CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINE

Noah's Pov

I was surprised as the boy immediately ran to the table and dropped his weapons. Then reached in his miniature coat pocket and pulled out a line of paper and a quilt.

The coat was small and the pocket was smaller, and I was surprised at how full sized writing materials managed to fit inside.

I watched him run back to me and urge me to sit down, and I did. Then he gently shoved David and Donovan to another seat. And they fell in beside me into bamboo chairs that creaked as they sat down.

Then the boy folded himself on the ground, crossing his legs like a monk and setting himself straight. As he began drawing things on the paper; running his hands both up and down, sideways, and across the page.

He moved with the precision and focus of an artist and his eyes stayed glued to the paper as he sketched. And David and Donovan squinted at him as he drew.

"What do you think he's drawing?" David asked, curious, touching Donovan.

And Donovan chuckled.

"Probably a goat with pretty flo
