“Are you sure this is alright, Liza?” Liza’s manager and friend, Rona, asked worriedly.
“Oh, come on, Rona! Stop acting like this is my first time doing something like this. Stop being a wimp! You’re ruining the mood,” Liza answered while scanning the club’s dance floor.
“I can’t help myself, okay? Your career is starting to get good, and I don’t want anything to derail it.”
“I’ve been doing this for a long time, Rona; have these ever caused you or the company any problems?”
“That’s because I’ve been cleaning up your mess, making sure that no one knows about this habit of yours. Besides, you’re no longer a C-lister, Liza. You’re now a B-lister; we must ensure you stay on that or even more. Didn’t you want to be an A-lister? Unless you’ve already changed your mind and want to return to being a nameless, unpopular, and low-class celebrity who only appears on variety shows.”
Liza’s ears perked up, not liking what Rona had said.
Out of everyone who knows her, Rona is the one who knows how badly she wants to be on top. Rona knew how badly she desired to be an A-list celebrity and was willing to go to any length to achieve that goal. And so, hearing Rona say those words completely irritated her.
So before she could say something that would cause them to fight, she stood up and headed to the dance floor, leaving Rona calling her name.
The moment Liza stepped onto the dance floor, a swarm of men immediately surrounded her, vying for her attention and hoping that she would choose one of them, and she couldn’t help but be giddy with the attention she was receiving.
Some men are familiar to her. They are the men she shared the bed with for one night, and the others are the men she sees every time she walks into the club. They, like her, frequent the club. While the few are the ones she hasn’t seen before. And because she sees new faces, Liza thinks she should make a good impression on them.
She started dancing gracefully yet seductively while scanning the faces of the new men who surrounded her, but none were her type.
‘I’ll go home without removing my dress tonight, huh?’ That’s what Liza thought until she noticed a man sitting on the bar counter, just a few steps away from where she had recently sat, staring at her with a hint of desire and seduction in his eyes.
Liza has never seen him before.
‘He, too, must be new,’ she thought.
The man is undoubtedly attractive and seductive enough to pique her interest. And only a fool would not notice him with the way he stares.
She is confident that the man desires her. And he’s exactly her type. The man appeared to be a good bed companion as well.
That’s why Liza didn’t flake anymore. She made her way toward the man at the bar counter while still dancing in the most seductive way she knew. Her lips curved in a seductive grin as she gracefully swayed her hips. Liza can feel the warm and passionate stares of the men looking at her, while the looks the women give her are full of jealousy and envy, and only a few seem to admire her.
When Liza was right before the man, she ground her waist even more without separating her gaze from the man’s seemingly teasing and lustful look. Liza moved closer to the man, sitting with his legs crossed and a glass of liquor in his right hand, until Liza, still dancing to the rhythm, felt the man’s knees on her navel.
Liza leaned forward with her hands on each side of the man, holding onto the bar counter and her lips almost touching the man’s ear. “Hey, sexy, mind taking me back to the dance floor?” she asked sexily.
Liza raised one of her eyebrows when she received no response from the man. ‘Was I mistaken? Wasn’t it desire and seduction in his eyes when he looked at me? Didn’t he want me?’ But her thoughts were interrupted when the man stood straight, wrapped his arms around her waist, and pulled her closer to his body, just enough for him to lean forward a little and whisper in her ear, “How about we just take this to bed? I don’t like how these bastards stare at you like hungry beasts who just saw their prey and want to taste it.”
Liza did not immediately respond to what the man said. She was still too shocked because of what he had done that all she could ever do was just stare at the man’s handsome face, and the guy seemed to be impatient because just a few seconds after Liza couldn’t answer, he spoke again, “So, what is it, woman? Would you like to be in the same bed as me? Or not? I cannot wait until morning.” The man’s hot breath is fawning on Liza’s ear, making her body hairs stand on end. The man’s voice and how he speaks sound enchanting and enthralling. It was so seductive. It was so hot that Liza could not hear and comprehend the sound of possessiveness and danger in the man’s voice. And it was also because of that alluring and seductive tone that Liza could only nod in response to the man’s question, not even having a second thought about it, not knowing what the outcome of her answer might be. Liza felt the man grinning before whispering in her ear, “Good answer, woman,” with satisfaction in his voice.
