Niylah’s POV

Henry and I had just reached the main building when a loud, angry voice called out behind us.

“Niylah! I turned to see Liam, his face dark with anger and hurt, his eyes locked on me.

I froze, my pulse stopping, as I watched his hatred. He also ignored Henry and did not inquire. He just marched over, grabbing my wrist tightly and pulling me away from Henry, who watched with wide eyes.

“What’s going on? I stammered, trying to keep my balance as he dragged me down the hall.

He just didn’t reply, and his hand on my wrist wouldn't let go, as he dragged me out there, out of sight. As soon as we were left by ourselves, he relaxed, and I nearly toppled back. Niylah’s POVI stared at the place where Liam had just stood, shock numbing my body. My heart pounded painfully in my chest, a hollow echo of the love I’d felt moments before. The hallway felt endless, the walls closing in as the reality of the situation hit me. He didn’t trust me anymore. I could feel it like a cold draft slithering down my spine. What had I done to deserve this? I replayed the moment over and over in my mind, every word he’d said piercing through me like arrows. I wanted to scream, to cry, to demand justice against Hilda and whoever else had plotted this cruel game against me. But instead, I stood there, paralyzed by the weight of his words, feeling more alone than I ever had. With a shaky breath, I began to walk back to the main building, each step a reminder of what I had lost. The laughter of students echoed through the halls, a stark contrast to the storm that raged inside me. How could life go on as if everything was normal when my world was crumbling? I neede

Niylah’s POVThe weight of uncertainty lingered, but with every step I took beside Liam, I felt the flicker of hope rekindling in my heart. The tension that had defined our relationship was loosening, and as the truth hung between us, there was a palpable shift in the air. The vibrant courtyard around us suddenly felt like the calm before a storm—an illusion of peace before the tempest that was Hilda Fischer. After we sat down on a bench, the sunlight cast an ethereal glow on Liam’s face, softening the lines of distress that had etched themselves there only moments before. I couldn’t let this moment slip away, not when the truth about Hilda was still looming, an imminent threat we needed to expose.“Liam,” I said, gathering courage. “Before we go any further, I need to tell you what Hilda has planned. It’s much worse than what you think.”His brow furrowed, and I could see the flickering doubts still resting in the back of his mind. “What do you mean?”I took a deep breath, the words

Hilda’s POVThe bustling hallways of Crestwood High resonated with echoes of laughter and chatter, but all I could hear was the sound of my own heart pounding against my ribs. I stood near my locker, pretending to organize my books, but inside I was a simmering cauldron of anger and frustration. Hours ago, my carefully crafted empire had crumbled right before my eyes, laid bare by none other than Niylah and her insufferable ally, Henry.“Did you see the way they all looked at us?” Ivory hissed beside me, her eyes wide with disbelief. “I can’t believe they actually rallied against us! How did this happen?”I slammed my locker shut, hard enough to make an echo reverberate through the hallway. “It’s obvious, isn’t it? That little traitor Henry must have been the one who spilled everything.” My voice dripped with venom. “He always has had a soft spot for Niylah. I should’ve known he couldn’t be trusted.”“It’s infuriating!” Ivory clenched her fists, the frustration reflected in her dark e

Niylah’s POVThe night sunk into a velvet hue as I sat in my room, the lamp casting a warm glow over my desk. Papers and notes were strewn all around me, remnants of the evidence I’d gathered earlier. The adrenaline of the day coursed through my veins. Together with Liam and Alyssa, we had done the seemingly impossible, and we were ready to confront Hilda head-on.“What if she has a response?” Liam's voice broke through my thoughts as he entered my room, leaning casually against the doorframe. There was something comforting in his presence, his eyes searching mine with a mix of concern and determination.“Then we’ll be ready,” I replied, my voice steady despite the fluttering anxiety I felt deep within. “We have truth on our side, and we need to prepare ourselves. I know she won’t take this lying down.”Liam stepped inside, closing the door behind him. “You know Hilda won’t back off easily. She’s cunning and without any moral scruples. We’re playing with fire.”“I understand that. But

Henry’s POVIt was late when I finally made my way back to my house, the night air crisp and sharp against my skin. I had replayed the events of the day over and over in my mind, riddled with second thoughts and regrets. For a moment, I had genuinely believed that helping Niylah would lead to something beautiful, something we could rebuild together. But witnessing her strength today has changed everything. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had made a grave mistake. As the front door of my home creaked open, I stepped inside, feeling the weight of my decisions pressing down on my shoulders. The house was quiet, too quiet for my racing thoughts. I crossed the dimly lit living room, craving solitude, yet unable to ignore the gnawing gnaw of regret.“I should have let Liam hate her,” I muttered to myself, running my fingers through my hair. “I should have kept my mouth shut.”Before today, I had been so consumed by my own feelings of guilt and protection that I hadn’t truly considered t

Evelyn’s POVThe autumn sun dipped low on the horizon, casting golden rays through the trees as I wandered the quiet paths behind Crestwood High. Fall had arrived in full force—the air crisp and filled with the earthy scent of fallen leaves. But beneath this picturesque setting, my thoughts churned with unease. Something was off, and I was determined to discover what it was.For weeks, I’d sensed a shift in the atmosphere—a palpable tension that hummed through the halls of our school. Hilda and Ivory were at the center of that tension, weaving their web of manipulation, and I was all too aware of their cunning ways. I had grown increasingly wary of them, and what had started as suspicion was now a burning need for answers. As I passed by the side of the school, I noticed a small gathering in the empty courtyard. It looked like Hilda and Ivory were caught in a heated discussion with a few of their followers. I ducked behind a nearby tree, flattening myself against the cool bark, my hea

