JAYDEN ALEXANDER's POV -

Its been four years since the last time I met Rosaleigh, my Belle.. since that ill-fated day when I lost my everything.

Now I am on my way to board my private jet to States so I meet Belle err... I mean Rosaleigh. It took me a hard time to convince my parents so that I can complete my second graduation in States. They worry about my well being. After a lot of buttering they finally complied but they have their own conditions.

It was my wish to get transferd at Spanzerdrilt so I could get closer to Rosaleigh for the sake of the Promise.

Getting married before my coronation ceremony is a way to fullfil the promise. As I turned twenty-one last month my coronation is just two year afar. This is Rosaleigh's last year before she goes for a year of internship as a medical practitioner. Besides that I fear what if Rosaleigh falls in love with a guy in Nashville as she completely has no idea neither of our relationship nor about the NOBLE PROMISE.

Being the Sire of Falcovia, my father is very much protective over me especially after the attempted MURDER of Rosaleigh.

The moment I think of that day every cell and muscle in my being becomes cold and rigid. My heart seems sulking in the depth of its pit. Initially it was the most beautiful day of my life when I realised that I love her more than my life. That I want to marry her not only to fulfill the Noble Promise but also because I want to grow old with her. I want her to be the mother of my children. The thought of her ensured well-being brings me peace.

After awhile of boarding the nine hour flight with my parents. I went to the built-in bedroom for a prince that I am. Dad found his interest in his favourite broad sheets and mom in the magazine. My parents first conditions was to accompany me to Nashville so that they can make sure of the situations there.

I laid back on the bed observing my surrounding. How much I love these built in bedrooms. It has all the plush amenities from an espresso maker to walk in shower. The only thing lacking here is Rosaleigh and her warmth. Its one on my bucket list to make love to her in this room on my private jet when we're flying.

Whoa! When did these kind of thoughts started invading your head! - I chuckled at my own thought. I want her to be mine. Its sad that being my girlfriend for two years, we didn't even kiss. All I ever did was to hug her with all my might. Bone crushing hugs were our favourite. I close my eyes to relive the moment when I was informed about our future together.

Flashback.

It was one of those Christmas vacations when Rosaleigh used to pay a visit to our palace with Uncle Henry and Aunt Catherine. We were in our early teens. They were settled in New York. Uncle and Aunt hid their real identity as changed their names to Hendry and Kate. My regular timepass was to play polo with Victor and Danziel.

Danziel was the son of the Duke of Fort Saultville and Victor was my Cousin. His mother and my father were siblings. But that day as Rosaleigh was present in the palace I decided to spend my day with her.

I always appreciated Rosaleigh for her singing. She was a powerhouse of multiple Talents. I was with Rosaleigh listening to her beautiful voice when the butler interrupted us.

"Sorry to disturb you Prince, Her Majesty Queen mother Amelia demands your presence in her library."

After assuring Rosaleigh to return back soon. I walked to the North wing of our palace. My grandmama's library was located at the farthest end of the hallway. With a knock on the wooden double door I entered the library. My grandmama sat behind the massive mahogany table. I glanced around the heavy curtains blocking the sunrays to enter the library. However the candles illuminated the room in the best way possible.

As my Mormor became aware of my presence. I slightly bowed front of her.

"Oh min son, there's no need of formalities when we are alone" - Grandmama gave me a hearty smile as she straightened her posture and gestured me to take a seat. That's a sign she wants to discuss something important to me.

"Mormor, you wanted to meet me" I said while taking my seat.

"Yes min Jayden..." - she took a box out of the drawer. ".... Do you think that this dress will suit Rosaleigh Isabelle?" - she asked me with a glint of smile on her aristocratic face.

"Mormor, why are you asking me about this.." - I paused to take a look at the beautiful blue dress placed in front of me. The colour matched Rosaleigh's eyes. "... I have never been to a girl's studio" - I added looking back at my mormor.

"Jayden, I witness that you are very much fond of her. And if I am not wrong, you spend most of your time with her these days. You like her?" - Mormor stated rather than asked. I hardly fought back the blush that wanted to spread on my face. As I trailed my eyes to meet her gaze and she gave me her most dazzling smile.

"So I take it as a yes!" - she cheered merrily.

"No mormor there's nothing like that" - I protested.

"Jayden I want you to gift her this dress as a christmas gift...." - she continued ignoring my protest.

"...I am looking forward for a grand wedding" - she concluded as I shooted up on my feet. I was shock to death. Mormor wants me to get married at the age of fifteen. Is she still living in the medieval age? Not that I dont want to get married but there's ample of time for that. I have a whole of my life pending and she wants me to walk down the altar at the age of fifteen. Shock was an understatement for my state. Grandmama laughed heartily as she noticed my reaction. Was she joking ?