Liza immediately caught her breath when the man let go of her lips. The stranger pinned her to the wall of the private room he had fixed for them. When she nodded in response to the man's question, he immediately took one of her hands and pulled her towards one of the club's private rooms. The private rooms are designed specifically for club customers and clients who want to have fun and do the dirty, as Liza and the man are doing and are about to do. The man's mouth moved from her lips to her neck and collarbone while his hands moved towards her legs, pulling down her undergarment. Every move the man makes is hurried. It's as if he can't wait any longer to get his hands on her. Liza pushed the man away with her palm on his shoulders, forcing him to stop doing things with her body. The man then looked at her, puzzled. "Don't tell me you're scared now," the man says, breathing labored. "It's not that. I just want to know your name first because knowing it might come in handy wheneve
I just wanted to let you know that the setting of this novel is in the Philippines, so there may be some words, places, and expressions that are unfamiliar to you all. To avoid any confusion, I will include some words with their definitions and explanations. Here are some of the words that may appear in the book: Ate - means "Older Sister" and refers to an older female relative or respected friend (especially one's own sister or kapatid). It's similar to the Japanese Onee-chan and the Korean Unnie. Let me also point out that you can call anyone ate, including strangers, as long as they are female and a little older than you. Kuya - means "Older Brother" and refers to an older male relative or respected friend (especially one's own brother or kapatid). In Korean, it's equivalent to Oppa or Hyung. Similarly to Ate, you can use Kuya regardless of whether or not he is a brother. Tita - Auntie Tito - Uncle Lola - Grandmother. Lolo - Grandfather About the Showbiz/Show Business Indus
“So you still think of coming home? I thought you’d already decided to flee with whoever you had sex with,” Rona said as soon as Liza opened the door of her home. Liza was no longer surprised to see Rona inside her house. It has already been over a month since she decided to give Rona a spare key because she trusted her, and she comes to her house almost every day to pick her up after the shootings and take her home. Since then, Rona has practically lived in her house, and Liza hasn’t cared. Liza walked into her house, exhausted. “Can you save the nagging for later, Rona? I’m tired,” she said as she walked to the kitchen to get a water bottle to quench her thirst. “Wow! Really, Liza? Is that all you’ll say to me after everything you’ve put me through? Do you even know what time it is? Or do you even remember that you were supposed to be in a photoshoot with Mr. Herrera three hours ago?” Rona exclaimed, frustrated. Liza knew she had made a huge mistake. Mr. Herrera is a well-known p
Liza didn’t take her eyes off Hunter, who was busy looking around the living room of her house. The two of them were sitting on the couch facing each other, while Hunter’s two male companions were just outside the broken door of her home. “Not bad,” Hunter commented, turning his gaze back to her, which she immediately met. “For a B-list celebrity, this house is not bad.” “Should I take that as a compliment or what? And how did you find my house?” “It seems like what we did last didn’t take a toll on your body since you can still run your mouth like that.” Liza wanted to laugh. The fucking they had did not affect her body? Does he even remember what he did to her body? He covered her in hickeys, and she still felt the pain in her womanhood, breasts, and thighs. And the sexing they did took a toll not only on her body but also on her fucking career! But she won’t say it out loud. She won’t tell Hunter that the fucking they did wreak havoc on her life. Because Liza has this feeling th
“Aaah!” That loud cry of a man filled an abandoned building. “Did I not tell this motherfucker to be quiet?” A man wearing a black coat and tie shouted in disgust, then punched the bloodied face of the man crying while sitting tied to a wooden chair. The chair the man was sitting on nearly fell over due to the vital force of the blow that the man in the black coat delivered, but his two male coworkers were quick to grab hold of it and stop it so that it wouldn’t fall entirely. Then the guy holding the left side of the wooden chair grabbed the crying man’s hair and pulled it upwards so that it would meet the eyes of the man in the black coat. “How can you be so fucking loud when you’re crying but become quiet when I ask? Do you just want me to make you quiet forever?” The man in the coat asked, terrifying the bloodied man. The man, whose face was swollen and bleeding, spoke in a shaky and tiny voice, “Have mercy on me, Jaguar... Please give me another chance.” But the man couldn’t f
“You were close to killing him, boss,” Leon commented as he and Hunter got far away from Jaguar and their people. Hunter was walking straight ahead towards the car, while Leon was just behind him. “You shouldn’t have come. You should have let Jaguar do his job. There wasn’t even a need for you to come in the first place. I could even have supervised them if you don’t trust Jaguar.” “I trust Jaguar, Leon.” Hunter interrupted what Leon was saying. “All I wanted was someone or something to vent my pent-up rage, and that traitor is the best we have.” “Still, you should have held back.” “I was. If I weren’t, I would have already broken that traitor’s skull in just four punches.” Leon shook his head. People who might hear Hunter might say he was arrogant and overconfident, but what Hunter said was true. Hunter has been training his boxing skills since he was a kid, and everyone who knows Hunter Ramirez, the boss, knows how beastly he is at using fists. Even their enemies and the other o
“I still can’t believe that asshole was telling the truth,” Liza said as she looked at the business card Hunter gave her. “He really is the CEO of Starsnest.” Liza let out a deep sigh. He still didn’t believe him, and she only laughed after he said he was the CEO of Starsnest because she thought he was lying. II mean, who in their right mind would believe everything that their stalker says? She thought. And because she really couldn’t believe what Hunter said, she sent him away. And she thought it would be difficult for her to send him and his bodyguards away since he said he wouldn’t be leaving unless she said yes. She was so surprised when he suddenly said, “Fine. I’ll leave for today. But I will be back tomorrow. And by tomorrow, I won’t accept anything but your eyes anymore.” And she was even more surprised when Hunter suddenly kissed her after saying that. Liza did not know how long the kiss lasted or when it ended. She doesn’t even remember how Hunter left or what he said a
Rona and Liza quickly broke away from each other when they heard Hunter’s voice, which they didn’t realize was right in front of them. Liza stood up first while drying her tears with her palms. Rona remained seated but stared intently at Hunter. Rona was frowning as she stared intensely at Hunter as if she remembered where she saw the man. She didn’t bother to dry the tears rolling down her cheeks. “Why are you here again? And how did you get in?” Liza asked gruffly. “The door was open, so I invited myself in,” Hunter answered. “Didn’t your mother teach you not to just enter the house without permission? I can sue you for trespassing!” “Can you still even afford to sue me when you’ve already lost your only job?” “This asshole–” “And even if you try to sue me, we both know you won’t win. Have you already forgotten who I am?” Liza snorted. She already knew that bickering with Hunter would be useless since he always had an answer for her. So even though she wanted to curse him, s
