"Juan ...."
Orella, who had just woken up, screamed. She continued to scream hysterically, calling her brother's name. When she remembered the incident that night, she would go crazy and destroy everything near her.
She almost hurt herself. Some people came into her room, and they held her tightly.
"Let go of me! Don't block me! I want to find Juan!" Orella shouted as she tried to free herself from the grip of her father's guards.
She kept struggling and trying to free herself. However, the harder she tried, the tighter the guards held her.
"Miss Orella, calm down! Let Mr. Juan be at ease!" said a guard who could not bear to look at her.
"You're lying! Juan, he's alive! Hurry up and help me look for him!" said Orella, who still thought that her brother was alive.
"Orella Daria Maldini! Stop calling his names!" growled a middle-aged man who had just walked into the room.
"This is all your fault! If you'd just come looking for us none of this would have happened, Dad!" Orella said.
She took out all her resentment and anger on her father. Orella was sure that the people who attacked her that night were her father's enemies. She continued to blame her father.
"Don't come any closer!" shouted Orella when she saw her father stepping towards her.
However, the father kept walking and was finally in front of her. The father's piercing gaze made her fall silent and stop struggling.
"Juan, it's gone. Is your punishment for me not enough?" asked her father, changing the daughter's piercing gaze with a look of regret.
The father kept saying his apologies for not being able to protect his daughter. Even his daughter was almost killed by her enemy one year ago. This time, he showed his fragility as he had been showing his firmness and coldness.
"I'm sorry," the father apologized to his daughter again as he hugged her after the guards released Orella.
Orella ended up crying in her father's arms. She also said that she was a stupid woman who couldn't protect her brother. After calming down, she finally stopped crying.
"I'm sorry that I've caused you trouble in the past year," Orella said to her father.
"You are my only daughter. After Juan passed away I thought of making you the head of the Maldini family. However, if you don't want to be in the underworld then I will let you go."
Orella was silent as she heard everything her father said. She knew that Juan was her father's hope to take his place in the three great underground families.
She looked at her father. She felt even more guilty that she had caused so much trouble for her father over the past year.
"Orella, do you know who was behind the attack? If only that night I managed to catch the man who was about to finish you off. Maybe I would've ...."
"I don't know who that man is," Orella interrupted before her father could continue.
The father sighed and said, "Never mind. We don't need to talk about it anymore. Now get ready, you have to come with me to a party."
Orella couldn't resist her father's wishes, so she nodded. Then, she saw her father stand up and walk out of the room.
Not too long after her father's departure, some servants came into her room. They helped her to get ready. Her father had prepared a red dress.
After finishing getting ready, Orella came out of her room. She went down the stairs and saw her father, who kept looking at her.
"You look just like your mother," said the father as he continued to look at his daughter.
Orella smiled at her father's words, although she had only seen her mother's face through photos or paintings at home. Her mother had passed away when she was three years old.
"Let's go," The father said as he walked out and got into the car, followed by Orella.

Orella and her father arrive at the party venue, where tonight's party was held at Ludovic's residence. There are already many guests present there. Orella sees that the security is so tight that it is certain that if an intruder enters, only the body will come out.
"Ilario Maldini, can you come with me? We have something to talk about," said a middle-aged man in a stern tone.
"Go! There's no need to worry about me," said Orella, who saw her father looking at her as if seeking her approval.
Orella took a drink after her father left. She calmly enjoyed the drink until she saw someone who made her remember the incident a year ago.
Without thinking, she followed the man. Her steps stopped when someone pointed a gun at her from behind.
"No need to fight! Come with me!" the man said in a pressing tone.
Orella smiled at the man's threat. She followed him because she wanted to know what the man who had dared to threaten her wanted.
She went into a room, and the man closed the door tightly. In front of her, Orella saw a man sitting on a sofa with his face covered by a mask.
"What do you want? So you dare to threaten me? Aren't you afraid of death?" asked Orella as she approached the masked man.
The man grinned and said, "If I die then you won't know who was behind your brother's death."
Orella was surprised when she heard what the masked man said. She got closer to the man and looked at him intently. All the while, she finds out about the man in front of her.
"Who is that man?" Orella asked the masked man.
"The killer is at the party tonight. I'm sure you can recognize him."
The masked man continued to tell Orella about several things. So Orella became even more curious about the man in front of her because he knew a lot of things about the person who had killed her brother.
The man who threatened Orella just now handed her a photo. Orella took the photo and saw a man with a sharp, haughty gaze.
"This man is the same as that night," muttered Orella, who actually still remembered the face of the man who was about to finish her off.
"Apparently you still remember him. So all this time you were pretending to forget about it," the masked man continued after he heard what Orella muttered.
"Who exactly is he?" asked Orella.
Orella saw the man smiling and replied, "You'd better hurry back to the party room because he should already be there waiting for you."
"What?"
"You know what he wants? If you're scared, then you'd better avoid him and get out of here as soon as possible," the masked man replied. He got up and took a few steps forward so that he could be very close to Orella.
