Chapter 2

Narrator's perspective (Author)         

            Alyssa was confused when her parents told her to wait in her bedroom. Alyssa tried to listen to their conversation but all she could hear was “yes she is……... We raised her…...I don’t care she has royal blood…but…. No more ....” Alyssa’s parents came to get her at the end of their conversation, and she looked sad when they reached the living room where the king was sitting on the couch. As soon as he saw Alyssa he said “pack your bags we’re leaving. Alyssa said she would only go if her parents could go with her. The king said he was her father and Alyssa said I know that, but they have raised me my whole life they are my family. The king agreed to have Alyssa’s parents come with her to the castle when they arrived, they found out the queen had died, and Alyssa's birth mother was the new queen. Alyssa’s birth mother was happy to see her but to Alyssa it felt like she did not care about her at all. Alyss found out that she was the only one that could inherit the throne. 

        The king said if Alyssa could make it to the age of 18, he would step down from the throne and she would become queen. After that statement no one dared to harm Alyssa but on Alyssa’s 18 birthday and her coronation she heard her birth mother say as soon as Alyssa was crowned to get her to sign the power transferor paper. Alyssa did not really care because she never felt any love from her birth mother. When the coronation started Alyssa could see people from her old village were horrified that Alyssa is going to be the new queen because Alyssa may want to take revenge on them. The coronation went well and within three days of her enthronement her entire village came to see her and to beg for forgiveness. Queen Alyssa said it was okay she was going to be a kind queen and not bring any harm to her people, but she warned the village people that next time there is someone who looked different to be kind does not mean.

Narrator's perspective (Author)

          Alyssa was now the queen and was doing the morning meeting for all the villages to tell her if they had any problems. The only problem that almost every village was talking about was wolves taking livestock. When the last village chief was talking about the wolf the queen noticed an 18 - 19 boy behind him. The boy had silk brown hair and golden eyes and was about 5’7 feet tall and you could tell he worked a lot with his bulging muscles. The queen snapped out of staring in time to hear the village chief suggest killing the wolves as soon as the chief said it. Alyssa noticed the boy gave the chief a death glare. Alyssa looked puzzled when the boy gave the chief the death glare. Alyssa looked back at the chief and said, “No they are just hungry and probably have young to feed anyone that kills a wolf that does not kill a human will be severely punished.” When the queen said that the boy looked at her with shocked eyes and then smiled. When the queen was done speaking, she once again noticed the boy and asked who he was the chief smiled and said he was the most promising of the young soldiers in his village and his name was Noah. 

Noah’s perspective

The village chief said that since I was the most promising young soldier, I would accompany him to the castle to talk to the queen about the wolves. I was shocked but said yes to make sure the wolves would be safe after all they are my family. I should explain that wolves are actual werewolves, and I am one of them. They only come to town for food, but all the villagers are scared of us, so I came in human form. Though the villagers don’t know that. The chief and I set off for the castle at daybreak. It took us one and a half days to reach. When we reached the castle, we were led to a room full of people. I smelled the most amazing smell ever. It was peaches, cinnamon, and vanilla. My wolf jumped at the smell and yelled at me to follow it. The smell took me to the front of the room where there was a big chair where the smell was at the most. While I was staring at the chair music started playing announcing the queen then the queen walked in. She looked around 18 years old, and she was the one that smelled amazing. As soon as I looked in her eyes my wolf was running around shouting MATE!! MATE!! MATE!! I gasped she didn’t even have her wolf yet not to mention she thinks she’s HUMAN I screamed at my wolf. When it was my chief turn to speak to the queen, I stood behind him and looked at the queen. I was shocked to see she had blonde hair and blue eyes that were the traits only the werewolf royalty could have. I noticed she was staring at me as well. I guess it was because of the mate bond even though she didn’t have her wolf, yet she would next week on her 19th birthday. We both snapped out of the staring lock when we heard the chief say that we should kill all the wolves that come into the village. I gave him a death stare. It seemed the queen noticed I hated him for threatening my family and friends and that the queen who was my mate would say yes. I stared at the queen in shock when I heard her say “No they are just hungry and probably have young to feed anyone that kills a wolf that does not kill a human will be severely punished.” Then I smiled knowing that even though she had no wolf, yet she protected the pack I was proud to be her mate.
