Himari’s POV.-I sigh for the umpteenth time, wiggling my butt on the cushion of the couch I’m sitting on. After narrating all that transpired in the forest, Winter advised strictly, that I hold the egg close to me for a couple of hours to establish a bond with the Chimera offspring. There’s no way to tell if it's a single offspring or if there’re more.A pang of grief rattles in my heart at the recollection of my short moment with the mythical beast. For sure, I would’ve loved to establish a lasting bond with it. Sigh, I sulk, folding in as I press the egg to my chest, resting my chin on it as I enter a ruminative ball.Winter had told me I needed to maintain an uninterrupted flow of my healing flames to feed the egg. I do wonder about it, I find it strange the only nutrition I can feed it is exclusively my healing flames. Thanks to the golden flames from a few hours ago, it appears the Chimera did leave me with the little gift to harness my healing flames for this purpose.

Himari’s POV.-Zorien leaves me in turmoil, strolling off to enter the bathroom while I lower my gaze to the pile, dropping on my knees as I go through them with a radiant bubble swelling in my chest. I’m so excited to open them all! But, maybe I’ll keep them away first. I need to find Welma and also, someplace safe for the egg.I glance at the bathroom door, rising on my feet. Himari POV.-The momentum I use to drive my body forward is what gives me the right angle for the leap I desire. Ashton expects to counter my attack by mostly lunging up at me to not only surprise me and null my attack, but also get away with a neat tap to my back. It’s pretty good, but I’m not attacking him, it’s only a cheap fluke.Right when his fist is closing in, I shift mid-air, ducking swiftly and spontaneously grabbing hold of his shoulder to control my speed as I bring my feet back to the floor deftly. Still at the height of my speed, I slide my feet over the floor and twist my body enough to run an arc around Ashton. Himari’s POV.-I scoff angrily, marching around to my side of the bed to get on while stubbornly ignoring Zorien. Himari’s POV.-Kitra and Welma won’t stop fussing over Zorien’s permission for me to go shopping with his debit card. It’s not like I had a choice to refuse when he said it like that, and I really do wish to appreciate the gifts I received. It’s because she’s gradually gravitating toward the day she finally comes of age. Not just her private conversations with her wolf, I can predict the direction of her thoughts and can easily decipher her distress.My perception of her topples over every other perception, aggravating my craving to have her and marring my restraints to wait it out. Zorien’s POV.-Isn’t that...a Chimera’s egg?The large egg is situated on an active magic circle, and I whip a hand out to call it into my palm. The red pillar of light emitting from the magic circle dispels to release the egg that lifts into the air and comes floating towards my open palm. The moment its base touches my palm, something snaps like a string and its weight registers on my hand.It’s heavy. I hold the egg aside and flick the giant tank. Cracks creak over the glass, rushing in all directions and I step back just as the tank collapses into a burst of shards and water. Himari’s POV. - The blaring call of my name snaps me out of my reverie right in time with the expulsion of black fire that basks the air around me. I fall, colliding my back into crispy crushes of rapidly incinerating things that deafen my ears with their agonizing cries. Himari’s POV.-There’s a massive hole that’s been carved to the outside as my feet struggle to firm their footing. As the daylight pours in and debris falls from above and hit the nearly completely deleted ground, my awing eyes continue to expand stupendously as I take in the beauty of these beings staring down at me.Their emerald eyes, large and gem-like, seem to be particular as they concentrate on me. Large heads with a blue-lit symbol of the crescent moon carved into the middle of their foreheads, huge black Dragon wings a little open at their sides as their massive bodies prop up on their limbs. The one to the left has a thick fine grey mane that frames its face, while the other appears to be a female without a mane.Oh dear...they’re so huge. Are they supposed to come out like this?