Orella reflexively backed away because the masked man was so close to her face. And the oppressive aura of the man slightly raised her level of alertness.
"Be careful! He's been waiting a year to meet you," the masked man whispered, and then he walked out of the room.
"Interesting... I'd like to see how far that guy can go," Orella muttered with a grin as she left the room and headed straight for the party room.
"What's going on?" muttered Orella when she saw the commotion after she entered the party room. She approached the direction of the commotion because she heard the voice of someone she recognized. Orella stopped her steps once she had a clear view. Orella saw the woman in the yellow dress slap the woman in the white dress so hard. She was fed up with what was happening in front of her. Without thinking, she took a few steps forward and slapped the woman in yellow back twice as hard as the woman in white. "Orella, you!" screeched the woman in the yellow dress in an irritated tone. Without responding, Orella slapped the woman in the yellow dress again. She didn't care at all about everyone watching her. "I told you not to, Olivia Vedetta! So that you don't have to show your weakness to this pair of rotten humans!" Orella said in a cold tone to the woman in the white dress in front of her. "You crazy woman! What did you come here for? Do you want to ruin Mr. Ludovic's party?" i
"Did I hear wrong?" asked a man who had been in the room all along. However, he was only paying attention to the one in front of him. Orella looked in the direction of the man's voice, and the man approached her. She was shocked when she saw the man's face, and her blood boiled even more when he was near her. "Of course I want her. This woman must enter the Ludovic family. Nothing can stop me!" said the old man as he looked at the young man beside him. The young man again expressed his disagreement with what the older man, who was none other than his father, wanted. While they were arguing, Orella just stared at the man with mounting anger. She clenched her hands into fists to hold back her emotions so as not to cause any more trouble for her father or the Maldini family. "I'm willing to join the family, Ludovic," said Orella, surprising everyone in the room, including her father. "Honey, say it again! Did I hear you wrong?" Ilario asked his daughter. "I am willing to marry
Orella was already in her back garden. The guests had attended her wedding to Dante Laurenzo Ludovic. She saw her father standing waiting for her, holding out his hand. She accepted her father's hand and said, "There's no need to worry about me. Believe that I can protect you." "I'm not willing to sacrifice you," continued the father. "No! Don't do that! Do you want to see this house filled with the blood of innocent people?" Orella pleaded with the intention of blocking her father, who was about to pull out his gun. Orella didn't want her house to be flooded with the blood of innocent people. She saw some people who had nothing to do with her family's problems, and she saw her best friend, who was at this party. "Dad, I still don't remember the man from that night. But I'm going to find out everything. I won't stop finding out who the person was who killed Juan that night," Orella spoke to her father. Orella did all that to make her father calm down a bit. So as not to start a
"You?" Orella instantly drew her dagger and released the man. She recognized the man she had been struggling with. She took a step back and sat down on a nearby sofa. "You seem to know every corner of the Ludovic family residence," Orella said as she looked at the man in front of her. She couldn't possibly forget that man because he had brought her to meet the masked man that night. Orella was still staring at the man as she waited for him to say something. "My master gave me orders to give this to you," the man said as he handed Orella an envelope. After that, he left the room quietly. Orella frowned as she felt that the man was indeed part of the Ludovic family. Her curiosity grew about the man and the masked man. Without opening the envelope, she ran out of the room. She immediately followed the man. She easily managed to follow him and arrived at a garden. "Is that where he's hiding?" Orella muttered as she continued following the man until she was near a vine-made maze. S
Orella tried to stay awake, but the drowsiness was getting to her. And finally, she fell asleep next to Dante. Finally, someone's shout woke her up. "Get ready!" Dante said after he saw Orella wake up. Then he walked towards the bathroom. Meanwhile, Orella was still sitting on the bed. Not so long ago, she heard the shout of the person who had woken her up. She also saw Dante, who had just come out of the bathroom. "What are you waiting for? Get ready!" Dante ordered Orella. Orella didn't respond to Dante's words even though she was annoyed by the man's tone. However, in the back of her mind, she was grumbling and still curious about the person who had been yelling until this moment. She had finished preparing and saw Dante sitting on the sofa. She felt that he was waiting for her. "Come with me!" Dante said in a flat tone as he got up and walked out of the room. Orella followed him and didn't ask many questions until she arrived at the gazebo in the back garden. She saw two me
"Are they following me?" muttered Orella after she realized a car was following her. To dispel her suspicion, she increased the speed of her car, made a turn, and then turned back around. She was slightly relieved after not seeing the car anymore, until finally, she arrived at an abandoned building, just as her friend had said. "I hope I'm not too late," Orella said as she walked towards the building in front of her. She saw several men approaching her. They unceremoniously attacked her. However, Orella could not be taken down easily. Instead, the men fell on the dusty floor. "This kind of ability is no match for me," Orella said as she walked deeper into the building. She climbed the stairs because she heard her friend's voice. She stopped her steps for a moment and went back to listening to some people talking. Orella smiled as she walked back and approached them all. "Am I late?" asked Orella, surprising everyone in front of her. "Ah... your friends are idiots! They can't st
