds is that way." I shrugged my sore shoulders. "Keiran focuses within there."Timothy finally lifted his tawny gaze, conviction burning there. "Oh I know I was following you. Of course. I was amazed by your dedication and how it has great impact on the y
RandelleI woke to pale dawn light filtering through the curtained window. Beside me Jeremy slept on, the steady rise and fall of his chest reassuringly familiar. I took a moment to trace the beloved planes of his bearded face, relaxed in repose, before easing from the quilted nest of furs. After washing and braiding back my hair, I moved quietly to the kitchen to start water boiling. The simple domestic tasks soothed my churning thoughts. Soon rich coffee aroma filled the small cabin, mingling with sounds of Jeremy stirring in the next room.I savored the peace of breaking fast with my mate as the rising sun lent its golden glow. We lingered over emptied plates, speaking little but communicating much through tangled fingers and lingering glances. All too soon duty's call could be ignored no longer. With a sigh I stood, gathering up my training gear. Jeremy's fingers caught my wrist, halting my motions."You seem uneasy this morn, my heart." His hazel eyes searched my face. "Is the
Randelle"It's a new day."I smiled as I sat on top a mossy boulder breathing deep the wet evergreen scents wreathing the dawn-kissed glen. The birdsong and the melodic rush of the swollen creek gradually eased tight muscles in my back, the morning's tranquility balm to battle-rattled senses. The threat of Rivero's marauders had passed like an angry storm front, though his final venomous words still haunted...was our victory merely the eye of a more destructive tempest ahead?Soft footfalls rustled behind me. I turned with a smile to greet Jeremy's approach, taking in the pensive cast to his bearded features. My mate hoisted himself lightly beside me, the boulder barely shifting beneath his bulk. For a time we simply soaked in harmonious surroundings, the press of our shoulders and synchronized breathing enough. But chilling memories would not release their grip so easily.Jeremy sighed heavily, his brooding gaze miles away. "Can't say I much fancy the notion of Rico and his jackal
Jeremy I hurtled into the chaotic melee with a roar, claws cleaving the air around me. All was reduced to flashes of violence, the shriek of metal and screams of dying men. I waded relentlessly into the press, rallying my scattered forces by sheer ferocity. "To me, Freeway! Form up, you Son of a b**tch!" I bellowed, spinning and slashing in a deadly arc to buy precious space. Keiran appeared at my shoulder, golden eyes alight with battle fury despite blood slicking half his face. We traded a single nod before turning our steel upon the roiling enemy ranks. For endless minutes we battled bitterly back to back, carving openings for dazed packmates to surge behind our whirling point defense. I marked brothers and sisters falling with gutting finality, their lives the brutal coin purchased our thin perimeter. Gradually our numbers coalesced into a coherent line, bows twanging sporadically from the fringes to pick off overeager Rogues. But still we yielded ground before the ravening ho
RandelleWe met Keiran and the others fighting back Rivero and his mean pack. Keiran's face was tired but fierce. "We won't let them pass!" he yelled. His fur was red from blood.Jeremy pointed his axe. "Freeway pack stay strong!" he bellowed. "We push together!"Everyone roared loud. Their smells were mad and scared but their eyes burned brave. Rivero laughed cold. He was big with black fur and dead eyes. "My wolves will feast well tonight," he sneered. Jeremy jumped at Rivero. Their claws crashed hard. The sound hurt my ears. Rivero kicked Jeremy back. Then his wolves attacked Keiran's team. I launch at a grey wolf. He fell but more came. Their hot breath steamed the air. Their claws and fur were red with blood. My friends were tired from the long fight."Smart Randelle, you lead some wolves around back," Jeremy panted. I gathered Agnus, Kyra, Lana. We snuck behind mean Rivero's pack quiet as foxes. We burst from the bushes yelling. The Rogues turned in surprise. Now my pac
RandelleI woke up to the scent of frying meat and eggs, my stomach rumbling. Beside me, Jeremy stirred, his warmth against my back receding. I rolled over to see him sitting on the edge of the bed, hair tousled, blinking the sleep from his eyes.“Mornin’ beautiful,” he rumbled, lips curving in a lazy grin, Jeremy here? Who's cooking then. “Jake must be fixin’ breakfast.” Jeremy as spoke as if he read my mind."What a nice brother he is." A smile spreading on my face in answer as I sat up, the cozy quilts pooling around my waist. Dawn’s rosy light filtered between the curtains, gilding Jeremy’s rugged profile where he sat scruffing one hand through his dark mane of hair.I stifled a jaw-cracking yawn behind one slim hand, inhaling the aromatic scents wafting from our little kitchen. My mate chuckled knowingly.“C’mon then, before it gets cold.” He stood and stretched, joints popping audibly, before grabbing a discarded shirt off the floor. I averted my gaze from his muscular torso w
