Chapter 267: The Scale’s Protection

The outermost layer of my hazmat suit couldn’t stop Dicken at all. The tentacles crawled under it with relative ease, but when they were about to breach the final layer and reach my skin, blue light suddenly erupted out of my trouser pocket. My thigh heated up for a moment, and the tentacles immediately stopped molesting me as if something had stopped them before gradually retreating out of my clothing.

However, the force which had been coiling around me also faded, and my body instantly resumed free fall!

Even before I could cry out in surprise, I fell into the water in the next instant, my body consumed immediately by a chill to the bone. Thankfully, I didn’t drown thanks to the oxygen mask, and as I looked around with my night vision, I immediately noticed a tremendous shadow underwater. It looked like a giant spindle, lying peacefully in the depths with magnificence and beauty.

I immediately realized that it was the submarine Gary had been talking about.