Orella stopped the car when her cell phone rang. She saw that the number calling her was her father. She immediately picked up the phone and listened to everything her father said. "Okay. I'm going home now," Orella said to her father on the other end of the line, and then she disconnected the phone. She got back into the car and turned around. It wasn't long before she arrived at her father's house. Orella went straight to her father, who was in his workspace. "Dad, what's going on?" Orella asked her father after she entered the workspace. "Sit down!" The father replied as he got up and walked to the sofa. Then he sat there. Orella nodded and sat down on the sofa across from her father. She looked up at her father, trying to figure out what he wanted. "What is it?" Orella asked her father again as he just looked at her without speaking. "Are they giving you a hard time?" The father replied with another question to his daughter. "I'm fine. I'm not a weak woman who is easily i
"Am I crazy to want to kill you? Just look at that guy attacking me and my men, too!" Gia shouted as she ran behind the car to take cover. Orella also believed what Gia said because, one by one, the woman's men were shot. She tried to stay calm and find the position of the person who was shooting at her. "Give me a gun!" Orella shouted to anyone who was nearby. A man immediately threw a gun at her. Orella quickly managed to catch the gun. She was ready to shoot at the man who kept raining bullets. "There you are," Orella said with a smile as she pulled the trigger of the gun in her hand. The bullet shot towards the person who had been shooting at her. She waited for a while. She stood up but was still wary of the enemy, who suddenly stopped shooting at her. 'There's no way my bullet will hit him, right? "Orella asked herself. "They're gone," a man said, pointing at a car that was leaving the scene. Orella stood up and came out of her shelter. She looked at the spot where she h
"Tell me who you are?" The masked man asked Orella again. Orella remained silent as she looked into the rearview mirror of her motorcycle. She thought maybe the man hadn't realized that his mask was off. Now, what she was curious about was why the man was doing all this to her. She saw the man get off his bike and pick up his phone. Orella stayed where she was because a few seconds earlier, she saw an enemy car pass by. "You can act already! I'll be waiting for you at the point I sent you!" the man said to the person on the other end of the line. After that, he disconnected the phone. Without saying much more, Orella immediately started her motorcycle and left the man behind. She wondered if the man's men would arrive soon to pick him up. "What exactly is your purpose in doing all this?" Orella muttered as she continued to drive her motorcycle at a high speed. Finally, Orella arrived at an apartment. It was hers, and no one knew about it except Silvia and her brother Juan. She
"Orella, I've gotten new information about the woman your father is currently close to," Silvia told Orella. "Tell me!" continued Orella as she put on the earrings and the necklace. Now, she was preparing to attend a ceremony organized by her company. No one knew the business she was running, not even Dante or her father. "So what are you going to do? Would you approve of your father being with that woman?" Silvia asked Orella after finishing telling her all the information about Miranda. Orella didn't answer Silvia's question even though her best friend gave her information that didn't endanger her father or her family. However, she still couldn't fully trust Miranda, who wanted to take her mother's place in her father's heart or home. "You tell them to keep an eye on that woman. And keep finding out all the information about her. I'm sure there's something still hidden," Orella told Silvia. "Okay. I'll tell my people," Silvia replied. Orella heard Silvia's cell phone ring. Sh
Dante was still trying to find out about the secret Orella and Juan were hiding. However, he couldn't get Orella to tell him, and she fell asleep in Dante's arms. Orella wakes up in the morning as the sunlight dazzles her eyes. She is transfixed by the sight of Dante asleep next to her, and she gently pulls her hand away from his chest. "What happened?" murmured Orella, whose last memory was of seeing the little girl who could no longer be saved. She heard Dante's cell phone ring, and Orella pretended to be asleep. She felt Dante move, probably to get his cell phone. It wasn't long before she heard him talking to the person on the other end of the line. "I don't care if the Maldini family's small business is destroyed," Dante said to the person on the other end of the line. Dante's words startled Orella, and she immediately changed her body position so that she was on top of the man's body. She stared intently at Dante, but he smiled coldly. "Stop that plan! Otherwise, you'll re
"Stay where you are! And don't move!" Dante told Orella again and pulled the trigger of his gun. The bullet whizzed towards Orella, but Dante could tell that it didn't hit her. The shot was right on target: a man behind Orella and about to finish her off. Dante walked over to Orella, who was still standing. Reflexively, he held Orella, who was about to fall. He carried the woman, who was currently unconscious. "You take care of that intruder! Get all the information from him!" Dante ordered the man in front of him. Dante walked into the house while continuing to carry Orella. Occasionally, he looked at the face of the woman who wanted his destruction and death. "You're still weak. I don't know if you can take the backlash," Dante said as he walked into the room and laid Orella on the couch. He walked to the bathroom and grabbed a dry towel. Then he grabbed his T-shirt. Dante approached Orella again and individually took off her dirty and wet clothes. Then, he dried Orella's body