"Calm down mitt barn, I am not getting you married now.." - she spoke after composing herself.

"But after some years surely Jayden. I want you to get married to Rosaleigh Isabelle" - she said as if it was her order than a request.

Studing my facial features she continued.

"Jayden, your grandfather gave a promise to Queen Camellia, the mother of King Henry to protect their kingdom after the death of her King consort. And as you know about the backstabbing of Edward II. It seems like we are incompetent in fulfilling the promise of your grandfather..." - she sighed a heavy puff of breathe.

"...For protecting the throne of Or'bloem and giving its actual Ruler back, the only way possible is to have a relationship with Orbloem's Royal Family other than Friendship. As Rosaleigh is the Crown Princess of Orbloem and you're the heir apparent to the Falcovian throne. I want you to marry Rosaleigh." Grandmama adjured.

Without any further thoughts I stood to my feet and picked up the box from the mahogany table.

"Your wish my command mormor." I smiled and bowed at her before leaving the library.

Born to a Royal family was not a cake walk. We're taught to abide by our elder's wishes. And here it was about the promise my late grandfather made to Queen Camellia. Or'bloem is a comparatively small monarchy than Falcovia. And the only way to get back the throne of Orbloem is to marry Rosaleigh.

I am a Royalty and fulfilling my grandfather's promise is my duty.

I'll fulfill a NOBLE PROMISE.

***

That day I took a pledge to protect the Or'bloem's throne with all my life. I was a only a fifteen year old back then. I couldnt have deciphered that I had to protect Rosaleigh too. She was the future of the Bloemens. After two years of being Rosaleigh's boyfriend I realized her importance.

My idiotic heart accepted love the moment I saw her on ventilator sulking into coma suffering for every breath. The pain I felt at that moment was as if a giant hand squizzing the contents of my heart. It was nothing in comparison to what I felt a month later when I was informed that she doesn't remember anything.

My heart was already ripped of from my chest when Dad decided to keep safe distance from them. I wanted to rush to the hospital, and let my feelings out. How empty I felt without her. How cold my body was without her warmth -The warmth of her hugs. How much I love her but I had to comply to my dad's decision. It was mandatory to let the enemies think that there's no heir apparent to the Or'bloemian throne.

With every day passing I kept a track of her health and well being. I was ecstatic at every news I got, from her speedy recovery to her brilliant performane at the academics. Finally after four years of that incident I think she is a strong enough to meet me. Rather I want to see her. Its enough for my pushed up limits. A day more without her will bring my death.

I closed my eyes as sleep slowly conquered me.

ROSALEIGH ISABELLÉI was sitting in the classroom revising notes when Lucy joined. I always prefered Lucy's company to Grace's. Lucy was calm, composed and the most optimistic soul born on earth. She could point out good even in the worst of the situations. Whereas Grace was a totally opposite of both of us. A lively soul. She believed in living in the present rather than worrying over the past or future. Grace was popular among the boys, a heartthrob in the college. She loved us, only two friends and our simplicy. Our reality kept her grounded. The lecture was to start in another five minutes when Grace came running to class looking for me and Lucy. Grace looked like she've just escaped a war. It was pretty uncomfortable and embarrassing but my parents didnt give a damn to all those glances that would come our way. By the time it was mid sem, no more stares came my way. The lights did little to no work beating away the darkness that had settled on the plush walls of the castle which had been Edward's residence for almost two decades. Ruling as one of the most powerful dictators of the time, Edward was loosing interest as nothing excited him anymore. The people of Orbloem didn't cause any ruckus finally accepting their fate and Edward as their Ruler. Edward was running out of excuses to punish the innocents. Everything including sexually traumatizing young girls had lost its essence as a new complication was making its presence prominent in his life. Edward was aging, his life span nearing the inevitable end no mortal could escape. Death. His once energetic bones now creaked and groaned whenever he tried engaging himself in the venereal act. All I needed was a sugar rush to keep me going all night. I peeked inside the kitchen from my spot. Luke was taking extra time. Before I could protest, a shattering shrill caused me to cover my ears. In no time Adam was hovering over me, forcing my head down towards his chest. But the force caused me to fall on my side, near the shattered glass window. A prickling pain shot through my arm as my heart raced at the sight of the gun Adam used to shoot towards the broken glass doors. I turned to look at Grace who was crouched beside sofa, Alex was sheilding Rosaleigh in a careful way while she clung to him like a second skin.
