Chapter 84: A Fierce One

Athena’s POV

The sun was scorching today; I looked up at the sky and sighed; my lips were parched, and I needed to drink something to quench my thirst. I exited my room and headed down to the kitchen to fetch some water and possibly some nibbles.

I could have called Miriam to help me fetch all of these things, but she was with Evan and I didn't want to bother her. Everyone I passed nodded to acknowledge me, and I knew the word of Evan being the alpha's son and me being his mate must have spread throughout the pack.

I was already used to the looks, and I don't mind when people lock their gaze on me, I stepped into the kitchen and all the chatting stopped. I ignored them and took a glass of water, which I drank all at once and then took another, hoping to cure my awful thirst.
