Eoin. I pulled myself from the sea water and shook off the excess water as I waited for the others. Arthur was next shifting from his siren form back to his everyday form to wade out of the water. Ben, James, Chance, Ash, Sage, Marcus, and my sister Rori all appeared in two row boats tugged in by Sirens. Once everyone was on the beach, we did a quick recon of what was ahead. There was a fortress like a mediterrian style huge villa with high walls surrounding it and steep cliffs on three sides that fell into the deep ocean. It was clear there were gaurds stationed on the walls and at all points of entry. We were out numbered, so Arthur called some of the Siren warriors he had with us to go ahead and take out some of the gaurds. Kayda As soon as Eoin spotted me and we locked eyes, I knew he was momentarily distraced as I called out to warn him of Drakos' rapidly changing features and his growth in stature. He roared at Eoin, who had now swiftly shifted to Jagger in a cloud of shredded clothing. "No one takes the dragon's treaures." he boomed, sending a chill down my spine as I knew Eoin didn't know that to Drakos I was a piece of his treaure. Jagger snarled. "I don't want your damn treasure. I want my mate." he declared, not knowing they were one in the same. "She's mine." The dragon roared as he whipped his huge tail around and smashing up everything in the corridor he buried my mate in a huge pile of crumbling stone and plaster as I screamed. I saw Ben, Ash, Arthur, and someone I didn't recognise all rush to the pile of rubble shifting rocks and bricks from where Jagger's wolf had been seconds earlier. When Ben and James finally dragged me in my wolf form from the rubble, I barely had time to check myself over fully when Rori came scrambling over the mountains of rock, plaster, and brick "We have to distract the damn Dragon." She ordered, but I made a move in the direction she was running from where I had last seen my mate. "Jagger." She called, and I paused. "Trust me, Kayda has an ankle shackle on its magical, and Drakos is using some spell right now to hurt her. Sage is working on it, but he is counteracting it, we have to stop him and distract him long enough for Sage to remove it." Rori explained pleadingly and frantically as I centred my concentration to where the Dragon stood. He was still hurting my mate right now, and I was angry. Kayda. I shifted back from Adalinda, and I barely took a breath when Eoin was covering me with a shirt. I pulled it on, eager to confront the now injured and crumbling figure of the so called Master. The man who had threatened to have sex with me against my will, who had kidnapped, held numerous young women captive, murdered girls who had defied him and who had hurt his mate so badly was now nothing more then a frail bleeding mess. My anger towards him was no longer unrefined and unbridled now the fear was completely gone, had I not been pregnant already I had no doubt he would of forced himself on me. I wanted to be by Kayda's side but I sent Ben, Rori and Chance after her, my need to be with my mate was only barely overpowered by my need to secure the lizard Drakos so I knew he would never harm my mate or anyone again. Arthur and James were happy to help, and once outside the huge villa, Arthur's warriors took the now weak Drakos a d escorted Jim back to the ship. "Looks like Kayga held her own." Kayda. We stood together on the beach and just looked at the sparkling sea and the dark night sky that stretched ahead. "What now?" Daisy asked. "Well, I guess whatever we want." Eoin. Once Kayda and Andy were settled and fed, I left them alone with Ash to take a moment to think about all that had happened. Kayda was cuddled close to Ash as they chatted quietly. I had intended on asking him to be my royal Gamma, but instinctively, I knew as an Alpha that his wolf may not be a good fit. Ash was a tracker and a warrior, and quite frankly, he had some traits of a lone wolf. He never spoke about going off as a lone wolf, but he had always spoken about going on long warrior missions for the crown. Kayda I was glad when I finally said goodnight to everyone as the adrenaline of the fight and our rescue had worn off. I made sure Andy was okay and had spoken to Daisy by using Eoin's phone to ring Sage. Daisy was in awe of the palace and excited by the magic she had experienced on the ghost roads. She was rambling on about how nice Sarah the omega was and was insisting on staying with the omegas who worked in the palace as she excitedly told me how they instantly understood her and she loved it. I had been well aware the single young omega palace staff lived together and hung around in a tight group helping each other with palace chores by day and partying it up by night but I was shocked at how quickly Daisy had integrated into their group.
