"Who was it, Dad?" Dad didn't respond immediately instead his phone slipped from his hand and fell on the bed his head slumped to one side. His eyes were red and glassy. He looked dejected.

" I never knew my past would haunt me like this. Because of m,e my granddaughter is in danger. Before we could ask anything else his phone started ringing again. Immediately he picked up the call

"What do you want? Leave Kavya out of all this. She is innocent. Your rivalry is with me, why are you involving her?" Dad spoke in a high-pitch

"She is your granddaughter, you will do anything for her. Send your elder son to fetch his daughter. He should come all alone with no bodyguards following him. If a single mistake on your end it will cost you your son and granddaughter. I want you to feel the same pain as I have felt years back." His loud voice reverberated through the speaker of the phone.

"What are you instilling in me? I haven't done anything. instead I." Before Dad could speak further
