RABIYA
It was already almost midnight when the dinner was served. We settled ourselves one by one onto the long (when I said long, I meant super long) table, where in on top of it laid the bountiful and stomach-churning menus of variety of foods. There was this famous toasted turkey, there was also some meatballs dipped into a sauce made of some spices and tomato ketchup, there was three different kinds of salads, and four different kinds of pasta. It was as if we were just eating in a catered restaurant, and the foods were surely way, way too much for us. As we sat ourselves onto the seats, we could not help but just be amazed and overwhelmed of what were laid on the table. That was why, while we were still waiting for Travis’ big brother to join with us in this late night supper, we decided to take a mini conversation and talk about how majestic this set up was and why did it have to be that way.

JANVICIt was probably the best night that we all spent together. We got to experience a good jacuzzi bonding, we got to eat a table full of splendid and variety of foods, and we got to enter a mansion with an infinity pool and a zoo brimmed with almost all kinds of animals particular to the place. It was as if we had went on a trip to four different destinations in just one night and in just one place. It was a cute, a definite cute experience, and no one, none of us, would ever deny it at least. I was so confident that this would remain in our memory forever, and this would surely top all the existed so-called happy memories we once had. In just a span of few hours, we were able to forget what gruesome and terrible event had taken place back when we were on the school. It was indeed true when the old men said that the more happenings occur, the slower the time you think was moving. Now I was able to prove that urban saying bec
It went very fast. Without a word after that sounding discussion I and Andrei had, we never heard anything from each other at all on the span of the succeeding hours. I did not know what he did on the following hours that we stayed awake, but I, I did everything in my power to keep myself busy until the sunlight shows up. On four o’clock, I went for a shower. Yes, whatever it was that you were thinking, it was right. Each and every guest room in this mansion had its own toilet, where inside was a shower and a mini bath tub. That was how amazing this mansion was. Anyways, so yeah, I did took a good and warm shower and calmed myself in the toilet, as Andrei remained muted on his bedroom, scrolling this his cellphone and looking at random funny pictures and videos on the internet. It was his hobby, I must say. Every time we had a break from the class, he would only do two things: he would either go to the nearest cafeteria and buy himself a snack, or go to the corner of the
VHYNZ Around nine to ten o’clock in the morning, just when all of us were already awake and had a pretty good sleep, we decided it would be best if we would inform our parents ahead that we would not be going home but instead, we will be staying another day here in the Exposito villa. Since Mom and Dad had not been in home and for almost two weeks already, and since there were no people inside the house, my twin sister Samantha and I decided to just skip this segment and worry about our parents instead. We walked towards the balcony with each one of us holding a cup of chamomile tea and we both sat on the bench made of limestone. We were facing at each other, staring at one another awkwardly as if we were not twins or siblings in the very least. I took a sip of the chamomile tea from my cup before saying, “How do you think are things going there in the island by now?” I asked to my twin sister, taking in conte
“Okay, now what else do we need?” Travis sighed as he anchored both of his hands on the sides of his waist. He was looking at the cargo we had loaded on the truck; particularly some tents, some plastic chairs, and some piles of wood that we were going to use in fueling our bonfire. Along the mentioned things were also the kitchen wares, a barbeque grill, and water jags. There were some ingredients and spices all packed in one cotainer, too. A bucket of ice, and a bucket full of wines and other beverages as well. It was already about to turn six o’clock in the afternoon, and so every single one of us were busy packing our own things to be brought to the beach venue. the girls, I forgot to mention, but they took a two-hour speed shopping at the nearest mall, which was about thirty minutes drive away from here, only to buy their swim suits and other swimming stuff they felt they needed. Meanwhile, us, the guys who was left in the mansion, took the responsibility of ch
RABIYAThe moment we stepped inside the beach resort was the moment we realized how blessed this place was. How peculiar it was, and how paradise-looking was it in all sense of the word. When you entered through the emerald green color of the two-winged gate, the very first thing that would greet you would be the fountain that stood on the center of a mini plaza. The fountain itself was not functioning well, and neither did it have a water in it, but it was the kind of fountain that had a cemented statue of a giant rose in it. Travis said it was popularly known as the rose fountain, so starting from the moment we recognized it, we began calling it that way. On the left side, there were cottages made of the ever-classic nipa huts. Basically, nipa huts are kind of cottages that were made of bamboo sticks, coconut straws, and lumber wood. They were also varnished with bronze-colored paint that added a more classical look on it. Mea
CHUCK There was not a single second when we did not feel glad and happy because finally, the thought of bonding out together and spending a good quality time with each other has been taken into full account. We thought, this would only exist in our dreams alone. We thought, this would never happen in real life. Considering all the shit that had been taking place in the school, plus the personal problems we were facing silently, and the problems existing in each of our family, it was pretty possible to just give up this fairy tale-like dream and just focus on living a deeply messed up life. But no. At some point, Travis made it possible for us to live in those dreams. A dream of laughing and bonding beneath the sea, under the broad moonlight of the sacred and placid night. Under the stars that fortunately aligned. Under the breathe of nature. Under the silent breathe of the world. Two hours had passed and we
By eleven o’clock, thirty seven minutes before exactly twelve midnight, I was so sure to conclude that Travis was already drunk and wasted. Like legitimately drunk. Pretty much similar to those drunkards you would often see in the bars during three o’clock in the morning, just right when the bar itself closes because everyone’s done with their session. But Travis, he was this one person left on the bartender’s table, drunk as hell, and could barely even stand because the world was spinning on his head, that just a simple movement would definitely trigger a nausea--that would eventually lead into a massive amount of puke.I tried to check up on him but he was like a sensitive time bomb, that a simple touch would mean great harm to everyone. He was lying on the cold and viscous white sand off the shore, six to seven meters away from the bonfire--he was, among all of us, the farthest from the fire. As much as we wanted to drag hi
