Kathryn gulped, there was no way she could tell him the truth. She couldn’t tell him the main reason she took a billet for someone she barely knew but one thing was for sure, she had to get answers, answers that couldn’t be gotten had that man been shot. She inhaled deeply,

“I’ll tell you but you’ll have to answer my question first “ she told him. She was doing her possible best to divert his attention, she didn’t want him to know her plans yet. It was only after she’d gotten the answers she sought that she would confide in him.

“Tell me, what is it?” He asked. If answering any question of hers would get her to answer to the reason she’d taken a bullet for someone who wanted to ruin him, he was willing to do it.

According to him, there was no question she wanted to ask that he would have an answer to. His personal life, professional life, mafia life, he had answers to all of these questions so hence, he was willing to answer them.

Besides, what was it that she wanted to know?
