Chapter 259: A Long Farewell

”Don’t move… Linda.” A deep voice wafted into my ears, and I couldn’t help feeling excited. Turning around, I find myself looking into a pair of cobalt blue eyes—his eyes were enthralling as they always had been, but that bottomless blackness was now gone. Did that mean he had come to his senses? If so, why hadn’t his body recovered?

“Dicken?” I reached out to grab his webbed claw in my thrill, and I wanted dearly to turn and look at him, only for him to pin me back against the table.
