I watched as the slaves I bought were practicing their martial arts. The Lizardman was exceptional at close combat but the elven girl was falling behind and honestly that annoyed me. She was proving to be nothing but a nuisance.
We were currently in the training arena that I had made on the property. It was small but with the money, I plan to make off of my new slaves and I would be able to expand the arena.
“Master, someone called for you.” Neko smiled as she sauntered her way to me.
I ignored her like always and picked up the phone from her hand.
“What?” I questioned.
“Tesoro!” my father shouted out in glee.
I rolled my eyes and hung up and handed Neko the phone.
“Wasn't that your father?”
“Yes.”
“Are you angry with him, Master?”
“I don't have the energy to deal with him today.”
The phone in Neko's hand started to ring once again. This time, however, Neko answered.
“Hello?”
“Oh yes, sir… Very well I will let her know”
“Goodbye” Neko smiled as she hung up.
“Your father wanted me to tell you that he called to see how you were and to let you know that he loves you.” Neko smiled brightly.
I rolled my eyes and tried not to vomit at the sappy message my father left.
I continued to watch as the Elven girl fought. She was terrible and I was beginning to grow angry.
“Stop the training,” I spoke out as I stood from my chair in the audience and walked down to the actual arena.
Both trainers and their trainees stopped fighting and looked up at me. As I continued my descent on the stairs.
"You, Elven girl. What's your name?" I questioned with a strict face.
"I have non-Master." The Elven girl whispered.
"Would you like me to give you one?"
"If it pleases you, Master."
"I don't care either way. Would you like me to name you or not? You know what happens when someone names a slave."
"Well, then I... I would like a name,"
"Very well," I replied nonchalantly.
"What is your name, lizard man?" I questioned as I looked at him.
"My previous owner gave me the name of Brax before he died." The lizardman whispered as he looked down to the ground.
"Would you like me to give you a new name?"
"No Master. Please leave me with my name."
"Very well"
I walk away from them letting them start training once again. I contemplated giving the Elven girl a name.
"Master, May I make a suggestion?" Neko smiles up at me.
I don't reply. I simply look at her, allowing her to continue.
"What about, Bell”
“What makes you think I’m going to name her?”
I could hear Neko’s footsteps stop but I continued to walk. I didn’t care if she had stopped or not.
“But… but you asked her” Neko whispered as she started to run after me.
“It was simply a question.”
By now we had reached the back of the house. I opened the door and walked inside. I headed up the stairs to my room.
Once inside I shrugged off my suit jacket. I placed it on the bed and continued to undress. I had a lot of things planned for today. I had to go to Arcano’s house to speak with the lawyer and afterward we had to discuss buying a shop that was going out of business.
When I was in nothing but a pair of boxers and a bra, Neko barged in.
“Master. Please forgive me. It’s just I can’t stop thinking about it. Please Master, can’t we keep her?” Neko whined as she walked to me.
“Neko, do you know how knocking works?”
“My apologies Master, It’s just I can't stop thinking about her.”
“Very well, If you want me to keep her then, I will sell you.”
Neko looked at me with a shocked expression.
“W-What?” She almost screeched.
“Take her place. You want her to stay with me so bad. Why?”
“Because you would treat her better than any of the old men who would want her. At Least while in your care she would be safe.” Neko exclaimed with tears in her eyes.
“Very well then, you will take her place. Are you prepared to do that?” I questioned without a bit of remorse.
“Y-Yes,” Neko whispered.
“You would be fine with leaving me? I thought you wanted to Marry me?” I teased as I looked at her.
Neko held tears in her eyes as she looked at me.
“More than anything!” Neko cried out with a hopeful look on her face.
“But I know what the Slave Trade is like for girls like her and I don’t want to see her become someone like me.” Neko added.
I sighed in frustration.
“How annoying.” I bit out as I placed a shirt on and walked out of the room.
I could hear Neko’s footsteps behind me.
“Do you plan on following me everywhere today?” I bit out in anger.
“I wish to spend the last days with you Master. I want to cherish every moment I have left before I am sold.” Neko whispered.
“You are not going anywhere Neko.” I sighed as I rubbed my temple.
I tried to rub out the headache that this damn cat was giving me.
“But what about-”
“She will stay too. I will give her a name. Just get out of my sight!” I ordered as I walked away from her.
I didn’t hear Neko following me as I made my way to my office and I thanked God that she had finally decided to leave me alone.

My phone rang making me slightly jump. I looked at the caller Id and dread fell upon me. The name on the phone laughed up at me with glee. ‘Arcano Salvatore’ I groaned as the phone continued to ring.
I quickly pushed the end button but soon the phone started to ring once again almost in a mocking way. I groaned louder as I picked up the phone and growled into it.
“What is it Arcano” I bit out in annoyance.
“Tesoro! I’ve missed you!” My father’s happy voice rang through the other line.
