Chapter 28: A Question at a Time

Athena’s POV

I groaned as I clutched my palm on my head and felt a severe headache pass through my skull. I yawned as I gently opened my eyes.

I looked around the room and realized it was unfamiliar to me, my eyes widened in awareness that I might have been kidnapped, I attempted getting up quickly but fell on the bed groaning, I grabbed my head once again attempting to soothe the agony I felt

“Easy lady,” a strange voice muttered, and I quickly darted my gaze to my side, where I noticed a man standing with a cup of coffee in his hand, a small spoon in his right hand, and stirring the contents of the coffee cup.

“How do you feel now that you're up?” he inquired, and I closed my eyes groaning; the last thing I recalled was rushing with my kids within the forest, and I blacked out when I was struck by a large piece of wood.

“What am I doing? What happened to my children? What is your name? How did I end up here?” I inquired, and he chuckled.
