Alpha Gideon

I was becoming weaker, and I could see my end approaching, which I refused to accept; I am not ready to die, and I can't die now after everything I have been through; I have worked so hard to be where I am today, and it would be such a waste if I died.

I looked out the window at the sky, pleading to the moon goddess to heal me. I know it will take time for her to listen to my prayers after all the evil I have done to get to where I am now, but she has to reconsider because all I have gone through was also her fault.

She should have brought me into this world from a well-known and notable family; instead, she brought me into this world from a trashy family; I grew up being teased, people pointing accusing fingers at me, and they never missed an occasion to show how worthless I was.

I'd had enough of everything and knew it was time for me to take matters into my own hands; I couldn't sit back and wait for the moon goddess to continue writing my fate because I was goi

Gideon’s POV The day arrived swiftly, and I awoke stretching my body, I had hissed while stretching my body so badly because my body had gotten sore from resting in one position, I decided to pretend until I was certain I could reclaim my lost splendor. The doorknob abruptly moved and I instantly relaxed. Two maids entered with a bowl of water, one holding the bowl and the other a towel. I lay quiet as they approached, watching as they carefully placed the bowl on the floor, the girl with the trowel dipped it in water and gently cleansed my skin, and I lay still, letting them do whatever they wished. When they were through, they bowed to me and walked away with the dirty water in the bowl and a wet towel; I was dying to see Mary and tell her the antidote had worked just beautifully. The door opened again, and my lips curved into a smile, which quickly faded as I realized it was the doctor entering the room, rather than Mary. The doctor approached me and checked my vitals. I ponde

Andrea’s POV I groaned and rose from my bed, bored, and considered what I might do to make myself feel better. I sighed and left my room, deciding to check on Alpha Gideon, the fact that he was still alive troubled me because it was already time for him to die. I was bored by having partial control over the pack because I wanted to be the only leader of the pack before Elder Ryker tried to have the pack for himself, the witch didn't warn me the concoction would take so long before he died. My head hurt as I thought about Elder Ryker and his so-called son, whose objectives I don't understand. I gently walked out of my room and went to Alpha Gideon’s chambers. I sighed and halted my steps in front of Alpha Gideon’s doorstep, I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I wrinkled my brows, puzzled as to why the door was locked. "Is Alpha Gideon dead, or is he finally on his feet?" I wondered. Several thoughts ran through my mind at once, and I felt upset. I attempted to open th

Andrea’s POV As Alpha Gideon moved closer to me, I took a step back. He had a wide sneer on his face, and I felt my world crumble before me. I had gone through a lot for this, and he was supposed to die, not standing on both feet and staring at me. He sneered, wiping the tip of his nose with the back of his hand, his lips slid to the left side of his face, and his eyes were filled with rage, not that I blamed him after what had transpired. "How are you on your feet?" I asked and he chuckled softly, relishing my suffering. My eyes raced everywhere, expecting to find something to defend myself with. “Did you think I would lay down there and just give up, did you think I wouldn’t find a way to save myself? I didn't come this far to give up so easily. The biggest mistake I made is letting you into this pack, I should have left you and your brother to suffer when you came here seeking help, you wouldn’t have jeopardized my plans, every effort I have put out” he said and I snorted.

Athena's POV I sighed and walked out of my room with the intention of filling my stomach; I'd been so preoccupied with training that I hadn't realized I hadn't eaten much. Miriam was heading down the hall towards me when I noticed Evan wasn't with her, so I arched my brows at her, and she stopped walking when she was close to me. "Where is Evan?"I inquired as she stood before me, engrossed. "The little man is sleeping in his room," Miriam replied, and I nodded."You should be with him because I have something to discuss with Alpha Daniel, I want you to stay with him as long as you can," I replied, and she agreed. "I will do that without fail," Miriam answered, and I gave a small smile before she walked away. I have no one in the palace that I trust more than her, she is the only one I am safe to leave Evan with. I strolled down the stairs and into the kitchen; I needed to do something to distract myself, so I decided to cook my late meal myself. I looked through the kitchen and

Andrea's POVMy legs were stuck in place, reluctant to move closer to Alpha Gideon, who had stopped gulping for air and had stopped moving. My body immediately went cold, and when I regained my strength, I came closer to him and knelt before him. I tried to feel his pulse, but he wasn't breathing, his chest wasn't moving, and he was dead. I screamed and collapsed on the floor, crawling back with my hands and ass rubbing the ground. I know I've always wanted Alpha Gideon to die, but this wasn't how I intended it; I didn't want his death to impact me so that I could win the people's hearts.Tears welled up in my eyes, and I was terrified; I had never been so terrified in my life. I was unsure of what to do, and I didn't know if there was any way I could dispose of his body without being discovered. Several things raced through my mind at once, and I blamed myself for stabbing him with the hairpin. But I couldn't totally blame myself because if I hadn't murdered him, he would have kille

