Chapter 3

We must have slept most of the day because I woke to food on the table. I got up from the bed and walked over to the table sniffing the food.

“Wolfsbane and silver do they think we that stupid?”

“Apparently so don’t eat it I stored all the energy I could while we slept that way we could escape tonight.”

I just nodded I couldn’t tell what time of day it was because there were no damn windows in this room. I heard the door knob turn and Victor walked in.

“It is time my little mate let’s go!”

I followed him out of the room knowing I needed to save my energy we could not fight him right now. We approached the middle of the pack’s yard where the moon shined brightly. I looked around and I saw the rest of this pack staring at me with disgust just as they had the very first day.

“Pack tonight my whore turns of age let’s wait for her transformation.”

I looked around and could see many of the she-wolves sneering at me. But I do not want their Alpha. The moon started to rise and that is when the scent of death and sandlewood hit my nose.

“Rudina please tell me that this is right why would she pair us with him?”

“I don’t know but he will never have us!”

I turned around only to find Alpha Victor extremely close to me his wolf took over.

“ Hello my mate tonight you will be mine!”

I backed away from him, trying to keep space between us but he just kept following me.

“ Da’Vina reject him now! He must be in pain as well as the pack in order for us to escape.”

“But then he will know what we are!”

“He will only have an idea as I stated before you don’t even know the true extent of what we are Now do it!”

“ I Da’Vina Daciana daughter of Alpha Daciana, Queen of this kingdom reject you Alpha Victor Vaserian as my mate and king!”

I could feel my heartbreak but Rudina told me this would happen but we would survive. I looked at Victor and he was on his knees as well as the pack but the look he was giving me I didn’t want to wait around for.

I let Rudina take over shifting mid-air, our wolf was large for being a female alpha. But her color is what we must hide, she has pure black fur with streaks of pink in it with a crescent moon on her forehead and a full moon on her thigh. She took off into the forest when she reached pack boarders I broke the bond that Victor forced upon me.

“I Da’Vina Daciana reject the white howlite pack.”

We felt the bond break with the pack and started running again as fast as we could that is when I heard the piercing howl of an angry alpha.

“ Rudina how much further before we reach the pack that you told me about?”

“Not much further Nina I am covering our scent right now so that Victor will not find us.”

“He never accepted the rejection Rudina we will still be tied to him.”

I could see her smile, “ Only if we don’t meet or second chance mate my dear and I have a feeling we will meet him sooner rather then later.”

We ran for what seemed like forever before I saw Sharaya standing in the middle of the forest when she seen me her eyes went wide and she started backing away.

I forgot she has never seen my wolf, “We must shift back she thinks we’re going to kill her!”

I shifted back and when she seen it was me she relaxed a little bit.

“Nina what what are you?”

I just smiled, “Honestly I don’t really know I just know I was born with a special wolf. Sharaya you can’t tell anyone it will only put you at risk.”

“I would never tell anyone Da’Vina I am bound to you always.”

Why would she chose to say that, “Because when we saved her life she she swore her life to ours so she could never betray us even if she wanted to she just doesn’t understand what she has done.”

Now I was more confused than before, but Sharaya threw clothes at me, “Put those on I have to take you to the beta Alpha won’t be back for a few weeks and left him in charge I told him you were on your way.”

I put the clothes on following her, when we got closer, I saw the pack house and it was larger then even my own. She walked right into the pack house and to an office knocking on the door.

“Come in Sharaya!”

She walked in and the look on the betas face told me everything I needed to know.

“Rudina that’s Sharaya’s mate, isn’t it?”

I could see my wolf smile, “Yes but she won’t find out till next week when she turns eighteen and he knows I already spoke with his wolf.”

“This is my friend I was telling you about beta Jordon!”

I bowed my head a little just enough to show respect but not enough to show submission.

“Hello Beta Jordon my name is Da’Vina.”

His looked at me and cocked his head, “Do you have a last name?”

My smiled faltered a little bit, “Yes I do beta but I would prefer to hold on to that until I meet your Alpha at least.”

“I can understand that with everything you have been through.”

“When will he be back that way I can speak to you both?”

“He will actually return the day before Sharaya’s birthday!”

I smiled, “Ok that sounds good is it ok if I wait till then to fill you in on everything?”

“That is alright with me Da’Vina!”

“Please call me Nina after all you allowed me into your pack knowing another Alpha is after me!”

“Don’t worry about it Victor will not come here he knows better I have you bunked with Sharaya at the moment I hope that is ok.”

“That is wonderful thank you.”

Sharaya grabbed my arm dragging me out of the beta’s office. “Let’s get you something to eat and drink. I know you haven’t ate in awhile.”

I just smiled at my friend, I was actually starving I kept walking arm and arm with Sharaya until we came into a very big kitchen but there were already plates waiting for us.

I looked at Sharaya with my eyebrow arched, “Beta Jordon had the kitchen make the plates while I introduced you, he already knows he probably were starving.”

We sat down eating in silence at least tonight I could sleep peacefully.
