Violet's POV

After defying Vincenzo's order after he told me not to worry about helping Mrs Maria serve breakfast, I did and after serving him and his uncle he asked me to come and have breakfast with him.

With His uncle there I felt very uncomfortable but I managed to comport myself.

As I returned from the kitchen, Vincenzo hadn't started eating yet. He was waiting for me. I smiled at him, a facade to hide my nervousness.

Vincenzo stood up and drew out a chair for me to sit, I sat and he did same, my eyes moved from Vincenzo to his uncle, I won't ignore his presence even if I don't really like him, I know he is doing his job.

“Good morning, Uncle Erico,” I greeted him and he smiled. I was surprised to see him break character. This man never smiles, like since I've known him, he is always about business and the Mafia.