Andrea’s POV When Elder Ryker noticed us, his feet paused, his sight went between me and Lucas, and then his focus dropped to the wrapped dead body. "What exactly is going on here?" What did you wrap in a big blanket?"Elder Ryker inquired, and I cocked my head to glance at Lucas, he had a look on his face that said, "I told you so," he had predicted this, but I was too desperate to think it through. "We don't owe you an explanation, Elder Ryker, I didn't ask you while you were holding a candle in the middle of the night," I said, smirking, and he leaned closer to me and sniffed. His eyes sparkle like a predator who has finally caught its prey. “Holding a candle in the middle of the night is not suspicious Andrea, but wrapping a whatsoever in a blanket and dragging it out of your room in the middle of the night is suspicious,” he said and my frown deepened. I wished I could just flick my finger, and he'd be gone; I had no one else to blame but Lucas; if he had accepted the tim

Athena’s POVAs the men gathered inside the trunk, ready to go to war, the moon shone brightly, and Miriam stood outside, holding Evan in her hand. Athena moved closer to them and kissed the top of Evan's head, murmuring, "I will be back soon." "Are you certain about this? Isn't this dangerous?"Miriam inquired, and I offered a feeble smile. "It's dangerous, but we have to take the risk and fight for eternal peace," I replied, and Miriam gave me a look that indicated she didn't believe me. "However you are not required to leave. alpha Daniel and the guards are more than enough to fight this battle; just stay back for Evan," Miriam grumbled. “As we have discussed before, I am going for this battle and I will be back, you have no reason to be scared, I assure you that everything will be fine, okay?” I said and Miriam gulped slowly nodding her head. Daniel's POV I moved away from Athena as soon as I asked her to stay where I would be able to find her, I grabbed my sword fiercely, waiting for the first person to attack me,The Pack inhabited the moonlit meadows as they gathered before me and my men, some of their men had shifted into their wolf form just like some of my men, their fur shimmering at night and they growled lightly. The night was still, and the garden held its breath as we gathered in a clearing, their eyes gleaming with determination and fury. Their muscles tense and their teeth bared.Amongst the men who stood, a man stepped forward. He was slightly older than the rest and I arched my brows at him, I was sure I had seen him before. He cleared his throat as his eyes wandered around us before settling his gaze on me. He was adorned with a silver crescent necklace, and stood tall, his howl resonating through the trees.“To what do we owe this attack?” the man asked, and I stepped forward. “I only want to speak with

Athena’s POV It’s been a month since the death of Andrea and Lucas, and it still felt unreal, this past month has been the happiest I have been in my life. I have never felt so at peace, sleeping with no course to worry about. I looked at my wedding dress, and it was breathtaking, I ran my hand through it and it was a masterpiece, with delicate lace and silk, adorned with shimmering beads and sequins. I smiled as I took it from the hanger and wore it. Slowly slipping into the wedding dress, I felt an indescribable sensation. Every delicate stitch seemed to weave love and happiness into the fabric. As I stood before the mirror, I gasped in awe at the vision it reflected. My eyes shimmered with tears of overwhelming joy as I finally realized my dream of being a bride. I stepped out of the room when I was pleased with the way I looked and met beta Carl outside, he had promised to walk me down the aisle and I have never felt so glad. Beta Carl stretched his hand and I slowly placed m

Athena’s POVI watched as Lucas gulped for air while struggling to stay alive, he died and Andrea screamed and ran over to his dead body. She tried to carry him, but she had no power as she cried profusely. “Lucas! Lucas wake up!” she screamed and the kind part of me felt bad while watching her cry, but I suddenly remembered how she laughed devilishly as they killed Emily, every ounce of pity I felt for her left immediately and I scowled. “Are you ready to give up now or not?” Alpha Daniel asked a land, and Andrea shot him an angry look.“I would rather avenge my brother! Avenge my mother who died pitifully in the wilderness, avenge my father who was killed and reaped his title!” Andrea screamed and she stood up, trying to attack Alpha Daniel. I move closer to her and yank her hair, pulling her down, “don’t you think it’s time for you to give up? It’s time you stop everything you are doing and reflect on yourself?” I said, and she elongated her claws, trying to tear my face like I

Athena’s POV I was about to lunge at Andrea after snarling when I heard a screeching yell that caused me to tilt my head immediately. I discovered it was Donald who produced that sound, and I attempted to control my heavy breathing as I stared at him. Elder Ryker was able to escape Alpha Daniel's strike when I noticed him, and his eyes widened in amazement as he saw his son, his body went pale quickly, and I smirked, it seemed what Donald said was true. He must have assumed his son was dead. "You…you are alive?"Elder Ryker pushed himself to say, and his son frowned at him. “You must have thought I got burnt in that car, I escaped and here I am, it’s nice to see you again Father!” Donald said as I stepped closer to them after he mentioned the crest. “What’s going on here?!” a man who I didn’t recognize asked but looking at his attire he seemed to be the chief commander of their pack. “My father, Elder Ryker is responsible for killing the old alpha, Luna Evelyn’s father, for h

