Chapter 4

Sharaya and I took our time eating I think we both felt that this was important because neither of us scarfed down the food that was in front of us. In all actuality I could only eat about half of the plate before I was full already.

“Full already?”

I just looked down nodding my head, “Hey don’t feel bad when I first got here I could only eat a little bit at a time I promise it does get better with time.”

I looked at her, “Sharaya if my wolf hadn’t told me what happened I think I might have lost my mind with worry I tried protecting you I really did but they still hurt you I am so sorry I should have tried harder.”

She grabbed my hand, “Don’t apologize to be Nina you got severely hurt for me several times I told you not to do it but you were being stubborn as an ox why on earth should you apologize to me I should be the one apologizing for not being stronger.”

“It is not your job to protect me Sharaya it is my job to protect you, you are my best friend after all.”

She smiled at me before pushing the plates away, “Come let me show you to our room that way you can freshen up a bit.”

I grabbed her arm really quickly, “ Can you get me some brown hair dye please and some ice blue contacts first. They can’t see my real hair color or eye color you have seen my wolf.”

She nodded my head, taking me with her to the room, she went over to her dresser and got underneath her clothes pulling out those exact items.

“Your wolf told mine that you were going to need these so I got them awhile ago for when you got here.”

I just smiled at her, I went to grab them from her but she kept them I arched my eyebrow at her.

She smiled at me, “I will do your hair then you can do your contacts after your shower that way your eyes get a break you have had those in for a year now. You don’t have to hide who you are from me because your wolf already told me.”

I just smiled walking to the bathroom, I sat down backwards on the toilet and waited for Sharaya to start dying my hair. After about ten minutes she stopped, I turned and she smiled “I just started the timer so you can get in after about ten minutes or so this is a really good hair dye and doesn’t take long at all.”

She threw everything into the trash bin, then sat it down walking out of the room coming back with lighter fluid and a lighter. Before I could stop her she lite the trash can on fire, “That way they don’t know you dye your hair, at least till you know if they are trust worth or not.”

How on earth did I get lucky enough to get a best friend like her. We sat there talking for a minute when the timer went off, Sharaya got up and walked out of the room again but this time she came back with a towel and some clothes.

“I guessed on the size I knew that you would be small with not being able to eat.”

Then she left the room, I went over turning the shower on once it was warm I removed the contacts that were in my eyes flushing them down the toilet before getting in the shower.

The water felt amazing, and my eyes were finally able to breath, I washed my hair and body with the stuff she left for me in the shower. Once I was done, I got out and dried off making sure to quickly dry off and then I got dressed I opened the door to the bedroom. Sharaya turned around and her mouth fell open when she seen me, “You are beautiful Nina, and your eyes are simply amazing.”

I just smiled, “Thank you!”

“Now get some rest the beta wants to meet with us in the morning.”

I went over to the bed flopping down, “Rubina do you think we will be able to trust this pack?”

“Oh, I know we will be able to but until you feel comfortable and confident, we will hide our identity!”

“Your still hiding things from me when are you going to tell me the truth.”

“I already told you that I can’t tell you till you read the secrets of your family only then will am I allowed to tell you what we actually are.”

“Why do you think were going to be able to trust this pack then?”

“I just do Nina trust me have I ever steered us wrong?”

I guess she had a point there, I laid there staring at the ceiling until my eyes began to feel heavy. When they closed and I thought I would finally get a good night’s rest. Flashes of my parent’s death started to plague me, but then there were flashes of a forest where there was this beautiful pond. I was walking towards it but the moment I got closer it moved further away from me, so I kept walking towards it when I felt someone behind me. I turned to see a set of beautiful women with long white hair staring at me. One had pink eyes and the other had violet eyes, “You are finally here my dear child.” I went to speak but the darkness started closing in on us.

“Well maybe next time we can talk if you can stay here longer.”

I wanted to speak to them, but it seems that I could not because the darkness just kept coming and swallowing me. “Rudina what is going on?’

“You are waking up, Sharaya heard you screaming.”

I slowly opened my eyes to see Sharaya staring at me with such concern in her eyes. “Are you ok?”

I slowly sat up, “Ya just a bad dream!”

She just nodded her head, “Alright I will get us something to eat and bring it up then we can talk about it ok.”

I just nodded my head staring out the window, why did something this bad happen to us nobody in the kingdom deserved this.
