The Bad signal

CONAN'S POV

"I decided to drop by to check if there's anything I could do for you," I said nonchalantly, ignoring his incessant ranting.

He sized me up with an annoyed gaze before finally beginning to speak.

"Where's Jade?" He asked and I almost chuckled.

"In her apartment," I replied.

"Umm.. can you… don't worry, nevermind," He stuttered before returning to the building and I almost burst into laughter.

I was expecting him to ask me to bring her over and I would have told him my woman needed some rest.

After confirming that he had no important task to give me, I retired to my apartment for the day's rest as it was getting late but after getting home, I still couldn't have the rest I craved.

I fished out the documents Ryan had left at Jade's apartment and my gaze swept across it.
