Frozen

It seemed like time came to a stop and everything was frozen. The sound of the gunshot that ripped through the air put a stop to the blood feud the two wolves were about to have.

Connor turned his back to know the identity of whoever released the gunshot and was surprised to see Mirabel standing at the door and holding a black pistol in her hands.

Connor's forehead furrowed as he stared hard at the gun which Mirabel was pointing directly at him.

"Is she going to pull the trigger? Why would she want to kill me? Is she not in her right frame of mind?" Connor thought within himself, his eyes glued to Mirabel's eyes to know her next move.

Mirabel took her eyes away and pointed the gun at Liliana instead.

She was surprised to see that Liliana however looked unfazed with the gun pointing straight at her. She knew Mirabel so well that she could pull the trigger and end her but Liliana did not appear shaken one bit.
