Guillermo was jealous of the power Stefano was wielding and saw that he was in a vulnerable state, in search of a strange girl. He felt that was the perfect time to talk his brother into dropping his power as he was incapable at the moment. But he needed an idea that could drive his brother to the point of transferring his authority.

“I must go meet Lucas, he would just know the right thing for me to do.”

Guillermo thought to himself as he set out for the Morano's gang base at dusk so he wouldn't be seen by any of the KING gang members. He journeyed discreetly and met with Lucas, the Morano's gang leader who was a betrayer of his dad. Lucas was once his late dad's best friend.

Guillermo got to their base and entered through the narrow gate, they welcomed him into the inner chambers where Lucas dwells.

“I have been expecting you, son,” Lucas said as Guillermo approached him.

“Expecting me?” Guillermo asked in shock.

“Yes, of course, you may have your seat.”

Guillermo, still in shock, sat down and allowed Lucas to speak.

“I suspect you want to overthrow your brother and that's what brings you here.”

Guillermo couldn't believe his ears, he expected Lucas to know but not that detailed.

“Oh, you are shocked. I told you I have eyes everywhere.” Lucas laughed out loud as he said the words with boldness.

“So what can I do?” Guillermo asked curiously.

“Well, go back to your base. Get to lure your brother here and leave it to me.” He gave an evil smile.

“How would I do that?” Guillermo asked again.

“Tell him I have the girl he is looking for, he will come right at me.”

“You have the strange lady here at your base?” Guillermo couldn't believe his ears.

“Good day, we never met!” Lucas said as he stood up and left the chambers asking his gang to escort Guillermo out.

Guillermo was filled with so much excitement as he went back to the base. He didn't get to think deeply about the plan because he just wanted his brother out of power.

He met Stefano staring at the corridor and decided to approach him.

“Why are you in such a hurry?” Stefano asked in concern.

“You won't believe this, I just got information from someone at the market that the gangs took the strange lady you sought to find.

“What? That's impossible. How dare he do that?”

Stefano raged in anger hearing the news from his brother. He couldn't hide or contain his emotions as he called out for Vincent.

“Are you sure, brother?”

“Absolutely!”

Stefano left Guillermo in the corridor in a hurry and Vincent came right behind him.

“My lord, what's the matter?” Vincent asked.

Stefano took a pause and answered with so much anger in his voice.

“That scumbag, Lucas took the lady I had been looking for all these months.”

Vincent took a while to process the information because it didn't seem to add up to him and he was less angry so he could think.

“I don't think that can be possible my lord, who told you such information?”

“Do you dare question my judgment? Are you in turn calling my brother a liar? A word from you and I would slit your throat.” Stefano raged as he started gathering the weapons he needed for their journey.

“I am sorry, My lord.” Vincent immediately apologized.

“That's better, go inform the others. We move in an hour.”

Vincent perceived something was wrong but who was he to counter the words of Stefano?

******

They were all ready for the journey to be led by Stefano. They carried the fastest cars, and the most recent weapons and went on the trip.

Guillermo stayed back and posed around like the new leader of KING. He sat on the chair of his brother Stefano as though he was now in charge, celebrating his victory and most likely his brother's death.

Stefano didn't mind that Guillermo stayed back from the journey, he needed a representative back at KING.

Stefano unknowingly ran into an ambush with the best of his men at the Morano's base.

He was deceived by Lucas' men that he was in a chamber only to find out that only armed men were there and no Lucas in sight. Stefano was much more angry that he got into a fight with them. It was a fierce fight between Lucas' men and his men and it led to a mass killing of gang members.

“Where is he?” Stefano asked while he fought with one of Lucas' men.

“I have no answers for you.” He fiercely replied to Stefano.

The fight went on for about an hour and the whole place was filled with blood. Still, Lucas was out of sight.

“You are looking for me?” Lucas asked as he came into the chamber.

“You son of a bitch!” Stefano raged towards Lucas with anger to kill him.

They began to fight with all sense of brutality, Stefano was ready to kill him.

“Oh, you fight just because of a lady. You are getting soft, how petty!” Lucas said as he tried to anger Stefano more.

