Andrea’s POV I groaned and rose from my bed, bored, and considered what I might do to make myself feel better. I sighed and left my room, deciding to check on Alpha Gideon, the fact that he was still alive troubled me because it was already time for him to die. I was bored by having partial control over the pack because I wanted to be the only leader of the pack before Elder Ryker tried to have the pack for himself, the witch didn't warn me the concoction would take so long before he died. My head hurt as I thought about Elder Ryker and his so-called son, whose objectives I don't understand. I gently walked out of my room and went to Alpha Gideon’s chambers. I sighed and halted my steps in front of Alpha Gideon’s doorstep, I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I wrinkled my brows, puzzled as to why the door was locked. "Is Alpha Gideon dead, or is he finally on his feet?" I wondered. Several thoughts ran through my mind at once, and I felt upset. I attempted to open th
Andrea’s POV As Alpha Gideon moved closer to me, I took a step back. He had a wide sneer on his face, and I felt my world crumble before me. I had gone through a lot for this, and he was supposed to die, not standing on both feet and staring at me. He sneered, wiping the tip of his nose with the back of his hand, his lips slid to the left side of his face, and his eyes were filled with rage, not that I blamed him after what had transpired. "How are you on your feet?" I asked and he chuckled softly, relishing my suffering. My eyes raced everywhere, expecting to find something to defend myself with. “Did you think I would lay down there and just give up, did you think I wouldn’t find a way to save myself? I didn't come this far to give up so easily. The biggest mistake I made is letting you into this pack, I should have left you and your brother to suffer when you came here seeking help, you wouldn’t have jeopardized my plans, every effort I have put out” he said and I snorted.
Athena's POV I sighed and walked out of my room with the intention of filling my stomach; I'd been so preoccupied with training that I hadn't realized I hadn't eaten much. Miriam was heading down the hall towards me when I noticed Evan wasn't with her, so I arched my brows at her, and she stopped walking when she was close to me. "Where is Evan?"I inquired as she stood before me, engrossed. "The little man is sleeping in his room," Miriam replied, and I nodded."You should be with him because I have something to discuss with Alpha Daniel, I want you to stay with him as long as you can," I replied, and she agreed. "I will do that without fail," Miriam answered, and I gave a small smile before she walked away. I have no one in the palace that I trust more than her, she is the only one I am safe to leave Evan with. I strolled down the stairs and into the kitchen; I needed to do something to distract myself, so I decided to cook my late meal myself. I looked through the kitchen and
Andrea's POVMy legs were stuck in place, reluctant to move closer to Alpha Gideon, who had stopped gulping for air and had stopped moving. My body immediately went cold, and when I regained my strength, I came closer to him and knelt before him. I tried to feel his pulse, but he wasn't breathing, his chest wasn't moving, and he was dead. I screamed and collapsed on the floor, crawling back with my hands and ass rubbing the ground. I know I've always wanted Alpha Gideon to die, but this wasn't how I intended it; I didn't want his death to impact me so that I could win the people's hearts.Tears welled up in my eyes, and I was terrified; I had never been so terrified in my life. I was unsure of what to do, and I didn't know if there was any way I could dispose of his body without being discovered. Several things raced through my mind at once, and I blamed myself for stabbing him with the hairpin. But I couldn't totally blame myself because if I hadn't murdered him, he would have kille
Andrea’s POV When Elder Ryker noticed us, his feet paused, his sight went between me and Lucas, and then his focus dropped to the wrapped dead body. "What exactly is going on here?" What did you wrap in a big blanket?"Elder Ryker inquired, and I cocked my head to glance at Lucas, he had a look on his face that said, "I told you so," he had predicted this, but I was too desperate to think it through. "We don't owe you an explanation, Elder Ryker, I didn't ask you while you were holding a candle in the middle of the night," I said, smirking, and he leaned closer to me and sniffed. His eyes sparkle like a predator who has finally caught its prey. “Holding a candle in the middle of the night is not suspicious Andrea, but wrapping a whatsoever in a blanket and dragging it out of your room in the middle of the night is suspicious,” he said and my frown deepened. I wished I could just flick my finger, and he'd be gone; I had no one else to blame but Lucas; if he had accepted the tim
Athena’s POVAs the men gathered inside the trunk, ready to go to war, the moon shone brightly, and Miriam stood outside, holding Evan in her hand. Athena moved closer to them and kissed the top of Evan's head, murmuring, "I will be back soon." "Are you certain about this? Isn't this dangerous?"Miriam inquired, and I offered a feeble smile. "It's dangerous, but we have to take the risk and fight for eternal peace," I replied, and Miriam gave me a look that indicated she didn't believe me. "However you are not required to leave. alpha Daniel and the guards are more than enough to fight this battle; just stay back for Evan," Miriam grumbled. “As we have discussed before, I am going for this battle and I will be back, you have no reason to be scared, I assure you that everything will be fine, okay?” I said and Miriam gulped slowly nodding her head. Alpha Daniel suddenly approached us, his outfit radically different as he was dressed for a battle, his eyes darting between us, and he
Daniel's POV I moved away from Athena as soon as I asked her to stay where I would be able to find her, I grabbed my sword fiercely, waiting for the first person to attack me,The Pack inhabited the moonlit meadows as they gathered before me and my men, some of their men had shifted into their wolf form just like some of my men, their fur shimmering at night and they growled lightly. The night was still, and the garden held its breath as we gathered in a clearing, their eyes gleaming with determination and fury. Their muscles tense and their teeth bared.Amongst the men who stood, a man stepped forward. He was slightly older than the rest and I arched my brows at him, I was sure I had seen him before. He cleared his throat as his eyes wandered around us before settling his gaze on me. He was adorned with a silver crescent necklace, and stood tall, his howl resonating through the trees.“To what do we owe this attack?” the man asked, and I stepped forward. “I only want to speak with
Athena’s POV Lucas's eyes darted between us before he sighed and decided to walk away, I cracked the bone in my neck waiting for Andrea to attack first. Andrea’s bone cracked as she shifted into her wolf, my bones cracked too, and I shifted, which made my senses heightened and energy pulsing through me. Andrea stalked me like her prey. Her silvery-white fur was illuminated by the moon. She moved with calculated stealth, her eyes focused and unyielding. The atmosphere grew tense, we stood at the edge of a clearing, our eyes locked in an unwavering stare. A gust of wind rustled the leaves, and unexpectedly, the clash began. Andrea lunged forward, teeth bared and claws extended, aiming to strike me down with swift precision. But I, having anticipated her aggression, effortlessly dodged the attack, swiftly pivoting on my hind legs. In a swift countermove, I leaped onto Andrea’s back, my vicious teeth sinking deep into Andrea’s shoulder, drawing blood. A guttural growl escaped Andrea
