Ethan POV

“My lord, it is done. The distribution was a success,” Liam said, kneeling as he emerged from the shadows. He extended his hand, presenting the golden envelope sealed with a dragon emblem.

“You're certain there were no mistakes this time?” I asked, my gaze narrowing into a glare as I took the envelope from him. The last time, there had been issues—a mistake that had nearly cost me my life.

“Yes, my lord. The wolfsbane was distributed without incident, and all traces have been erased, including the rogues.” He replied, and I gave a small nod of approval.

“Good, send the payment over to him,” I said, my tone cold as I opened the envelope. My eyes scanned the contents, and as I read further, my gaze darkened, narrowing in distaste.

Dear Ethan,

Ah, my favorite thorn in my side. It’s your beloved King Thorne here — in case you somehow forgot who I am. Do you miss me yet? Because I certainly miss you... like a lonely lover waiting by the door for you to grace me with your magnif

Thorne POV“Do I have to go? Do I really have to go? Can't I just make some excuse that I'm sick or something?” Hades whined, swinging my arm like a child. If you really thought about it, that’s exactly what he was—a fifteen-year-old brat with all the time in the world to be spoiled, childish, and downright ridiculous.I smiled, my eyes curving upward as I patted his head. “You need to go, Hades. It’s the werewolf gala, where all the packs will be attending, and your duty as the youngest son of the king is to be present.”Yet, this spoiled, childish, and stupid kid was stronger than me. Far stronger. This kid, who used to run away from training with the king, was more powerful than I ever was.“Pfft, we have a ton of events like this every day! All the packs are always there. Why does Dad have to go through all this trouble? I’m sure half of them don’t even want to be there!” He huffed, flinging his arms in the air dramatically, clearly fed up.“Well, it is necessary,” I replied, kee

Disclaimer: Intense sex scene.Thorne POVI ran my hand through the hair of the young girl in front of me, my fingers tangling in her soft strands as I gazed down at her. Her wide eyes were filled with fear, her small frame trembling like a leaf caught in a storm. She looked up at me, her lips quivering as if she wanted to say something but couldn't find the courage. The corner of my lips curled into a wicked smirk as I leaned back, my gaze locked on her. She was the newest addition—a fresh, trembling piece of prey plucked from one of the captured packs. I had been too busy to indulge in my daily sessions, but tonight, my frustration demanded an outlet. And she—helpless, wide-eyed, and at my mercy—was the perfect target. "How old are you, girl?" I asked, my voice a low purr as my fingers brushed against her face, tracing her features like I was carving them into memory. She shivered under my touch, her eyes fluttering closed as a deep, shaky breath escaped her. My fingers paused at

Just do it and stop acting like a coward,” Rylie chimed in, and I could practically feel the smug, mischievous grin stretching across his face. Eva clicked her tongue and I knew that she was shooting him a glare. “Stop talking to her like that! Don’t forget she’s now the king’s guest and—” “Yeah, yeah,” Rylie interrupted, “She’s the king’s guest, and I should be respectful. Blah, blah, blah. Can we drop the royal etiquette lesson and focus on what’s important here? Like convincing this drama queen to grow a spine.” Eva groaned. “You’re impossible.” “And you’re welcome.” Rylie gave her a mock bow, earning himself a swat on the back of the head. "Will you two stop arguing and listen to me for once?" I snapped, throwing my hands in the air. To my surprise, they actually stopped mid-bicker and turned their gazes to

The king's safety is important.”As we walked, my gaze locked onto the patrolling guards, making sure they were alert and doing their jobs. The air was tense since every detail mattered.I should pay attention because every detail mattered—it really did. But as I walked and examined things, my head was clouded with thoughts of her, distracting me from everything.Davina. I was thinking about the girl who belonged to the king. Davina povThe silence seemed like it would stretch on for an eternity, but then, like the flick of a switch, the murmurs and hushed whispers began as I stood frozen in place, unable to move under his intense gaze."Is that the blind girl the king likes?" A woman's voice cut through the chatter, her tone low but loud enough for me to hear as her eyes sized me up like I was some strange exhibit at a zoo."I mean, it must be her. Who else have you seen with white hair and eyes like hers?" Another voice scoffed, and I could practically feel her eyes burning holes into me.What did the king even see in her? I heard she was a servant before this. She looks like a freak. And she’s blind, isn’t she?" The biting words from the women surrounded me, their judgment clear as daylight. Then came the men."Damn, she looks hot. Hades pov.“Our mate would never poison you. She’s not like that.”As soon as I left the room, Cyrus’s voice echoed in my head, laced with exasperation, as if he was already fed up with me.The corner of my lips curled into a sneer. Did he think I was stupid? Of course, she wasn’t the one who had tried to poison me with wolfsbane. Despite how furious I was, I wasn’t dumb enough to believe that the little slave could pull off something like that. But at that moment, I was too enraged to care.“My king.” Felix appeared behind me, his head bowed respectfully as he followed.“Have you done what I asked?” I asked, not pausing in my steps or bothering to acknowledge him.“Yes, my king. Everything is ready as you instructed.”"Good, I’ll be there in a bit." With that, I turned the corner, heading toward the very place I had sworn not to go—the place I told myself I didn’t care about. Yet, despite my resolve, my legs carried me there anyway."Greetings to the King," the guards saluted as I st