“We talked a couple of hours ago.”
“No, you hung up on me a couple of hours ago. Then I spoke with Neko.”
“What do you want?”
“Come have dinner with me. I feel lonely.” My father all but cried out.
I was way past annoyed now. How in the Hell was he the most feared Drug Lord in the States? How. Just how?! This was mind-boggling.
“Call Nicoli to join you. I’m busy”
“I want to spend time with my daughter, not that old fart!” My father complained.
In the background, I could hear noise, and then came the sound of a door slamming.
“Plus Nicoli is angry with me.”
“He just left didn’t he?” I sighed.
“He said he wasn’t an old fart but I call it as I see it.” My father chuckled into the phone.
“If I have dinner with you will you stop calling me?”
“I promise that I will stop calling this whole week if you come over tonight to have dinner. And bring Neko! I love her lasagna! You know she makes it almost as good as your grandmother-”
I quickly hung up the phone before he could continue talking. I closed my laptop and rose from my desk. I stretched out and walked out of my office. I was making my way toward the kitchen when I spotted the Elven slave.
“It’s good to see you, Master.” She whimpered at me.
“How did your training go?”
“I improved a bit. Is it true that you aren’t going to name me?” She whispered.
“Starting today your new name is Ayla,” I spoke as I walked away from her.
“Th-Thank you Master!” Ayla yelled in happiness.
I didn’t reply but continued my search for a very annoying cat.
“Welcome Home Young Miss” Giovanni smiled as he bowed to me. “Giovanni” I acknowledged as I made my way inside. “Tesoro!” My father smiled as he walked down the hall. “Arcano, stop calling me that.” I sighed in annoyance. “Must you always be such a sourpuss?” My father grumbled as he pulled me into a hug. I placed my right hand on my father’s back, feigning a hug back. “Good Evening Neko” Arcano smiled as he let me go and pulled Neko into a hug. “Good Evening Mr. Salvatore” Neko smiled as I rolled my eyes at their interaction. Neko engulfed my father in a warm hug and almost seemed like they melted into each other. “Who is this?” “G-Good Evening Sir. My name is Ayla and I am Miss Bella's Slave.” Ayla smiled and bowed down to show my father respect. “You are such a sweetheart” My father smiled. “She is an Elven slave and as of right now, she is under Salvatore protection. Unless you have a problem with that Arcano.” “Not at all my Darling Tesoro.” “Very well sin
I sat in silence. The noise of the windshield wipers filled the empty car. I was waiting for Ayla and Neko to get out so we could go home. I had gone through enough human interaction for one day.My hands found their way to the radio button, the music filled the car leaving the noise of the windshield wipers behind. I sighed and closed my eyes. I leaned my head back against the headrest. The sounds of the doors to the car opening and closing made me painfully aware that someone had climbed in.Expecting to see Neko and Ayla in the car I was surprised when my eyes met my father’s. A scowl found its way to my face as I stared at him.“You can't hate me forever Tesoro.”
"Buon compleanno Tesoro" My father smiled at me as he wished me a happy birthday. "Thank you, Arcano" I simply replied. "Perché non mi chiami papà?" My father replied in a hurt tone. "You know why Arcano, and please stop speaking Italian, we both know very well you speak English," I replied nonchalantly. "Must you always be so serious?" "I was born this way and I shall die this way," I replied as I took a seat at the dinner table. “Where is everyone?” I questioned as I looked around the empty dining room. “They had errands to run, Tesoro.” My father smiled at me. “Stop It.” “Stop what?” “I know damn well you are planning a birthday party for me. I don’t do parties and you know it” I sighed in annoyance. “Don’t be ridiculous, I would never throw you a surprise birthday party.” “You are lying through your teeth Arcano.” I spat as I rose from my seat and headed out of the door in search of my father’s henchmen. “Nicoli! Giancarlo!” I yelled out looking for my fa
“Starting today you will be living in this house with me. Your room is down the hall. If you have a specific food that you like please let me know so I can have it delivered here. I’ll order some clothes for you. Until then I’ll find you something to wear.” I spoke out nonchalantly as I walked into my home. “What should I call you?” Neko whispered. “Master,” I replied curtly and made my way to the kitchen. “Are there any specific skills that you have?” I questioned as I felt Neko following me. “I can play the piano.” “Anything useful?” I added in annoyance.
“Master! Your home!” Neko yelled as I opened the front door of the house and walked in. Nicoli who was with me walked in behind me and shut the door making sure to lock it. I could hear Neko running down the stairs as she stomped on each step. I thought cats had light footsteps. Nicoli and I walked into the living room and I simply sat on the couch. Nicoli followed and sat next to me. “Has the pantherean woman started to adjust to her role here in the home?” Nicoli questioned. “I would like to think so. So far she has cooked multiple meals and so far has kept the house clean.” I replied as I stood from my seat and walked towards the mini-bar I had in the living room.
