Chapter 11: Waiting for an explanation & Comfortable Days?

Lui Shan and Shun picked up the sandwich and took a bite. Their eyes light up and start eating in an elegant manner but with incredible speed. After they finished their sandwich Su Lan had only taken three bites. Lui Shan and Shun picked up their tea and drank it before trying out the pound cake. After tasting the pound cake, Lui Shan and Shun's eyes started to shine. Su Lan lowered her head and munched on her sandwich.

Su Lan: (in her mind) Their eyes are so scary it looks like they want to eat someone. They definitely have a sweet tooth.

Lui Shan and Shun finally stopped when there was only a piece of pound cake left. After waiting for Su Lan to finish her sandwich, pound cake and tea they both looked at her.

Su Lan knew they were waiting for an explanation. Lui Shan and Shun both had taken care of her this whole time and knew her original self too well.

Su Lan put down her teacup and asked if they could speak in a place no one could hear.

Lui Shan went to his desk and took out something that looked like a desk call bell and walked back over. After he sat down again he pressed on the bell and a circular shield surrounded the whole office. Lui Shan told her it is used to block out others from seeing what is happening inside and to shield off all sounds.

Su Lan looked up at Lui Shan and said, "Father, you can see that my character changed and that I could make food that doesn't exist in this world so you must have a lot of questions to ask me."

Lui Shan waited for her to continue.

Su Lan: "I am still the Su Lan you know but, also not the Su Lan you know."

Lui Shan: "What do you mean?"

Su Lan: "My soul was divided into two. One was in this world and the other in another world."

Lui Shan and Shun: "....!!!! What?!"

Su Lan: "My poisoning this time caused my other soul to be pulled back from the other world because if my other soul didn't come back I would have died."

Lui Shan and Shun: "....!!!!"

Su Lan: "After my two souls merged I had memories of both worlds and had other skills like magic."

Lui Shan and Shun: "....!!!!"

Su Lan: "I know it doesn't sound real but this is the truth. I wasn't sure if I should have told you but, I decided that I can trust the person who gave his all to bring me up."

Lui Shan started tearing after hearing that.

Lui Shan asked her what her world was like and Su Lan told him some main points. She told him of the technology, the advanced medical skills, and how there was no magic in that world.

Lui Shan and Shun were quiet for a while and both told her to never tell this to another person.

Su Lan: "Can I tell brother?"

Lui Shan knew she couldn't hide it from her son because Su Lan changed too much.

Lui Shan: "We will tell him together when he arrives back home during summer break."

Su Lan smiles.

Lui Shan and Shun both thought "so cute !!!!!".

Su Lan before had had any expression so this was the first time they saw her smile. 

Su Lan had asked Liu Shan for someone to teach her magic. Liu Shan asked what elements can she use and her reply was all. Liu Shan and Shun were frozen and quickly decided they would teach her themselves. Su Lin blinked and asked why. Liu Shan helplessly sighed and told her people here can only use one element at the most two. Su Lan felt that even if she didn't mention anything related to the medicine god and her space she was still a cheat of a existence. She can also be considered a cheat.

Liu Shan had Shun fix her schedule.

Shun will teach her in the morning about the norms of this world. They will hire a teacher to teach her the history, language, manners, music, mathematics and art. Liu Shan will teach her magic at night in the training hall.

Su Lan: "....."

She had only asked for basic knowledge and magic lessons. Why did it come to this!

Su Lan from both worlds was similar in some ways that they both were in their own little world. They did as they liked. Lived in a comfortable life away from people/work. Su Lan felt like crying after she heard her lessons. She was also grateful because she knew Liu Shan and Shun were both busy.

Su Lan then looked at the documents on her father's desk and asked if he needed help. Even though Su Lan was lazing at home she was still a college graduate. Liu Shun gave a few documents and asked her to check and see what she thought of it. After looking at the documents she could tell the environment here wasn't that advanced. It was the middle age/ medieval period here. She gave some suggestions that caused both of them to be astounded. Su Lan got up and quickly scanned the first pile, sorting it into what she considered to be urgent and useless. She gave the urgent pile to her father, sorting it into categories. After she finished sorting the second pile her father was already done with what was urgent.

Liu Shun and Shun managed to finish early. They were both so happy that they could finally take a break. Su Lan told Liu Shan to have someone to sort out the documents before giving it to him. It would be faster that way. Shun sighed and said everyone gets frozen from cold air Liu Shan gives out and gets too scared to get near him. Su Lan looked at her father with a look saying, "what are you thinking scaring everyone away."

For the next few weeks, Su Lan had a hectic time running away taking lessons from morning to night. She also went into the kitchen more often to make pastries and lunch for her father and Shun. At night when her head hit the pillow, Su Lan thought when will her life start to calm down and fell asleep right away.
