Chapter 258: Feigning Sleep

I saw a table and several decks of playing cards, and I was still sprawled over the table while the others were gone. Darkness was all around me, and it was very quiet.

I immediately realized that I was once again trapped in a terrifying four dimensional space, and that there must be something behind my back. I dared not move and kept my stiff body over the table, keeping my breathing slower than normal.

Amidst the darkness, I could see a webbed claw quietly placed on the table beside myself thanks to my night vision. As the pungent yet familiar sweet scent rushed up my nostrils, I became certain that it was Dicken.

I could feel him leaning over my back, with his head brushing against my nape. His wet hair was spread over both our shoulders like seaweed, blocking my vision when my neck wound was covered by something soft and slippery—I realized instantly that it was Dicken’s tongue, that he was healing my injury.

I was so happy I could jump to my feet, but I became worried again