Elara pov.At first, when I heard Hades' words, I felt a wave of relief—Draven was alive. But that relief quickly turned into disbelief as his accusations sank in.I struggled to wrap my head around what he was saying. It was too much, too fast, and none of it made sense—because I hadn't done any of the things he was accusing me of.Elope with Draven? Try to poison him with wolfsbane? And the letter?!Goddess, at this point, it would have been better if I had just remained unconscious because what the hell was going on?“No! I didn't try to elope with Draven, and the letter—the letter was tampered with! It wasn't what I had written, and I would never try to poison you. Why would I when I was trying to save you instead?”Slam!I gasped as Hades slammed his hand against the wall, just inches from my head. I couldn't see, but I knew there was now a hole in the wall. If he had missed by even an inch, my head would probably be the one with the hole instead.I swallowed nervously, my legs b

Elara pov.“It’s okay, don’t cry. Everything will be okay. Please just do me a favor—when you see him, tell him that I am sorry for betraying him and that he shouldn’t blame himself. That it isn’t his fault.”I gasped and sat up, my breathing rapid as I clutched my chest in pain, a burning sensation ripping through me, forcing my eyes shut as a groan escaped my lips. The crystal tattoo—it was what was burning. I whimpered, trying to take deep breaths to calm myself and ease the pain. As the seconds passed, the sharp ache in my chest slowly dulled before finally fading away. What just happened? Why was it so hot this morning?Wait— that wasn’t the question I should be asking. There was something far more important than the crystal tattoo… but what was it? Her head was thrown back, mouth parted, soft moans slipping past her plump pink lips.My head rested on my other hand as I looked down coldly at the three men kneeling before me, their heads bowed in submission, bodies slightly trembling under my cold, expressionless gaze.Nobody answered. The corner of my lips curled into a cold smirk as I quickened the pace of my fingers, letting the slut’s moans fill the quiet room.I watched as the two men—Ethan and Liam—shifted uncomfortably on their knees, struggling to keep their expressions blank, though it was hardly working. They were men, after all. They had desires, especially when faced with a naked woman begging to be fucked and ravished. My gaze shifted to Kian, a slow, wry smirk tugging at the corner of my lips as I observed him—the only man who seemed to be built differently. Hades pov“What?” I asked, staring at Felix in shock as my heart pounded heavily against my chest. My hands clenched into fists, my eyes narrowing, desperately hoping that whatever Felix had just said was some cruel joke. How dare he joke about something like this? After everything that happened in the hunting ground, the first thing I did was take Davina to my room to be treated by the pack doctor. I had wanted to stay by her side throughout the night and had strictly ordered that I was not be disturbed for any reason, no matter how urgent the situation was. But not long after, Felix had jumped through the window, disobeying my orders for the first time. Before I even had the chance to get angry and punish him for his disobedience, he dropped this bombshell on me.“Repeat what you just said,” I demanded again, my eyes narrowing into a dangerous glare as I stepped closer, towering over him. He remained on his knees, head bowed.“Beta Draven has been stabbed multiple times, and his con

The clash of swords against flesh, the agonizing, heartbreaking cry of Draven as he collapsed behind me—it all broke within. But no matter what I heard, I didn’t look back. I just kept moving. Even when I stumbled, I forced myself up, my legs burning as I ran toward the hunting grounds.“Get her! Don’t let her escape, you idiots!” The loud voices of the guards echoed behind me as I pushed forward. I didn’t know how I found the strength to outrun a dozen men, but somehow I was able to as I tried to get there before it was too late—before Hades drank the wolfsbane.“I’m sorry. I’m sorry… I promise to save him,” I muttered under my breath, taking a swift turn to the left.“She’s going to the hunting grounds. Quick, force the shift!” Immediately, I could hear the cracking of bones, followed by the loud sounds of paws

Before I could react, I heard him groan and stagger, coughing as he collapsed toward the ground.I gasped and quickly reached out to catch him, but his weight sent me crashing down with him, his hard body pinning me against the floor. A sharp pain shot through me, making me groan.Fuck. Are these people made of steel?I blinked, reaching back to rub my aching lower back, but then froze as his low, deep voice cut through the air, making my breath hitch.“Davina…”His voice snapped me out of my daze, and I quickly reached out to steady him. But before I could say anything, he coughed again—hard.I stilled.Blood.He was coughing up blood.I stiffened as I felt the warm liquid on me. For a moment, I sat there like a fool, frozen in place, until he coughed again for the third time—that finally snapped me out of it.“Draven, are you okay? I couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. I could only stand there, helpless, as she accused me. Everyone’s eyes were fixed on me in horror, backing away as though I were some kind of virus.“No. I wasn't the traitor. I wasn't trying to poison the king.”That was what I had wanted to say, to tell them, but before I could utter a word, the first accusation came.“P-poison the king! Oh my goddess, she was trying to poison the king with wolfsbane!” someone from the crowd yelled, and others gasped.“No wonder she ran away! She did it to escape! She ran away to avoid getting caught!” another exclaimed.“Oh goddess, you're right. How could she do such a thing?”I staggered back as their words pierced my heart, ringing in my ears.Stop it. For some reason, I couldn’t.It took me about thirty minutes to reach the palace and when I did, I instantly froze when I heard sounds of footsteps and voices. Reacting quickly, I ran towards tree, hiding behind it before I could be seen.“Did you hear that the king's mate has gone missing and he ordered almost half of the guards to look for her” A gruff male voice said and I sucked in a breath as the voices drew nearer.Hades was looking for me?“Really? Even though since the king's mate, isn't she blind and wolfless. I still don't understand why he hasn't rejected her yet, if it was me I would have done that long ago, tsk”.“Shh.
