As Araceli walked back to her car, Rafael asked her, "Did you get to talk to Franco?" "No," she replied, tears welling up in her eyes. "I saw him with his wife and I just couldn't bring myself to approach them." Rafael put his arm around her and said, "It's okay. You don't have to put yourself through that. Let's just go home." Araceli nodded in agreement. As they got in the car and drove away, she couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. She was heartbroken that Franco was with someone else. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," Rafael said as they drove. "It's not your fault," Araceli replied. "I just need some time to process everything." "Take all the time you need," Rafael said. "I'm here for you, no matter what." Araceli smiled weakly and leaned her head on the car's window. .... As Rafael drove past the highway, I was reminded of the first time I boarded the a bus with Franco. I fell asleep on his arms and he gently caressed my hair until we reached our destination.
As Diego stood in the kitchen, getting a glass of water from the fridge, he couldn't help but think about Araceli. He remembered how she used to shiver at night, and how he would wrap her in a blanket to keep her warm. But that was all in the past now. Araceli had moved on, and she was engaged to one of the most powerful men in Mexico City. Diego couldn't believe it, and it made him feel a pang of jealousy.Just then, the weather changed, and it started to rain. The cool breeze made Diego shiver, and he couldn't help but think about how much he missed Araceli. He sighed as he drank from his glass, his thoughts drifting back to the past. He remembered the last time he had seen Araceli, and how she had looked in Francisco's arms. It made him angry and jealous, and he couldn't shake the feeling. But then, he shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. It didn't matter what Araceli was doing now. He couldn't change the past, and he had to move on.Diego's thoughts drifted back to the pa
As Araceli sat on the bed, listening to Rafael's revelation, she felt a mix of emotions. She was shocked and saddened by the news that Franco's foster father might have really been murdered by Francisco. But as she thought about it, she realized that there was another layer to this situation. She had made a deal with Francisco, a deal that involved getting rid of Franco once and for all. She had agreed to this deal without knowing the full story, and now she was feeling unsure about whether she wanted to go through with it. "What if it's because of the murder that Francisco wants me to get rid of Franco?" she asked Rafael, frowning. "What if he's trying to silence him before he can be exposed?" Rafael looked at her with concern. "It's possible," he said. "But we don't know for sure. The only way to find out is to ask Francisco directly." "I will," Araceli said, her anger building. "I'll confront him and ask him if he's responsible for his foster father's murder. And if he is, I'll
Araceli descended the stairs and was immediately greeted by the maid. She was about to ask the maid what was going on when there was a loud knock at the door. She walked over to the entrance, wondering who could be visiting at this hour. As she opened the door, she was shocked to see Franco standing on the doorstep. Shock rushed through her spine as her eyes twinkled. He had just disappeared the night before without saying anything to her, and now, here he was, standing in front of her with another detective by his side. "Franco," she said, unable to hide the surprise in her voice. "What are you doing here?" He didn't even spare her a glance, but simply held out a piece of paper. "We're here to question Francisco," he said gruffly. "Is he home?" Araceli was taken aback by the coldness in his voice. She had loved Franco once, but he had shattered her heart when he left without a word. And now, here he was, acting as if she meant nothing to him. Yes, Francisco is home," she said,
"You should be careful." Rafael warned Araceli. "I know, Francisco must be onto something, now that I think about it, he wouldn't have placed the engagement on the line. I know how obsessed he is with me. He is up to no good." She plopped on the bed. The soft rustling sound of the sheet could be heard as her hands clenched it tight. Rafael asked Araceli, "So, what are you going to do about the deal with Francisco? Are you really going to go through with framing Franco for a crime just to break off your engagement?" Araceli looked down at her hands, tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't know, Rafael. I'm so torn. On the one hand, I feel betrayed by Franco for getting adopted and leaving me behind all those years ago. But on the other hand, I don't want to ruin his life by getting him fired from his job. I just don't know what to do." Rafael put his arm around Araceli and gave her a comforting hug. "I know it's a tough decision, but you have to do what's best for you. Just remem
"I've got great news for you and a bad one too." A tall man dressed in a dark grey suit said to the woman, who was seated on a sun lounger beside the pool. He finally let out."You did?" Her lips parted in shock as the name registered in her mind, memories of times past flickered before her eyes making her heart beat even faster with each breath she took."Finally." She mumbles to herself, smiling and gently tapping her chest as she recalls it all, the one whom her heart yearns for, the man whom she owes her every breath. Her childhood love-Franco was alive. He was the most beautiful part of her past but yet, the most painful mem
