Chapter 22: The Favorite Parent

Athena’s POV

The kids' giggling warmed my heart; Andrew was busy playing with them, and they ran all over the place; I could easily say Andrew is the favorite parent between both of us

I sat on the bed, my heart gladdened just by the sight of them, and I can't fathom the happiness they have brought into my life. It seems like only yesterday that I was in the theater room with Alice, trying to push them out of my belly, but now they will be celebrating their one-year-old birthday tomorrow.

“Stop it, Evan, you're going to pull a tooth,” I said, and Andrew laughed.

“You worry too much about the kids, they're fine, and I'm here with them,” he said, and I groaned; I know how much I worry about them, and I can't blame myself; they're all I've got, and if anything happens to them, I don't believe I'll ever forgive myself.

“Yeah, I know,” I answered with a smile as I heard a knock on the door and Andrew growled a come in, the door opened, and beta Royce entered my room.
