I just shut my locker, and suddenly, a cold jolt ran over me. Out of nowhere, I was drenched with a splash of icy water, the shock stealing the breath from my lungs as I gasped. I looked around, dazed, and saw Hilda and Ivory standing nearby, smirking in satisfaction.

“Guess you needed a little refreshment, didn’t you? Hilda taunted, her eyes glinting with malice.

“Why are you doing this? I asked, my voice breaking slightly from both the chill of the water and the sting of their words.
