Since nothing can be done to restore Lauren's memory, we leave the hospital and return to our house in the city.

We just finished having dinner and are back in our room on the second floor.

I'm looking forward to spending some loving moments with Lauren in the comfort of our room. However, I'm disappointed with what happened next.

"Sweetheart, if you are already sleepy, you can sleep on the bed," I said.

She looked at me with a raised brow. "How come there is only one bed?" she asked.

I groaned inwardly. "We're going to be husband and wife soon. There's no need to have two beds in the room. One bed is wide enough for us to sleep on," I explained.

She glared at me. "I'm not going to sleep on the bed with you! We're not married yet!"

She was refusing to share a bed with me, and that's just the beginning.

I sighed deeply, feeling frustrated with her answer. "But we're already intimate. We have done steamy things that couples often do."

"What do you mean?" Her brows furrow

*ALEX* One week has already passed, and I hate to admit that I'm right with my guess: Lauren hasn't regained her memory of me yet. My heart was filled with sadness because I have to bring her to the old mansion this afternoon, and hopefully once we finish visiting Granny Ursula's grave, it can trigger her memory. I'm worried that the enemy will hear the news of my mate going back to the old mansion, but since she already had amnesia, maybe they will no longer touch her. We told no one about Lauren's current condition because we wanted it to be top secret, but anything can happen when you least expect it. Hopefully, no one will come after her this time. My father told me not to worry much because he would send a group of elite guards to protect my sister and Lauren. But despite the tight security, I still have fears because anything can happen, and I'm not there to watch over the two women who are both dear to me. I have no choice, though... Lauren was busy putting her clothes and

*ALEX* "Sweetheart, stay calm. I just want to show you something," I said, coming closer to her. She stepped back. "Show me now! Or I will leave the room. You are scaring me!" "Okay." I halted in my tracks. "Please sit down on the bed. We're just going to talk." She settled on the bed, sitting on the edge, her eyes darting to the door. "I'm sorry if I scare you. Please forgive me." I sincerely apologized to her. She took a deep breath. "Start now so that I can get out of here!" She felt restless and anxious. I cleared my throat. "Sweetheart, I brought you here hoping that you would remember our beginning. I didn't mean to scare you, please believe me." My hands ache, wanting to caress her face. "I trust you, Alex. Just say what you want to say to me so that I can finally go back upstairs," she said nervously, looking like she was trapped in a cage. "Okay, listen carefully. I have to tell you my true identity. Um, I'm a werewolf!" I blurted out the words, relieved that I had fi

*ALEX* The servants put the candle and flowers into the vehicles. We piled into our car and quickly reached the cemetery in no time. The weather is good; the horizon was already preparing for sunset. The three of us exited the vehicle and walked to the grave ahead of us. The servant arranged the flowers in the tomb and lit the candles. I was observing Lauren's face the whole time. Right now, even if we are standing in front of Granny Ursula's grave, she shows no emotion at all. She might have sensed that I was watching her because she looked at me and our gazes met. "What?" she asked. "We're already here. Can you say anything to Granny Ursula?" I asked, expecting her to show sadness and tears of longing in her eyes, but that did not happen. She's simply maintaining that poker face of hers. It's kind of a bummer that amnesia can change a person's personality overnight. Lauren fell silent. She continued staring at the tombstone with Granny Ursula's name written on it. I was in d

*ALEX* The following day. I dreamed in my sleep. I was swimming on the beach with Lauren. She was wearing a two-piece swimsuit, looking beautiful as always, and then, out of nowhere, someone slapped my arm and pushed me hard. I ended up falling on the hard floor. "Ouch!" I yelled. When I opened my eyes, my beloved Lauren was looking down at me with a furious look on her face. A quick glance at the window tells me that it's already morning. "Good morning, sweetheart!" I greeted her cheerfully. "Why are you mad? Did someone pisses you off?" I asked. She glared at me. "When I woke up this morning, your hands were all over me! Pervert!" She hissed in my face. "Oops, sorry about that! I will never do it again!" I apologized, rising to my feet and avoiding her gaze. When I was halfway through the bathroom, I looked over my shoulder, and she was still looking at me angrily. I sighed and walked toward her. "Sweetheart, I'm really sorry. Where did my hand go? I'm in a deep sleep. I don't

*LYN* After my brother was gone, Lauren and I went to my room, and I showed her my wizardry book. "Sis, do you know what this is?" I asked her, showing her my most valuable possession, my wizardry book, a gift from my absentee grandmother. Lauren looked at the book in my hand, seemingly not interested. "It's an old book. What's so special about it?" she asked. "I learned magic through this book! It's my grandmother's book," I explained. Lauren smiled. "Cool. Can you teach me some magic?" she asked. "I don't know if I can teach you magic because only people with witch bloodlines can unlock the world of magic. You are a human being. You have no magic bloodline in you," I stated. "Ah, okay. Never mind," Lauren said. She lowered herself onto the bed and looked at me. "Let's talk about your grandparents. Why haven't I seen them around? Even once. Where are they now?" she asked curiously. I fell silent for a moment. I have no idea where my grandparents are, but Lauren was waiting for

We are heading to this private property, where my parents are currently waiting for me as they are attending the birthday party of a close friend. When we arrived at the venue, we were greeted with an eerie silence. There is no guard visibility at the entrance to the property, which is kind of odd. "Alpha, we should remain here inside the vehicle while our guards are checking the area," Bart said. "Why?" I asked. "I smell something fishy about this place. Let's just wait for our guards to inform us if your parents are still inside the venue," Bart explained. A few minutes later. One of our bodyguards ran towards our limo. "We found dead bodies inside the party venue!" "WHAAAAT!?" My face turned paper white. I'm getting worried about my parents safety. "Did you see the Alpha King and the Luna?" Bart asked. The bodyguard shook his head. "Negative. They are not among the dead people inside
