Chapter 23

Sibel’s POV

We were already inside the car, racing to the hospital. Despite the urgency, it felt as though the car was moving too slowly. Jolie's anxiety was palpable, her mind consumed by the thought of her ailing son.

The car seemed to crawl, each second stretching into an eternity as she willed it to go faster, her heart heavy with worry for her child's life.

At last, the car pulled up in front of the hospital and came to a stop. Jolie didn't waste any time; she ran out of the car. I quickly got out and paid the cab driver. As soon as I had paid, I rushed towards Jolie, who was already hurrying back into the hospital. I followed close behind, my heart racing with concern for her son's condition.

The receptionist directed us to Charles' room, and we quickly took the elevator to the third floor. We searched for the room, and when we finally found it, we saw Dylan surprisingly pacing back and forth outside, his face etched with worry. He was gazing out the window, his expression one of
