"Deal." I quickly said. I intended to go shopping for her this week anyway. At least this way, I get something out of it. "We can talk in the kitchen, I thought you might be hungry."

She nodded, and we walked towards the kitchen I had Savanna make us some dinner. She made a mean steak and potatoes.

We only sat in silence for a few minutes before our food arrived.

After we finished eating, I looked at Melody. She seemed to be pondering something. But I want to know what kind of stupid deal I made with her.

"Talk," I ordered.

"Okay, the first year I dated..." Melody stuttered. She was still having a hard time saying his name, I guess. She took a deep breath trying to relax her nerves, "When I dated him, he'd lock me in his room when a few friends came over."

"Okay, they probably didn't want them to look at you." I shrugged my shoulders. I mean, I'd do the same thing with certain people. Especially with how beautiful she is. Wait, did I just say that?

She shifted in her seat a little bit, making me come back out of my thoughts, "I thought that too at first. The more I thought about it, I remember him saying stuff about how to make his business grow bigger."

"Okay, so they were business partners."

"Yes but, at one point they said that they'd become calling themselves something like nefarious..."

I knew this group. They'd tried becoming the best mafia for a few years now and still are trying to be.

"The Nefarious Snake Mafia." I gritted my teeth while I clenched my fists into a ball. This mafia disgusted me. They were one of the worst ones. Getting on their bad side would be a mistake.

"Yeah. Wait, how'd..." Melody started. I knew she stopped trying to guess when I said their true name, "You know this name?"

"Indeed, and I believe that you dated their mafia leader."

----

"Excuse me," I said, standing and walking out of the room. Well, at least I tried to. His hand wrapped around my wrist, pulling me back into my spot.

"We're not done, Melody."

"I need a moment to breathe, taking in that I might have dated a mafia leader for a few years is a lot to take in, Liam."

"I don't care."

How is he not caring about this? I dated Tom and found out he was part of a mafia. Not just anyone from a mafia, a mafia freaking leader! I guess I know how to fall for the bad boys. I don't mean Liam. He's such a jerk. And I'm not falling for him.

"Listen to me, I'd known even before we started dating. He was my first crush, my first boyfriend, and my first kiss. So maybe be a little more sensitive about other people's feelings!" I yelled.

His hand slammed into the table, making me and everything jump.

An older lady came in and glared at Liam. We both looked at her, but she was so focused on Liam. I'm pretty sure she didn't notice me. "Do not hit the table again, sir." She sternly said. She walked out, and we looked back at each other.

"I don't care," Liam repeated.

"When was the last time you thought about someone else's feelings besides your own?" I asked. He just stared at me. "When did you think about someone else besides you and your mafia?" I asked. Again no response. "Hello, you know if I'm being forced to live here until whenever you don't want me. So maybe you should just let me know stuff. I'm..."

"Listen to me, my life is MY business, not yours."

"Oh um... I don't care!" I mimicked Liam's words. Even in the same tone.

"What else?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes at him. He didn't even let me finish my sentence. I was going to tell him that I'm not just going to sit here and do nothing all day. I might as well help out in some way. "You know you're insensitive about things," I stated.

"Yep, I don't care now, keep talking," Liam said. I felt his hand on my wrist tighten, making me flinch. I can't believe I didn't realize his hand was still on my wrist. Especially after his hand hit the table. But I mean, he does have two hands.

"All I know is that he was in contact with a different mafia that was in England." I quickly said. Perhaps he will let go of my wrist or at least loosen the grip a little.

"Where in England?" Liam asked.

"Penzance I think."

His hand let go, and a quick smile formed on his face. "Wait, what's that on your face?" I asked.

"What?" Liam said, whipping off whatever was on his face.

"Was that...a smile?"

"Funny," Liam said. He quickly got up and just walked out.

I'd decided to help clean up dinner since it was my mess and all. The only problem with that was the people working in the kitchen, they wouldn't allow me to help. Especially the older women who I saw earlier, who scolded Liam. They quickly took the plates from me and ushered me out. I guess I'm going to bed even though I'm not an ounce tired. I shut my door and felt myself being pushed onto a nearby wall and a hand covering my mouth.

He brushed a hair out of my face and leaned into my ear, "Hello Melody."

----

Unknown POV

I need to see her. And not just on camera, but in person. She's beautiful and perfect.

"Are you crazy?" My coworker said.