Stefano used force on Lucas that led him to the floor as he put a knife in his throat.

“Where is she?” Stefano asked in rage.

“She isn't here stupid, but I feel you should be more concerned about who she is?” Lucas said as he laughed out loud.

“I don't need a word from you. You're a damn liar.”

“Well, this might interest you. She is the daughter of Simon, your father's murderer.”

“You're a liar, you coward.” Stefano objected.

“Her eyes, doesn't that ring a bell?”

Stefano dropped down the knife in shock as everyone went still. He couldn't believe his ears.

“The lady whom he desires was meant to be his sworn enemy.”

“No!” Stefano shouted in rage.

He stayed down, watching Stefano with wary, calculating eyes.Stefano ran a hand through his disheveled hair, wincing when his fingers grazed a forming bruise on his temple. “So,” he muttered, spitting blood onto the rough cobblestones. “A ditch. That’s where you started?”Vincent wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then slowly sat up. He nodded. “That’s all I remember. • The Mafia and his personal Slave   Teresa Is Dead

Teresa’s POV The air in the warehouse was thick with tension, the kind that made men sweat even in the dead of winter. A single dim bulb flickered above, casting uneven shadows on the concrete walls, making the blood already smeared on the floor look darker. The scent of gunpowder lingered from a previous death, this wasn’t the first life taken here today. It wouldn’t be the last.Carlo knelt on the cold ground, arms bound tightly behind his back, his face swollen and streaked with blood. His left eye was nearly swollen shut, his lip split open. Someone had already brutalized him before Vendetta even arrived. But torture wasn’t the punishment. Death was.And Carlo knew it."Please," he gasped, voice hoarse, barely above a whisper. "Boss, please, I... I have a family, I didn’t know... "Vendetta remained silent, watching him from her seat. She wasn’t slouched like a woman at ease, nor was she rigid. She sat perfectly composed, the kind of stillness that was unnatural, a calm demeanour

The cold night air did nothing to cool the heat surging between them, their breaths coming in harsh, ragged gasps.Vincent wiped his nose with the back of his sleeve, smearing blood across his skin. His dark eyes, once calculating and sharp, held something else now, a flicker of uncertainty, confusion, but mostly, rage.Stefano barely had time to think before Vincent lunged again. This time, it wasn’t about technique. It was raw, feral. A ragged street fight between two men. They crashed into the ground, rolling, fists slamming against ribs, knuckles splitting against bone. The knife Vincent had once held clattered against the pavement, forgotten as they devolved into a savage, desperate brawl.Stefano’s body was screaming at him to stop. His muscles ached, his ribs burned from the hits Vincent had landed earlier, and his breath came out in short, sharp bursts.Too weak. The

He had believed that Vincent had betrayed him. That he had chosen Guillermo over him.But after what he saw yesterday, a new possibility gnawed at him. Had Vincent also been cast aside? • The Mafia and his personal Slave   Vincent

Stefano's POV Stefano walked away from the market, the weight of the money in his pocket feeling insignificant compared to the storm raging in his mind. His thoughts were consumed by what he had just seen.Vincent.The name burned in his mind, rekindling an anger he had tried to smother for five years. Stefano had believed... no, had known that Vincent had betrayed him, that he had abandoned their loyalty, sided with his brother, and left him to rot. It had been one of the many knives in his back that had led to his downfall.Yet today, he had seen something else. Vincent wasn’t working for Guillermo. He wasn’t standing at his brother’s side, reveling in his victory. He was someone else’s dog now. Just remind them who they’re paying for protection, understood?"Stefano let out a slow sigh, his fingers tightening around the worn leather of his jacket. He hated his job, shaking down struggling merchants for scraps, but he didn’t have the luxury of choice. Not anymore."Understood," he muttered back, shoving the phone into his pocket. He pulled the hood of his jacket over his head, adjusting his cap lower over his face. Five years ago, people would have bowed at his feet in fear. Now, he walked among them like a ghost, blending into the filth of Rome’s underworld, just another nobody trying to survive. The market district was bustling, the scent of fresh bread, roasting chestnuts, and cheap perfume mingling in the air.
