*ALEX*

I felt like a cold bucket was poured over my head, and thousands of arrows pierced my heart at the same time. I don't know which hurt the most, losing my parents or losing Lauren.

"Bro, what happened? Are you okay? You looked pale." Brother Frank noticed the agony on my face.

"Sister Lyn just told me that Lauren was also missing." I revealed to them the sorrow behind the gutted expression on my face.

My brother's eyes widened in shock. "WHAAAT? How did it happen? Did the enemy attack the old mansion and kidnap your mate as well?" he asked.

"No. It didn't happen like that. No outside attack has ever occurred. Lyn was taking her afternoon nap, and one of the servants saw Lauren leaving the house. She was heading to the garden at the back of the house. After that, no one has ever seen her again. They searched the house from top to bottom. All the nooks and crannies were being searched thoroughly; even when they searched the cemetery, they couldn't find her there. She just disappea

*ALEX* Together with my brothers Frank and Bart, we entered the room where the council meeting was being held. We took our seats, sitting side by side with each other. The council meeting was about to start. I glanced at Norris; he was wearing a serious expression on his face. Bart's father took the podium and addressed everyone. Francisco scanned the faces of the attendees. "Gentlemen, we gathered here tonight for the emergency council meeting. I'm sure you already know what happened to our Alpha and Luna. They are abducted from the party that they have attended. We are still trying to gather intelligence about this incident. We have no leads yet, and the abductors haven't demanded a ransom or anything. As long as we don't see bodies, our Alpha and Luna are still alive. I urged anyone to come forward if you have some valuable information about this incident." Whispers of horror and shock can be heard from the attendees. Francisco cleared his throat and continued, "Alpha Alex's

"Welcome to my trap, young lady!" A male voice stated out of nowhere."Who are you? Where are you?" I asked, frantically looking around me to find the voice, but I only saw darkness everywhere."No one needs to know who I am. I'm just a messenger. Yeah, you can call me the messenger. That would be my name. As for your other question, where am I? I'm everywhere, young lady," the male voice said."You told me that this was a trap. Do you mean that you don't have my parents with you? You just lured me out of the mansion to capture me?" I asked."We do have your parents in our hideout; it's far from here. We are all waiting for an order from our master," the voice replied."Are you going to kill me? Are you going to kill my parents as well?" I asked in a frightened voice."If our master orders us, then we will obey his order," the voice answered."If that is the case, then can you take me to my parents? Please? I want to die with them rather than die alone in this suffocating place that y

*ALEX* "This is getting too much!" I growled in despair and anger. "Indeed," Bart replied with a sigh. "I will check the forest when we arrive at the old mansion," I said. "I remember it now that when I visited the cemetery with Lauren, she kept looking at the forest. Maybe there is an entity there that is responsible for her disappearance, and now it took my sister as well." "If no one among the guards and servants is missing other than Lauren and your sister, then whatever is lurking in the forest is after your family. This is getting irritating as more people go missing, and the mystery is too much to handle with my already fried brain," Bart said. "I have to explore the forest. I can't ignore the possibility that Lauren and my sister are in there somewhere." I said, looking at the road ahead, getting impatient that we were still far from the mansion. "Alpha, the more that you should avoid that forest because it already has taken your human mate and your sister! I don't want t

*ALEX*Bart and the guards finally returned from the forest for dinner break, and I'm glad they were safe."How's the search going?" I asked, eager to hear some good news. "Any good news for me?"Bart shook his head. "I'm sorry, Alpha, but we didn't find your sister and mate in the forest. We searched the whole place, but we can't find them," he said apologetically."It's okay. No need to apologize. Head now to the kitchen for dinner and have a rest afterward," I said."Thank you, Alpha!" Bart said and proceeded to the kitchen with the guards.I was left alone on the couch. I feel sad and disappointed that they failed to find anything useful in the forest that would point us in the right direction. But I can't blame them. The culprit must have already left the forest and brought the two missing women with him to a faraway place. I'm terrified of what they are going to do to Lyn and Lauren.I wish there was something I could do to save

Bart sent me a message containing Natasha's number, and I added her to my messenger. I typed hello, and she responded right away. "Hello, who is this?" "It's me, Alpha Alex. Natasha, can we meet somewhere?" "Oh, wow! Are you for real? Can we video chat?" Natasha sent three shock emojis. "Sure!" I responded and activated the video chat with her. "Wow! "But why do you want to meet me all of a sudden?" Natasha asked in bewilderment. "Um, I just feel lonely and sad after what happened to my family and my human mate. *ALEX* After a few minutes of travel, we finally arrive at the Jupiter Hotel. I went to the hotel lobby alone. Bart remained outside the building to give Natasha and me some privacy. When I entered the hotel lobby, I saw Natasha sitting on the couch. She stood up and waved her hand, smiling brightly at me. "Darling!" Natasha said it aloud shamelessly. Everyone turned their heads and looked at her. She was wearing a sexy, off-shoulder, backless black halter short dress. She was oozing with sexiness that all eyes in the lobby were staring at her, both men and women. We met in the middle, and she quickly planted a kiss on my cheeks to show off. The men wore a disappointed look on their faces, thinking that she was still in the market. They probably thought we were a couple. "Darling!" She said it sweetly. I groaned inwardly. But I didn't correct her because this is my goal after all. To get closer to her, and maybe I can save my loved ones with this strategy. "Hello, Natasha, you l

*ALEX* Three days later, I and my brothers were preparing for the council meeting. We informed the members that we would have an important announcement for everyone. My brothers and I were discussing our difficult situation in the lounge room of our headquarters two hours before the council meeting started. The atmosphere was dismal and tense. I'm aware that my brothers are against my idea of marrying Natasha after what happened to my family. We both believe that Norris was responsible for the disappearance of my family members and my human mate. Therefore, marrying Natasha is like tolerating our enemy's evil acts. It's a bitter pill to swallow. It's a painful torture that can go on for a long time if I don't find a quick solution to it. "Bro, what makes you think that they will release our family after you announce to everyone that you will finally marry Natasha and she will become your Luna?" Stephen asked me. "Yes, I have the same question," Frank interjected. He looked at me