Niylah’s POVThe following day arrived with the dull ache of unease etched in my mind. I barely managed to focus on my classes, thoughts swirling around about Hilda’s deceit, my heart pumping with trepidation. There was a growing unrest in the hallways, whispers of uncertainty following me like a shadow. On top of that, I still worried about Henry—if what Evelyn had mentioned about Hilda’s conversations was true, he was in danger, too.Sitting in the cafeteria, I pushed my food around on my tray, absentmindedly glancing at the buzz of conversation around me. Liam was deep in discussion with Alyssa, and I could see their expressions were animated. There was little comfort in their laughter, though; my heart remained heavy.Suddenly, I caught sight of Evelyn making her way towards our table, her expression determined and urgent. As she reached us, I could sense the gravity of her presence. “Niylah! Liam! We need to talk,” she said, her voice low but fierce. At once, my anxiety flared—w

Niylah stood beneath the pale glow of the moonlight, her heart racing with a mixture of fear and exhilaration. The night seemed alive with energy, vibrating in tune with the beating of her own heart. She had always been the Omega—the weakest, the underestimated, the one who bore the brunt of others' expectations and their scorn. Every day had been a battle against the tides of her reality, a struggle to carve a place for herself in a world that thrived on hierarchy and dominance. But tonight, everything was different.Memories flooded her mind as she took a deep breath. She could still remember the whispers that followed her, the laughter laced with cruelty echoing in the corners of her mind. “Niylah the weak, Niylah the expendable,” they'd call her. The other wolves in her pack had found their strength in their Alpha lineage, their fierce dominion solidified by blood and tradition. And then there was her—nobody. Just Niylah. The Omega. Her hands clenched into fists as she recalled th

Liam's POVThe confrontation had spiraled into a tumultuous battle of emotions that left me reeling. As Sophia’s revelation twisted around us, I could scarcely grasp the gravity of what she had confessed. The air crackled with uncertainty, but behind it all was a thread of betrayal that hung heavily in the silence. It ricocheted through each moment, wrapping the three of us in a storm.“She disguised herself as Evelyn,” I thought, the notion too surreal to digest. “Why would she go to such lengths?”Every detail felt like an incomplete piece of a broken puzzle I strained to assemble. This woven narrative hung precariously, every new thread threatening to unravel the ties that bound us together.“You played Evelyn,” I finally managed to voice, disbelief still clinging to my words. It felt surreal, as though I were watching a play unfold rather than witnessing the reality standing before me. “Why would you put yourself in that position? Why hide in plain sight?”“I did it for you!” Soph

I tried to piece together the fragments of my emotions as I stood there, stunned.Sophia had been my confidant, a steadfast ally who had helped me navigate my darkest days. I had relied on her, unknowingly, while she had worn a mask so deceiving it felt as if the ground beneath me had shifted. It left me reeling, the foundation I thought our friendship was built upon cracking beneath the weight of her betrayal.“Evelyn,” I whispered, the name falling from my lips like a ghostly echo. “Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, remorse reflected in her gaze. I had justified my own insecurities through our bond; I had viewed our relationship as a sisterhood, one founded on support. My heart raced as I prepared to share my truth with Niylah and Liam. I could sense the tension that lingered in the air, the unspoken questions and the hazy remnants of doubt. It was time to shed my own skin, to remove the last pieces of the façade I had built to protect those I cared about most.We had all been through a crucible of conflict that had tested our bonds, but now we stood on the brink of revelation. As I gathered my thoughts, my gaze flickered to Niylah, her fierce determination a beacon of strength. I remembered all too vividly the moments when she had needed me most, how I had made it my mission to be her shield against the dark forces that threatened her.Would she understand how deep this deception ran? Would she see that my intentions had been guided by loyalty, even if my methods were misguided?"There's something you both need to know,"

Liam's POVThe night air felt heavy, charged with emotions still pulsating from the earlier confrontation. Sophia’s voice drifted through my consciousness like a haunting melody, testing the strings of loyalty and trust. She stood before Niylah and me, a woman who’d carried the weight of being our beta and yet had slipped in her duty to protect the very foundation she held dear.“But you think you can just... pull the wool over our eyes and pretend it’s for our own good?” The words were out before I had fully processed them. I felt a mix of anger and disbelief at her veiled intentions, but there was an underlying concern—what else lay hidden behind those secrets?“I thought I was doing what was best!” She cried, small and earnest, the vulnerability in her reflection stirring something inside me. “I know I’ve made mistakes; I laid a path of betrayal. But I wanted to shield you two from the turmoil happening outside our borders.”In that moment, I felt the weight of my initial fury shi

As the moon painted the clearing in ethereal light, I could hardly believe the chaos that had descended upon us. Sophia's words swirled in my mind, but the anger within me felt justified. The betrayal was fresh; it still stung like an open wound. Why had she kept us in the dark? It was unfathomable. Trust was the foundation of our pack, and now those foundations seemed to be cracked and crumbling.“Betrayal,” I echoed Sophia’s words. “That’s what it feels like. You were meant to stand by us, to protect us. Instead, you chose to act secretly.”“Could you not see that it was for our safety?” She looked at me imploringly, and I could see the tremor in her hands as she spoke. Maybe I was too harsh; Sophia was our beta, and she wore that responsibility heavily. But that didn’t excuse her silence.“We’re all carrying our own burdens, Sophia,” Liam’s voice was steady, c