Daniel's POV The night was quiet, and I sighed as I looked up at the sky; I had been outside for a while now, trying to clear my mind of the many things that were racing through it. This week, Beta Carl has been quite active and helpful in attempting to get everything in order. I wandered farther into the garden, admiring the gorgeous flowers and attempting to forget about everything going on around me. I sighed and decided it was time to return inside and meet Athena; I've grown so attached to her that I can only sleep better in her arms. I was headed towards the pack building when I heard a bomb detonate. The ground trembled, and I staggered; I tilted my head to see what was going on; I strained my ear and heard the cry of war approaching. My eyes opened in surprise; I hadn't anticipated being attacked. "There is a war approaching, everyone should get ready for a battle," I yelled to the pack members over the mind link as I dashed toward the pack house. I ran up the stai

Andrea’s POV When I saw the crest in Athena's hand, the blood on my face drained and I turned pale. The same crest that Alpha Gideon and I have worked so hard to obtain is now sitting on Athena's hand. I always assumed the crest was something tangible, not realizing that was not the case. When alpha Daniel and Athena exited the courtroom, I tried to rise but my body felt weak as I reflected on everything I had gone through to reach where I am now. I finally pulled myself up and began walking to my room; I can't let Athena and Alpha Daniel gain control of the army; I've sacrificed so much for this, and I'm not going to let it go easily. I slumped on my bed and I entered my room. * I couldn't sleep all night because I was tossing and turning in my bed, and the only time I tried to sleep, I had a terrifying dream about Athena killing me. At the first roasting crow, I got out of bed and decided to take a bath. I finished bathing and dressed in all black because I was still grie

Daniel’s POV Fear gripped me right away. I couldn't trust anyone, let alone a stranger when Athena spoke to me over the pack's mind link. As a result, I was instantly bothered. "What's the matter with you? You went quiet?" Alpha Andrew inquired, and I sighed. "Athena just spoke to me through the mind link; she said a man approached her and asked to speak to her and me," I replied, and they both narrowed their eyes. "Who is that man?"Alpha Andrew inquired. "She doesn't know him," I said. “I think it’s best if we go over and meet her immediately, we can’t be too sure of anything, you know” Beta Carl stated "He is right, we should go meet her right away," Alpha Andrew stated as we all stood up. We walked out of the house and encountered Athena, who was standing beside her with a man whose face I had never seen before. I was taken aback when he referenced the war and claimed to be Elder Ryker's son. I moved in closer to him. "Do you know the gravity of punishment you will re

Athena’s POV The car stopped in front of the pack building, and we both got out. We went inside, and I noticed Alpha Andrew and Edna, who seemed anxious when they saw us, and they approached us. "How did it go?"Alpha Andrew inquired hurriedly. “Exactly like I had thought, Andrea and an elder were blatantly refusing what I had said, but the rest wanted to comply” Alpha Daniel answered. "That elder must be gaining something from whatever is going on," Alpha Andrew responded. “Of course, it’s obvious but it’s not a problem to me, I am going to put them in their places like I have always done” Alpha Daniel answered. "I believe you, you should rest because you appear tired and Athena too,” Alpha Andrew said, and I nodded at what he said. “Yes, we will do that” Alpha Daniel replied, and we walked away from them. I went back to my room and sighed lying on the bed, I heard a knock on the door before the door was pushed open, Miriam came in with Evan, and my face broke into a smi

Daniel’s POV “The crest?” Elder Ryker asked and I smirked. He must have thought he was smart, but he wasn’t smart enough. Murmurs erupted in the hall as people were busy saying different things, no one had seen the crest for long, and it would be surprising if they saw it. “As I had said, Evelyn talked to us regarding everything that had happened in the pack, she told us Alpha Gideon wasn’t her real mate, he bewitched her to believe he was, just to get the alpha title when he finally succeeded, he killed her father and poisoned her every day after locking her up and lied to the world she was dead, he poisoned her and tortured her just to have his hands on the crest because that was the only way he would have full control over the pack’s army,” I said and the murmurs increased. My gaze was drawn to Andrea and Lucas, who were shivering. They appeared afraid, and I chuckled; I would give anything to see them look that way every day. "How sure are we that you're telling the truth? Sho

Athena’s POV I sighed as I looked out my window. I wasn't mentally prepared for the journey ahead of us; Alpha Daniel had sent a letter to Andrea, alerting her of our presence in the pack. The door swung open, and I turned to see Alpha Daniel enter the room. When he saw me, his face burst into a smile, and I swallowed when I noticed the black shirt he was wearing; Alpha Daniel looks nice in anything, but he always looks hot in this specific shirt. "Are you trying to seduce me?"I inquired, and he chuckled as he moved closer to me, wrapping his hands around my waist. I exhaled, resting on him. “I don’t mind seducing you over and over again if that makes you give me another child” Alpha Daniel replied and I chuckled. “You talk about babies too much, don’t you think?” I raise my brows at him. “I want a baby from you Athena, I want to see every stage of pregnancy in you” he murmured and slowly kissed my ear, I closed my eyes and wrapped my hand around his neck.
