Chapter 56 - Burnt Pages
I needed to stop and process everything. My heart is hammering out of my chest as those words keep on playing inside of my head. What does she mean? What did I just read? My mind is in haywire as I gulp water and tried to comprehend what was written in the journal of the late senator.
Still, after calming myself, I can’t understand what she means in the last part. I understand that they are sexual but why does it feel like Major Sullivan wants something that she doesn’t obviously want but give it to him anyway.
