I watched as Carissa's demeanor changed as soon as she saw Victor standing behind me and I began to wonder if this was going to end well like I wanted.
" What is he doing here? " She asked, her voice laced with spite, making it very obvious that she wasn't pleased with the fact that he came here with me.
" Can we at least come inside? We have been traveling for three days straight and we are very tired, " I informed and she opened the door wide enough for us to enter.
