Zorien’s POV.

After assuring my pup her friends are alright, I instruct her, “I want you to play along to me being a human. The people I want you to meet assume I’m just that, and I don’t wish for them to know of my true nature”.

She nods obediently, looking more radiant in her lively color as she clutches onto the long sleeves of my coat that’s draped over her small shoulders. She looks so tiny in it that its hem sweeps over the floor.

Just looking at her, I can’t help my anticipation to see the fireworks she’ll explode into when I reunite her with her family.

“Let’s go.”

I bring her to the cabin, carrying her in my arms while she shyly places hers around my neck with a stubborn shy blush featuring over her adorable face. She’s been docile since she woke up, acting submissive to me without any defiance. I also can’t feel her wolf and I’m worried that poison must’ve hurt her more than I assumed.