I glared at him, and he looked away from me. Smart.

"I am crazy, I love her," I stated. My whole mafia knew I was in love with this girl. They thought I needed to find someone new. Well, now those who thought that...they're all dead now.

"You know what to do." I nodded to my tech guy. I only know some of their names. When Tom died, his mafia became mine. I was his right-hand man, after all. All of us hated him. They thought I'd be a better leader. Boy were they wrong.

We waited until nightfall to sneak into Liam's home. I told everyone to use tranquilizers for tonight and not to kill anyone unless we needed a way to escape. I sent two of my men into the tech room, where they'd turn the cameras off throughout the house, so I could see Melody and just tell her a few things.

All I want is to take her with me, I want only me to have eyes for her. But she has so many people who truly care for her and who would fight for her.

Her parents stayed back after seeing Mack's body at their front door with a reminder of what would happen to Melody if they tried anything. Which is why I need to wait.

"Sir, we're good to go."

I quickly and quietly raced up the stairs and waited inside her room until she was done with dinner.

I knew there was a secret way into this place. Only a few of Liam's guys knew, and the one I asked figured it out for me. It's always good to have an inside man. Too bad, I'm going to have to kill him once I take Melody and take over Liam's precious mafia. I can't have him crossing me as well. I waited on the side of the bed where I knew I wouldn't be hit by the door.

It was about ten minutes before she entered her room. Once she shut the door, I quickly grabbed her and covered her mouth. I quickly pushed her against a wall, making her panic even more.

God those eyes. So perfect and so beautiful. The moon seemed to make her eyes sparkle like an actual emerald.

A strand of hair was blocking the side of her face. So like a romantic guy I pushed it aside, but I leaned into her ear and whispered, "Hello Melody."

Her eyes seemed to have more fear come across her face as she tried screaming and moving. She had started yanking at my arm and so in a swift motion, I turned her around, having her tiny body hit my chest.

She squirmed a little bit, but one simple squeeze, and she immediately stopped.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to talk to you, that's all," I mumbled.

Her breathing became a bit faster, making my heart hurt a little bit.

I looked at the time on the clock, and it read 1:45 am.

I had one of my tech guys completely shut down the camera stuff, making sure that not a soul knew who I was by using voice recognition and stuff. I made sure to wear a mask where it was impossible to see my eye color. Sometimes even a tiny detail can give everything away.

"Now if I were you, I'd do exactly as I say or your family and Thea and any other friends you've made will die. And the only way they will see you is when you're dead...got it?" I whispered into her ear.

She shook her head in agreement to protect her family and her friends. I slowly pulled my hand from her mouth, and she didn't make a peep.

Good girl. Already becoming submissive to my orders.

I put my hand on her shoulder and turned her towards me and gave her a genuine smile.

"Good now follow me over to the closet. I promise I won't do anything to you." She seemed scared. I don't blame her, a strange man tells you to do anything he wants, and you don't know what could happen.

She didn't move an inch. I can tell she feared me and how I might hurt her. But I wouldn't and I won't. Unless she disobeys me.

I walked over to her and took a chunk of her hair and yanked her to the closet. She let out a little yelp.

Once we were both inside, she looked for an escape route. "Just take a seat over there." Pointing toward one of the chairs.

She sat down, and I pulled out four zip ties, and I could see tears falling down her face.

Once I was done, she looked at me, "What do you want from me?" She softly asked.

"I just wanted to see you, all the information I have is on a piece of paper on your bed." I'd put it on her bed before she came in.

"Please don't hurt me." She whispered while more tears streamed down her face.

"I wouldn't do that to you, Melody."

Her eyes went wide, "How do you even know my name?" She asked.

"When you're ready, I'll tell you." I smiled at her, "Before I go, you can tell Liam that nothing will stop me from what I want." I mumbled, whipping away a tear that had fallen down her face. I quickly kissed her soft lips, and she immediately pulled away. Before I left, I put a sedative into her neck. And she immediately started to fight it. She passed out after a few seconds. I put tape on her mouth in case she wakes up before Liam does. And that's also why I put a sedative in her neck. Just as I was about to leave, I turned towards her and smiled at her.

"Goodnight my love. I'll see you soon."

I don't know what I'd do if she was hurt even more by them. And if she died right here, I know I'll never be the same again. I eyed Payton closely, just as Charlie had been doing.
