Adeline's pov

Going to my grandma's suite, I found my mom with my grandma and Gabby. I was able to tell them all what had happened, and when I finished, they were looking at me in disappointment.

“You sent your mate off to a situation where he could be killed, My Goddess child, I didn't think you were so callously selfish,” my mom said sadly. Monica just shook her head and continued poking her sewing needle into the black ball gown I would wear.

Feeling deflated I wrung my hands together and lowered my eyes.

“I didn't think of the possibility of him being killed; I mean, he is a member of the Moon Council and taking Grandpa with him,” I stated just as Daniel entered the room and eyed us oddly.

“Have you seen Donovan? I can't find him anywhere,” he huffed and I hissed a worrisome, “OH NO!”

Daniel sighed, “Would anyone care to fill me in on what is going on?”

“Mister Hawkins left to take care of that Neville bastard so he and your grandchild can be mates in peace,” Monica
